Housed in a beautiful 18th century house with four floors, this bar-club has a different music programme on each level. Upstairs, there is a piano bar for those who just want to chat, but downstairs, DJs and live bands (depending on the night) set the scene. The kitchen stays open until late, so you can eat good food. As far as the clientele is concerned, Yaki-da is the place to be for trendy clubbers and even Kanye West has been there!

Avenyn's chic club, quite posh and blinged out. You'd better dress up to go out if you don't want to be refused entry by the ruthless face booker. Lounge(s) is one of the most established nightclubs along the main Avenyn boulevard. Inside, a beautiful multi-storey house awaits you, with dance floors and well-stocked bars. The decor is cosy and the DJ plays upbeat commercial hits. A special bonus is the beautiful terrace with a view of Gothenburg's rooftops by night!

A very nice little design bar on the roof of the Scandic Hotel in the city. Good electronic music and great views of Gothenburg. Whatever the weather, the place is welcoming and you will be protected from the wind and rain. The bartenders are very passionate about their work and will be happy to make you exotic and original cocktails, adapted to each season. The ideal place for an aperitif while admiring the sunset and to meet the trendy population of the city. In addition, the place is really Gay friendly!

This club now housed in the same building as its big brother Trädgår'n is the meeting place for the cream of Gothenburg's party people and Beautiful People, as soon as the weather is fine. With its large terrace and its outside bar, one would think in a trendy club of Cannes or Saint-Trop', from where the name of the club. Inside, two large bars and a very large dance floor where the DJ (always excellent) is enthroned, await you. The decoration is directly inspired by the best dancefloors of Miami and Ibiza! But what a success! We loved it!

Why not spend an evening at the cinema when you visit Gothenburg? Biopalatset is the cinema par excellence, and you can see all the films of the moment there. It's a good opportunity to discover Swedish cinema, if you can find a screening with subtitles (usually in English), or to enjoy the English and French films that are on show. Usually, a seat number is indicated on your ticket, so you can't sit wherever you want, at the risk of really upsetting the usually quiet Swedes!

One of the best espressos in the city is served at Da Matteo. Coffee fans will be in heaven. The address located in the heart of the Viktoria passage is really nice. The decoration is very original, since the philosophy of the place is to arrange the interior by bringing the street inside the café! The idea is that the place is open, raw and alive, like the cafés in the markets of the past. A concept that has been very successful since there are now five Da Matteo's in the city of Gothenburg, and maybe others will open soon!

Sjöbaren Fish Seafood is a seafood restaurant located in Gothenburg. The restaurant offers on-site dining as well as take-away, but does not offer a delivery service. The restaurant also has another address in Gothenburg, on Lorensbergsgatan 14.

The bar where you can have a drink as well as party. Theme nights are organised at weekends. Beer lovers will be delighted, as there are 200 brands of beer available at the bar. The bar also organises quiz nights, usually in Swedish, which are well attended and make for a great atmosphere. Beer lovers, don't miss your chance to pay your respects to this institution! Built in the 1900's, Ölhallen 7: an is Sweden's oldest beer bar, really! At the beginning of the ^20th century, the square had 14 breweries and wine taverns and four liquor taverns. Traders would come here at the end of the day for a well-deserved break. The restored interior, with wooden walls, is original and will take you back in time. Be sure to try the house beers Ljusare än det ena and Mörkare ändet andra.

During the day, the Bar Centro is a café where they serve a very good espresso and soft focaccias. We stop there for a fika break with friends, a lunch break, or a late afternoon snack. But the Bar centro is also, as its name suggests, a bar, and as soon as the evening starts, you can enjoy good beers, quality wines, cheese and cold cuts plates, and many other very good things! So don't miss it, whatever the time of day, because even though it's a small place, it has a charm all of its own!

Formerly Unga Magasinet, this place was created by young motivated volunteers! An open stage with guitars at your disposal, role-playing or board game tournaments, coffee, baked goods (at affordable prices because the goal here is not to make a profit), a fully equipped craft workshop and exhibitions. Access is privileged for young people between 16 and 25 years old. The premises also include armchairs in a cosy corner, a cinema screen and a game corner! You can spend an afternoon drinking a coffee and reading a book...

For more than twenty years, Oceanen has sought to highlight and promote alternative cultures in all their forms. The specialized programming gives an important place to music, with concerts of independent artists from all over the world, but the place also proposes theater performances, film projections, readings... and always in an intimate atmosphere, close to the artists. Club nights are offered on some weekends, and in summer you can enjoy a drink on the beautiful terrace.

Built in 1852, Södra Teatern is one of the oldest theaters in Sweden still in operation. During the week, the program is eclectic, between concerts, debates and Swedish and international plays. But when the weekend comes, the place becomes a very popular meeting point for Stockholm's youth for its club with a breathtaking view of the capital. The atmosphere is rather trendy, the electronic music and the parties often queer. The club spreads over three floors of different sizes and ambiences.

Neither really inside nor outside, Kafé Magasinet is located in a remarkable place: the inner courtyard of a brick building, covered by a large glass roof. The floor is paved, shrubs and green plants proliferate, and the light bulbs coming down from the glass ceiling bring a little warmth when the sun goes down. It is one of the trendy places of Gothenburg, quickly taken over in the evening by the young people of the district who come to drink beers, but if one stops there during the day for a coffee, the atmosphere is more quiet.

The Af Chapman, a sumptuous 1990s sailing ship moored on Skeppsholmen Island, is a youth hostel, but it is also a bar and restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Royal Castle and the Old Town. It's quite small, so don't expect huge shows, but it's still a rather underground place in Stockholm, offering concerts of all kind of music. The prices are quite reasonable for Stockholm. This upscale chain offers freshly ground organic coffee, good salads, the famous Swedish kannelbullar , English scones, or refreshing smoothies. This is again a great fika address, where a good choice of different delicacies is offered. Located at the central station of Stockholm, Waynes is a perfect address to have a quick snack or to take away.

Take a fika break in the middle of Djugården during a day in Skansen! In this small traditional Swedish café, you will find seasonal treats and drinks. Rhubarb pie in the sunshine of the inner courtyard, blooming in spring, or inside lit with candles, protected from the snow, with a Viennese chocolate in winter... Between the many period coffee tables and chairs, velvet armchairs for those who wish to linger. You quickly feel at home here and it's hard to tear yourself away from this bubble. To accompany your drink, you will have the choice between several traditional pastries and some ice cream flavours. You can also have a light lunch.
