The purpose of this museum and interpretation centre is to educate and sensitize the population and tourists to the region's wildlife, to understand their habitats and to preserve these species by respecting them. Some zoo species are declared endangered, such as the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, but also grizzly bears, which have been heavily impacted by human activities.
