Bjørk Restaurant is located on the second floor of Glasshuset (Shopping Gallery). The place is trendy and fashionable with its bay windows. In the evening, the place is perfect for occasions, as well as for everyday meals. On the menu: pizzas, tapas, meats and the chef's recommendation: grilled cod served with peas and potatoes aioli. For dessert, we recommend the Bomboloni: a warm bread roll filled with lemon cream served with pistachio cream and pear compote. Both elegant and unpretentious.

We come here to have lunch with friends, to have a coffee, to study and also to have a drink in the evening. An address like there are still too few in the center of Oslo.

Three friends are behind this beautiful address that opened in 2012 in the fashionable but not too fashionable St. Hanshaugen district. A bit posh and old with its wooden houses and parks. And with good reason: next door to the Mathallen Food Hall, Døgnvill Bar & Burger serves some of the best burgers in the capital. The burgers are made from locally sourced meats, and the vegetables, like the delicious sauces, are also locally produced and cooked on site! Delicatessen has existed in Oslo since 1999, with a first address in Grünerlokka. After opening a second place in Majorstuen a few years later, it is in Aker Brygge, that he settled in 2013. The atmosphere is great and gives us the impression of a trip back in time. It is possible to eat here, as this bar offers the menu of the Asian restaurant next door, but also a selection of simple and well prepared snacks.

Located on the ground floor of the Thon Gyldenløve Hotel, this Mexican bar and restaurant, with its large veranda, is ideally located along the beautiful Majorstuen Avenue. The menu is as attractive as the front of the restaurant, with its colourful design At El Camino, burritos, tacos or bowls are all priced at NOK 33 per 100g! You can also order the already thought-out formulas, such as the vegetarian bowl, the tacos with breaded cod or a burrito with vegetables, corn and guacamole. A relaxed atmosphere for this small but very good restaurant!

Nice cafe restaurant with a large choice of beers, including local ones. The pint of lager from 7 euros, almost a record for Norway. Nice atmosphere, music not too loud and diverse. Friendly and reactive staff. A popular place for locals who can eat well for not too much money. In the evening for example, the Norwegian salmon dish with vegetables and small baked potatoes for 20 euros. Quite original too, the pizza with reindeer meat. All in all, a good option to eat out and have a drink without breaking the bank.

A typical Norwegian place, a wooden house painted in red with white window surrounds. Tables and chairs all over the garden, which has many trees and flowers. Just behind the Polar Museet, in Tromsø's historic district, café Bårstua has taken over an old wooden shack. People come to enjoy the local cuisine, but not only! And on the mildest and sunniest evenings, the Flamingo's tree-lined terrace awaits you right next door!

Run by two young figures from Tromsø, the Bardus bistro, adjacent to the Bardus bar, will introduce you to local specialities in an inventive way. Here, the atmosphere is bistronomic on the plate and relaxed at the table. The products are fresh, local and seasonal and the cuisine is influenced by southern Europe, which we assume is France. In a wooded setting, we are happy to settle down for a meal that will hang out. In the summer, if the sun is shining, we settle down on the veranda terrace to enjoy a bit of sweetness.

The alliance between Brazil and Norway is perfect. A retro and warm interior, designed by Øyvind, passionate about recycling antique furniture. And above all, in echoes of Marcos' Brazilian origins, the sun on the plates! Spices, sweet potatoes, orange or mango sauce... The art of inviting the tropics to mix with cold water products. To enjoy the view, stop off at the Bryggekanten brewery. From the heated terrace, as if suspended above the harbour, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the island of Nordlandet and its pretty, colourful houses. On the menu, which is fairly good quality, you'll find daily specials, burgers, fish & chips and pizza. The cod ceviche is particularly tasty. For a more refined experience, there's the restaurant upstairs!

Overlooking the bank of the first lake on the way to Varden is a pretty, cosy white cottage. Typically the place where young mothers meet to drink tea after a walk, a space is dedicated to children in the garden. Sheepskins cover the wooden benches, and you can sit down and enjoy one of the many coffees on the menu with a shrimp, salmon or ham sandwich... And why not the famous cinnamon roll for a sweet treat? A very pleasant address, where the sparrows almost come to sip your latte.

Nestled 5 minutes from the pier, in a pretty red house, Smia is THE good address in Kristiansund. In a warm setting, you can eat fresh and local food by the fire. Fish, of course, including the famous klippfisk, which can be found in every sauce! As a starter, the halibut filet with orange delights our taste buds. For dessert, the homemade cheesecake gives the final touch to this meal worthy of a semi-gastronomic. Please note that the kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing time. Reservation recommended.

With a bit of luck, the Mia will be at the dock when you pass by. It's not a restaurant, but a nice fishing boat that sells its shrimps fresh! You can buy your pound overboard before going to the harbour to eat it all as an aperitif, hopefully under a ray of sunshine! Don't forget to take a jar of mayonnaise from the local supermarket, a loaf of cereal bread, and depending on your mood, a bottle of chilled white wine. Happiness guaranteed!

It's hard to miss this beautiful two-storey address in the heart of Ålesund. The Bro has been tastefully refurbished and has everything you would expect from a typical Scandinavian cocoon interior: modern, clean and warm. On the plates, you'll find delicious (small) sandwiches and beautiful dishes based on local fish. The Klippfish, for example, comes from Dybvik. The colourful terrace by the water is the perfect place to enjoy a break in the sun. Live music is often organised at the weekend.

Just a few metres from the Akerselva River, the Tranen café-restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the bustling intersection of Alexsander Kielland Square. Inside, leather benches, draperies and wood panelling adorn the room. Tranen is run by two establishments, Åpent Bakeri and Lofthus samvirkelag, which makes it unique. If one brunches, drinks coffee, and eats sweets there most of the day, from 16h the place is transformed into a pizzeria and alcoholic drinks replace hot drinks!

An attractive café-restaurant in the town center. The interior is traditionally decorated, and the colors, furnishings and ambience are reminiscent of the old mining town. Prices reflect the touristy nature of this small town, but the service and cuisine are up to scratch.

Lorry is not only a good traditional Norwegian restaurant, it is also one of the oldest! This characterful place with its historic bric-a-brac atmosphere is a very popular place and in the summertime offers one of the most beautiful terraces! You are more than welcome to stop and try some of the 129 beers available. The prices are reasonable and the portions generous, a place that we recommend without hesitation. In addition to being one of the city's best known and most popular addresses, it is a place that is very representative of the atmosphere of the capital.

The Pit Stop Café and Restaurant, despite its American restaurant/drive-through look, offers a menu that includes traditional dishes, pizzas and burgers. The generous plates will satisfy big appetites. Ideal for a stopover for travelers in motorhomes or motorcyclists, the service is fast and friendly. All in all, a good roadside restaurant that will satisfy both a backpacker and a family audience. The plus : access to a terminal for electric cars !

Opened in 2010, this restaurant immediately attracted international attention. It serves Norwegian cuisine based on seasonal and organic products. The wines are paired with each dish with flair. The modern and bright decoration adds an appreciable cachet to the establishment. Very (very!) subdued atmosphere. The Michelin guide awarded it two stars in 2014 and a third in 2016. Maaemo is now considered the best restaurant in Oslo. An atypical and excellent place if you want and can do a gourmet restaurant.

A rather nice option and very popular with Norwegians. Lovolds is a native Bodø chain and you can eat there in a family canteen atmosphere. The big plus is the view of the harbour, the boats, the seagulls playing with the wind and the sun. You can choose from a selection of classic dishes, sandwiches and salads. Each day of the week a special is offered at a special price, for example Tuesday it is a shrimp wrap + coffee for 85 NOK. An address with many meat dishes.

This restaurant is located high above Molde, on Vardestua Hill overlooking the fjord, at the end of the panoramic road and next to Varden View Point, the end point for many hikers from Molde. With over 220 snow-capped peaks on the horizon, the scenery is fantastic. On the menu, traditional dishes: Kjötsúpa (lamb soup), Rømmegrøt (Norwegian porridge with whipped cream), Elsteik (Elk steak)... Terrace superb in fine weather.

The Lavvu restaurant belongs to the Igloo Hotel. The setting is neat, a mix of wood and modern lines. You'll taste reindeer, lamb, salmon, local berries picked in the area and many other Sami specialties. A fine address, for comfortable budgets, that lets you live the adventure of a change of scenery to the full. Rest assured, if some of the locals are made of ice, the restaurant is a real one! No need to put on your ski gear, and no risk of getting stuck to the cutlery!

This is the hotel's pub and restaurant. It is located in the basement, but is very popular with the locals. A taste: the Arctic Menu.

Close to the bridge, the large wooden building is surrounded by palm trees in Tromsø. In the small parts that make up this "student house", we eat pizzas in a friendly atmosphere.

This steakhouse pub cooks in the old vaulted cellars of a brewery dating from 1814. The cellars were once used to store barrels of beer and most people come here to order a good pint. The house that houses Oslo's oldest restaurant dates back to 1700, and it has celebrated 140 years of service! The old pink-tiled building has a great charm and great writers like Henrik Ibsen and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson used to go there. To the right of the entrance there is still a bar with antique furniture. Local cuisine with game and lutefisk. When the weather is nice, tables are set up on the terrace to stay in the shade of the big leafy trees that lean towards the humble façade while contemplating the most beautiful square in the capital.

This is another must-see place from the days when the city was called Kristiania.
