Wonderful lake with warm and exceptionally shallow waters, cut in two by a tongue of land at Osoyoos.
Situated in the heart of the town of Osoyoos, close to the U.S. border, this beautiful lake with its warm and exceptionally shallow waters is bisected by a spit of land: Haynes Point Provincial Park. Osoyoos Lake, at an elevation of 277 metres, can record a temperature of 26 to 33°C in August. It is the warmest desert region in Canada. A great place to enjoy a picnic and the beach. Swimming is permitted and recommended during heat peaks in this region.
