During the patron saint fiestas, the fiesta of los Cestos y Bollos, baskets and breads is held. Born about seventy years ago, it is a token of thanks after good harvests. On the last Sunday in August, cars loaded with baskets of fruit leave for the church of Santa Bárbara. Where unmarried women carry baskets filled with brioche buns on their heads, with figurines inside. These baskets will be placed in front of the church and will remain there until the end of the festivities. The whole thing will end with fireworks.

This night takes place on all the volcanic islands: La Palma, Tenerife, El Hierro, Lanzarote, you will discover a party entirely dedicated to volcanoes. On the program, excursions, guided tours, films on these volcanoes and the volcanoes of the world, stories and history of volcanoes, the role of volcanoes in climate change... In La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, San Juan de la Rambla, La Guancha and Icod de los Vinos. In Icod, young people and others walk down a sloping street on a greased wooden plank and celebrate the new wine with music, singing and of course tasting. In Puerto: jars and old objects are thrown away to make noise, the noche de los cacharros converging towards the Plaza del Charco and you can taste chestnut products, the castañada, but also other products appreciated in the island like the gofio or the cherne, fish.

The streets are decorated with floral crosses, Baille de Magos, the day before, masses, songs, dances last until dawn.

It is one of the most popular romerías in Tenerife and the Canary Islands. The festivities begin with the election of the queen. Several sports competitions are organized, including Canarian wrestling. The procession consists of decorated carts, boats, folk groups and cattle, which is blessed at the end of the procession. The end point of these festivities is marked by the "lazy man's burn". A mannequin made of straw and dressed in old clothes who represents a public figure is burned between shouts, criticism and insults.

They take place in different towns in Tenerife: Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz, Los Realejos and Guía de Isora (Playa Alcala and Playa San Juan). During these fishermen's festivals, the statue of the Virgin, preceded by a dance of ribbons, marches in procession from her hermitage to the beach where boats decorated with colourful flags await her. The fishermen take the statue aboard one of the boats, accompanied by the dancers, the standard and the priest.

It is the celebration par excellence marking the identity of Gran Canaria. The feast of the Virgin of Pino, the island's patron saint, takes place in and around Teror. The night before, hundreds of pilgrims come on foot from their villages to the Basilica of Teror, some out of devotion, others for fun or curiosity. Local produce, fruit and vegetables, fish and handicrafts are laid out in front of the Virgin, who is on the street in front of the basilica for the occasion. Then transported in a circuit in the heart of the city centre.

Since 1996, a host of international artists have been presenting their latest creations over a two-week period. On the program: concerts, choreographies, unexpected shows and collective creations where dancers even perform "suspended" in the air. They take place mainly in Santa Catalina Park, but also at La Puntilla, Santa Ana Square, Paseo de Las Canteras and Jean-Paul II Park.
