GEORGINA POINT HERITAGE PARK

At the end of the island, a lighthouse, erected in 1885 and in service until 1997, invites you to discover an interesting historical site. This lighthouse, The Active Pass Lighthouse, 13 metres high, played an important role in ensuring the safety of ships travelling to and from the cities of Victoria and Vancouver. A symbol of the community of Mayne Island, this site is very popular and appreciated by tourists, generating a certain interest that does not displease local residents. A must see!
