Renowned as a place where lawyers, policemen, politicians and journalists come to quench their thirst (their offices are not far away) the place offers a solid local cuisine. Opposite, on the left under the porch as you enter, is the Paragrafen bar, with its rather speciality: gull eggs.

It's located within the walls of the Bergen Børs Hotel, considered to be the city's most important neo-classical building. Its impressive vaults are adorned with frescoes painted by Axel Revold between 1921 and 1923, depicting the city's economic life. While the limited and basic content of the menu may come as a surprise given the location and prices, you'll be sure not to be disappointed by the quality of the cuisine. A culinary and perhaps above all visual experience.

A children's menu that will satisfy many with its sausage and chips!
BURGR
Read moreWant a good Burgr without pretension? This is the place. In this tiny restaurant, three large high tables, a terrace, and Mario. But before we make burgers there, you should know that between these walls, at the time when Tromsø had only 80 inhabitants, was built the first bistro of the city. Where fishermen used to come to trade a fish for a glass or two of wine.
