SPOTTED LAKE

A very particular natural phenomenon, this lake contains more minerals than water, which makes it possible to cross it on foot. Made up of a concentration of calcium, sodium, sulphate, silver and titanium. The NK'Mip, First Nations people of the region, call it "KT Lix", or "healing water and mud", and have long used it for therapeutic purposes. In summer, the sun's rays crystallize the minerals and huge circles of colour form on the lake. Observable from the road only, as it is located on an Indian reserve.
