Its first advantage, a large terrace that allows you to be almost feet in the water facing a pretty black sand beach. It is the freshness of its fish that has made the reputation of this restaurant. We recommend of course to try the Fula, a fish caught in the bay and the house's speciality, which you can taste with the traditional arrugadas dads. Also on the menu are garlic shrimps, squid and local cheese with its mojo. Good value for money and pleasant service.

The best thing about this restaurant is of course to be able to have a front row seat to enjoy the show: the statues of the Guanche kings with their backs to the sea and the impressive silhouette of the Basilica of the Virgin of Candelaria, both indoors and on the terrace. Apart from the show, we will be able to appreciate the classics: various croquettes, the traditional pulpo a la gallega, the Canarian cheeses or the papas arrugadas. The house is also known for its rice and green vegetable parilladas, assortments of fried vegetables.

In the 80's, it was the very first of the restaurants launched by the owners who own two others, in Playa Honda and Playa Blanca. The first setting was a small fisherman's house with a small piece of land, facing the sea. But in 2008, it became what it is today, a large restaurant, a beautiful terrace facing the sea, something to sit with your feet in the sand. As far as your taste buds are concerned, priority is given to the freshness of the fish caught in the traditional way and to the quality of the meats and rice served.

This address is a little off the beaten track from the classic visits to La Laguna, but it is worth the detour. First of all for the beautiful garden she offers her guests, then for the cuisine, delicious Portuguese specialties. This small restaurant is housed in a beautiful 1893 building. The Canarian cuisine is good and family-style and, above all, the quality-price ratio defies all competition, as the dishes, even the starters, are copious, not to say lavish. Vegetarians can opt for a parillada of green vegetables, accompanied by Canarian cheese. The accompanying mojos are satisfactory, although the fish is frozen, but at least displayed as such.

Right on the beach, El Senador offers you its seafood specialties with fish, prawns, octopus, squid, paellas (including the one from the sea), salmon carpaccio. And its star dish in this area is the sea bass with salt, lubina a la sal. On the meat side, there will be beautiful pieces from Galicia. But also salads and Canarian dishes such as homemade croquettes of cuttlefish and shrimp, or those with Iberian ham, and a wide range of pastas and pizzas served on a pleasant terrace and moreover with a warm welcome.

There was a time when this place only offered fish and seafood directly from the Agaete fish market. Today this is not always the case, so it is better to explicitly ask for fresh fish of the day, otherwise it will be frozen. Or else we'll opt for mussels. Unlike many Canarian restaurants, it does not serve large portions and the side dishes are a bit frugal. In a typical bodega setting, it's the ideal restaurant to try all the Canarian dishes, such as Canarian soups. Bodegon Viana is always full, as it's very popular with the locals. Great atmosphere. One menu, but you can also try the house specialties à la carte. You can, for example, try morcilla, a kind of black pudding also eaten on the peninsula, but in the Canaries it's filled with dried fruit and tastes like gingerbread. Good value and hearty portions.

Le Piscis also specialises in grilled fish and seafood. The menu is quite extensive, but we can recommend the homemade fish soup as well as the sea bass cooked in its salt crust. His paellas are also appreciated. One will notice his good selection of wines. An address to be discovered even if it remains a little expensive.

You don't come to Fado Rock if you're looking for a quiet and intimate atmosphere. It is the largest restaurant in Caleta, with a cafeteria look, specialising in grilled exotic meats, crocodile, kangaroo or ostrich. But there will also be some more traditional stuff like Argentine steak. It is really worth it if you are a meat lover, as they are of excellent quality and accompanied by good sauces. If the decibels seem a bit loud, you can always opt for the pleasant terrace.

Located in one of the most pleasant squares in Santa Cruz, this restaurant offers a varied menu and a warm welcome. On the restaurant's menu, foie gras mousse with caramelised cheese and La Palma honey, assorted local cheeses with mojos and La Palma honey, tuna tart, ravioli, magret, mussels a la plancha, hummus, salads... and local wines. This Templete is one of the best restaurants in El Medano. Situated a little away from the beach, it is quite quiet, even though it is located in a shopping centre. Moreover, its terrace is very appreciable and appreciated. On the tasting side, it is the Mecca of fresh fish that you can visualize before tasting and that you will appreciate for example by ordering a black cherry served a la plancha and accompanied by your dads. Canarian atmosphere also on the meat side with cochino negro or cabrito embarrado, a typical dish of Gomera.

Don't stop at his outward appearance. The restaurant doesn't look like much and is even a bit difficult to identify. You have to enter the house to appreciate its charm. It is an old traditional Canarian house with a nice interior patio where you can sit down to eat. Or he may prefer the covered terrace which, upstairs, offers a beautiful view of the ocean. Well located on the edge of the paseo Las Canteras, it is quite convenient for the small hungry of mini bocadillos, when leaving the beach or to have breakfast on the terrace. There you can indulge in the pleasure of enjoying it while looking at the sea. Namely, it is a little crowded at the weekend, because the pleasure of breakfast on the beach is particularly appreciated by the grancanarios.

Located above the Safari shopping centre, this former restaurant was completely renovated in 2012. But it remains a reference or even a must-see of Asian cuisine in the south of Tenerife. Of course, sushi will be served, but the range of dishes is much wider since the menu contains more than seventy dishes. We can venture to choose the Teppenayaki which allows to discover 5 different dishes. All being prepared in front of you with great dexterity. Do not hesitate to reserve a table especially on weekend evenings.

This casa roja, which deserves its name, is ideally located on the port. With a very beautiful room, but also a terrace that allows you to enjoy the view of the sea or a sunset. The restaurant offers a traditional cuisine, but with finely chosen products and a refined presentation. To test for example a pulpo a la brasa with chimichurri sauce and papas arrugadas. But the place is above all an excellent wine bar, ideal to discover the wines of the island with the very good advice of the team.

It is in this Italian restaurant that the local youth meets. It must be said that the welcome is particularly friendly, and that you can enjoy the terrace with a beautiful view on the playa de las Vistas. The menu is varied, with pizzas of course, including vegan variations, but also more sophisticated proposals such as a good fresh fish tartar. The two Italian owners have other addresses in the same street, for example, the Piccolo Paladar Restaurante, which also serves very good pizzas.

Very well located in the centre of Masca, next to the chapel and its small square, this bar-restaurant has the advantage of having a very nice terrace, with a view of the surrounding mountains, but also protected from the sun or wind. We will taste the classic tapas, all homemade, also served in the dining room. As they are copious, we won't hesitate to share. For dessert, rely on the homemade pies, which are very popular. Very attentive and fast service.

On a little square, you can eat tapas y original, including octopus with red wine or mussels with saffron. They have the secret of tapas in the country and these few family recipes, such as < i > las garbanzas compuestas < /i > Mama Keka… The traditional < i > mojo < /i > is presented under various versions house but it is sometimes a little expensive. Rstaurant in the heart of Yumbo which serves international cuisine. Pretty terrace, perfect for breakfast. 

This small and typical restaurant is located on the heights of Masca, in the oldest part of the village, near the museum and far from the tourist buses. First pleasure, from the terrace, you will be able to enjoy a superb view of the barranco (ravine) of Masca. But this is not the only pleasure, because this house will serve you cheese and cold cuts, which a chicken or a peacock from the area will probably covet. If you order them, you can also eat local specialties (rabbit, goat, etc.).

Its logo in the shape of a stylized goat's head shows its speciality: goat meat, since this is the little name it is given in majorero language. And in this area it is considered the best in the city, with cooking times that must last more than five hours to guarantee absolute tenderness. All of this is accompanied by the small vegetables that also make this stew a success. But his ambitions also push him to develop new flavours, associated with traditional dishes. Excellent reception in a nice setting.

I fell in love with this restaurant which doesn't look like much and which is one of the best Indian restaurants on the island. The whole, with a welcoming and particularly nice service and an excellent quality-price ratio. On the menu, you will find the classics of Indian cuisine: tandooris (not very spicy), masalas, kormas (milder, a mixture of curry and coconut milk), traditional curries, more or less spicy dishes, for vegetarians or not.

This is the restaurant of the parador, from which you will be able to appreciate the beautiful views of the tropical garden through the large windows. The local cuisine will of course be in the spotlight, with toast ofalmogrote (goat cheese and chili paste), kid meat or palm syrup(guarapo) to accompany some dishes. Occasionally, you can also opt for black cherne, a species of fish with delicate flesh, particularly appreciated by Canarians, accompanied by its papas and mojos.

We appreciate its magnificent sunny terrace which dominates the bay of Puerto del Carmen and allows to see until the island of Fuerteventura, by being careful to choose its place. It is a good address to soak up the local atmosphere. It offers mainly fish (grouper, sea bass) and seafood (grouper, sea bass, scampi...) all very good and copious but you can also try the mixed paella. We also appreciate the gesture of the small digestive offered at the end of the meal. Very pleasant setting, professional and friendly service.

Located on the fourth floor of the Adonis Hotel, this Niokobok, from nothing in Senegalese Wolof, offers since 2019 a beautiful clear space, divided into two sub-areas, a more traditional restaurant with tablecloths and a corner more lounge, stool, high or low tables... Where you can either make a full meal or make a tapo. At the controls is Marc, a Frenchman who has been living in the Canary Islands for 20 years. The result is a short but refined menu and well-presented dishes. We enjoyed the ceviche de sama roquera, a small, very fine fish and its Marcuyá sauce. To be continued.
