With its exterior appearance of an old-fashioned tavern, Chef Alvaro's table doesn't let you see anything... And yet, once you enter this old place and are served by the friendly comarero (who speaks French), you're in the bag! Not far from the lighthouse and at the bend in a stone alleyway of the Vila Vella, this friendly restaurant offers a wide variety of tapas and torrades (slice of toasted bread, topped with cold meats, cheese, etc.). Since 1973, El Posito has been an institution in Cambrils. Formerly located in the heart of the fish market, the friendly owner has moved to a quiet square a few years ago. The service room, with its decoration that evokes the subdued and wooded cabin of a boat, is huge and the service team very efficient. One comes to Posito to share some tapas del mar, but also to enjoy mussels and other seafood, and some good fresh fish skilfully prepared. Good wines and reasonable prices.

Located on the corner of one of the liveliest streets in the Eixample district, Soma offers a simple, warm dining experience in a century-old space decorated with minimalist, retro décor. Here, in addition to breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon, you'll enjoy traditional tapas adapted to the tastes of the Italian chef: vine croquetas , rice cakes au gratin, rigatoni bolognese and a whole range of seasonal recipes! Selected wines, a terrace for sunny days and the atmosphere of a Parisian bistro, with a Mediterranean touch to boot! Our favorite.

There are many restaurants on the Rambla del Poblenou. This one is, without a doubt, our favourite! Decorated in a slightly bohemian style, with its brick walls, wood panelling and ceramic zinc, the 58 is an excellent place to share creative tapas at great prices. On the slate: bravas, croquetas, Andalusian-style squid, vegetable risotto, aubergines with honey... Small dishes rather simple, but prepared with care and imagination. As a bonus, the French-speaking staff will give you a warm welcome!

Madrid's Michelin-starred chef Rodrigo de la Calle is behind this refreshing semi-gastro address on the first floor of the splendid Hotel Almanac. The main protagonist? Vegetables, the central element of "gastrobotany", a concept invented by the chef! Traditional tapas are revisited by placing vegetables, usually thought of as accompaniments, at the center of the creation! Several combinations are available: lunch menus, tasting menus and à la carte. Rodrigo presents his latest inventions at a monthly showcooking event!

This unassuming door in a busy Eixample street doesn't hint at the journey that awaits you. A journey of the senses - as suggested by the sign of this two-macaroon restaurant named "Cinq Sens" - guided by the delicacy of chef Jordil Atal and his very aesthetic Catalan cuisine. The man plays on contrasts (sweet/savory, hot/cold, solid/liquid) with an ease and joy that can be felt on the plate. The menu evolves with the seasons, each bringing its own textures and flavors for constantly renewed sensations!

Total makeover and restoration to highlight the wooden and granite structure of this farmhouse which was in turn a bar, restaurant and nightclub. Today, one comes to Rita Porta to taste a very good menu which mixes "mar i munt" and to admire the interior spaces and in particular the vast room of the^1st floor. In the plate, the quantities are generous (as often in Cerdanya), the dishes are tasty, the service smiling and the bill never salty. A bottle of organic wine is included in the menu. A nice surprise.

A safe bet in the port of Aiguadolç, to enjoy excellent Mediterranean cuisine by the water. Around its large tables with white tablecloths, many regulars and a few well-timed tourists come to enjoy fresh fish a la plancha, seafood,arrossos (rice-based dishes) and fideuá (noodle-based). On the menu, avoid the mayonnaise-laden salads and opt for a ration of mussels, octopus or chipirons, followed by the inevitable seafood paella "Laury", the house specialty.

You'll appreciate the quality and quantity of the products served at this Esquirol, which means squirrel in Catalan. You'll be able to sample unctuous local charcuterie, cod as tender as butter and truly succulent calamari. And all for a very reasonable price, since Eduardo, the owner, is keen to offer very reasonable prices. No worries either when it comes to service, as the mechanics are well oiled, the wait is short and the smile is always present, even though the restaurant is rarely empty. And to top it all off, the xarrup is on the house.

A very pleasant bar-restaurant where you can enjoy tapas and half portions (classic tapas, assorted Catalan cheeses, mini burgers, oriental tapas...). Decorated entirely with wooden crates and wine barrels. Terrace in a small paved alley. Highly recommended at aperitif time.

Settle under the brick vault in this excellent family tavern to enjoy well prepared and particularly tasty Catalan dishes. Several areas with rustic charm welcome guests. Among the specialities on the menu are crispy pork feet, eggs with foie gras and truffle, rice with rabbit or cuttlefish with mushrooms. We like its large green terrace, illuminated in the evening, and its rustic interior which gives the impression of sitting in an old tavern. In this historic masia dating back to 1929, the richly garnished dishes showcase Catalan and seasonal cuisine prepared according to the market's arrivals (selection of fresh meat and fish). Every Tuesday, it prepares theescudella i Carn d'olla, a typical Catalan stew and soup with meat and vegetables (available to take away!).

Restaurant located in the Plaça de l'Espolsada. A quiet place to rest, interesting at lunchtime for its low price menu. Specialized in torrades, a kind of toast made with typical products. Tapas and salads. For example, you can enjoy a toast with Iberian ham and Brie, escalivada and goat cheese, white pudding or a special toast like the Vic-King (in reference to the town of Vic) topped with Vic boutifarre, cheese, tomatoes and potatoes.

Here is a recommended address for eating out in the southern part of the city. In the old presbytery of Granollers, traditional cuisine from the Vallès Oriental with a contemporary touch, complemented by some international dishes. In the summer, you can dine outdoors in the large and pretty courtyard dating from 1700. In the long hall, thick stone walls are combined with modern and classic decoration. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Certified slow food and Biosphere, this eco-vegetarian restaurant offers healthy, authentic and colourful cuisine in an enchanting environment. We appreciate its large terrace planted under the trees. Garden, vegetable garden, delicious wines, romantic atmosphere in the evening in the light of the garlands... Jordi and Gemma launched their self-sufficiency and ecological restoration project in 2007. In addition to the restaurant, the place hosts a school offering courses and workshops (ecological agriculture, natural cosmetics, medicinal plants, food...).

On the road from Sant Celoni to Santa Fe. This restaurant of Catalan cuisine has made charcoal-cooked meat its speciality. Also on the menu: fish, stews, salads, roasts? Perched high in the wilderness, this restaurant celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020. Very appreciated by the locals for its vast, well-mown garden, its beautiful swimming pool and its tasty cuisine. Rustic and a bit chic. If you feel like it, try the snails, very successful. Braised meats are a sure value. Remember to reserve!

In a quiet corner, one of the favourite addresses of the locals to enjoy typical cuisine at affordable prices. Braised meats are the great specialty of the house. They are accompanied by good seasonal and local vegetables. Snails or artichokes on the embers are among the dishes to try. Not forgetting the delicious Catalan cream for dessert.
