At the heart of this circuit, the church of Sur, the th century church and its throne cemetery in a green corner, where children's games have been set up. In the building, a slab salutes the memory of Alix de Binanville, who was certainly a great lady in the region. Since Montharville, it is easy to join the Blé route in Beauce.
CHURCH AND FORTIFICATIONS
Read moreTo discover Sur in all its attractions, the best thing is to leave the 10 National Road connecting Chartres to Chateaudun to enter the village. The passing of the Loir, which winds in the commune, already gives a good idea of what can be discovered since you can see the back of the houses, sometimes nicely decorated terraces. A little further away is the church Notre-Dame, a majestic, majestic Gothic building around which the weekly market is located. Then by walking on the adjacent streets, there is a good chance of crossing walls of walls in the form of arches in particular, most often on the edge of the Loir.
ST. VALERIAN CHURCH
Read moreFrom the outside, the church Saint-Valérien impresses with its shape, scope and strength from these old stones. Built on three floors, which end with a clocher, the church also has a history spread over three centuries, the XII, XIII and xvith centuries, which are found in the interior architecture. In the main nave traces of wall paintings are visible; on the choir side, two side naves were added. Another particularity of the church is that the visit can take place at the rhythm of the statues: the name is placed under each character.
NOTRE-DAME DE LORETTE CHAPEL
Read moreThe village of Rouvray-Saint-Denis is one of the towns of Beauce eurélienne, which extends to the south-east of the department. In the hamlet of Arbouville, Notre-Dame de Lorette Chapel, founded in the sixteenth century, has the particularity of being made up of a first choeur and open choir. The other side, with a wooden cross on the facade, contains a statue of the Virgin Mary and gives access to an underground with two beautiful halls arched.
NOTRE-DAME-DU-PASME CHURCH
Read moreThe first thing we noticed from Notre-Dame-du-Pasme chapel is its impressive bell. A square shape, mixing stones of ocre or dark ochre, reminiscent of visible monuments in Spain which was under Arab influence, this tower is one of the impressive elements of the building. The continue continues by entering the church and discovering the stations of the cross path, of the great pentagons embodying the steps of the march of Jesus towards his crucifixion. The Pasme designates Mary's fainting during passion. A statue represents it on the side of the cross road. For the rest, wood and gilded are interwoven in this building where it is good to pause.
SAINT MICHAEL'S CHURCH
Read moreThe church Saint Michel is located on the south plateau of Dreux. Thanks to its huge wooden cross overlooking the area you will not be able to miss it. But if you are looking for flying arches, brisés, escutcheons, or even large windows, you will not find your happiness in this church. Indeed, far from the architectural style of the church of Saint Peter in the city centre, the church Saint Michel is in a model of sobriety and above all modernity. This church was built in the 1960 s and has a green area and a tar area for car parking.

Chauvallon, architect in Romorantin, the numerous sculpted medallions around the nave will be appreciated. They represent strange and picturesque characters, some of whom take the tongue shamelessly to passers-by. The magnificent Louis XIII altarpiece has just been restored. We admire the stained glass windows. The church recently partially renovated.

DUNGEON AND CHURCH
Read moreAt the intersection of the rue de la basse and the dolmen street, the church of Alluyes appears from the entrance to the commune, opposite the town hall and the local school. Then following the tree-lined road, the landscape changes a little: behind the cover of the trees pushing on the edge of the Loir which winds here, the dungeon of the former castle of the municipality stands apart. A property of a foundation that also operates the special educational institution of Alluyes, the dungeon overlooks the small village with its coffee and green spaces.
AT THE SOURCE OF THE DORMOUSE
Read moreBehind the town hall of Saint-Eman, the church restored in the autumn of 2012 an elegant washing house bathed in a basin named «La Source du Loir». It is therefore this site that leaves the river irrigates much of the region situated to the southwest of the department of the Eure-et-Loir. But another peculiarity distinguishes the St. Eman pond from: the presence of a hydraulic ram. This system was used to feed the old castle castle from the river. Mechanisms no longer work, but machines are still visible.
