THE TIP OF PERN
Read moreIt's the most visited place on the island. To get there, you will borrow a pleasant road through the hamlets and land parcels closed by stone walls. The vegetation is rase. The point is a classified site. The coastal road that flows northward gives to see a succession of shredded rocks, carved by wave assault. On the off, the Phare lighthouse provided the functions of sirène or fog horn. Two concrete towers stand on rocks: they supported the cables that link the lighthouse to the ground. A little further on the trail, the ruins appear: these are old buildings that have housed a fog horn in the last century, operated by horse riding. It's called the "Storm Villa." Further north, you cannot miss the lighthouse of Créac'h, with its white and black stripes. Lit in 1862, he guides more than 100 000 ships per year. It is 55 m high, its éclats with a reach of about 60 km make it one of the most powerful in Europe.
