SPORVEJEN
Read moreToday's menu is homemade hamburger on a train! Spervejen invites you to take a seat on leather benches with country music in purring sound. Everywhere on the walls, retro pictures. You almost expect to feel the jerky roll of the locomotive and to hear its whistle like in old westerns. An original experience. Beware, as there are many greedy travellers, you may have to wait before boarding your wagon! But a drink on the terrace overlooking the charming square will fool your impatience...
PANAME CAFÉ
Read moreA beautiful red house with a green roof, windows that go all the way down to the ground, so you can enjoy a nice light! A shaded terrace. Benches and a seated figure smiling at you. A cosy atmosphere. Home-made sandwiches, pies and cakes made from organic and local products, beers from small independent breweries and a team that takes care of everything, that's the recipe of Café Paname. But the most of this establishment: the adjoining bookshop where you will find old books, wooden toys or decorative objects.
PENNY LANE CAFE
Read moreThis is one of the most cosy places: very "hygge". We will enjoy spending hours there enjoying a good little dish or coffee with its sweetness. The menu offers many possibilities: salty or sweet, cold or hot. This café is also a bakery/pastry shop, so you can leave with your bread or the cake you discovered there... Between the tables, sale of kitchen utensils, porcelains and decorative objects that only add to the charm of the place. The service is ultra smiling and friendly.
GRØD
Read moreThis trendy conceptual coffee has a speciality: porridge! It is made from oat flakes and organic products. And don't think the menu is poor. On the contrary, it shows great creativity. The menu adapts to seasonality. You'll be eating porridge, but a tasty porridge. The instigator of this original place is Lasse Andersen, who had the idea in 2011 to open the world's first porridge bar here in Nørrebro. His goal? To prove to everyone that oatmeal is good, healthy and cheap! The gamble paid off.
BITIN
Read moreA delightful setting: large bay windows light up the small room on the first floor where the soft green walls make the tasting moment so soothing! We come here to enjoy Scandinavian sandwiches: beautiful slices of black bread covered with vegetables, fish, tarama, fried eggs or shrimps. At snack time, the list of cafes and delicacies will cheer you up, because in Tórshavn, the clouds like to play hide and seek with the sun. So, push the door of Bitin. You will be very welcome!
MA POULE
Read moreMa Poule has quite a reputation! The address is very popular with locals, especially at lunchtime, who come here to feast on French and Mediterranean recipes. Édouard ensures the quality of the products he imports directly and sells from his stand in the Torvehallen covered market. These include cured meats and charcuterie, such as the famous pata negra, and cheeses such as the 36-month-old Marcel Petit Comté. His best-seller: the famous sandwich with duck confit, mustard and arugula, voted "best sandwich in Copenhagen".
HALIFAX
Read more12 years ago, Ulrich and Peter opened their first Halifax burger. Since then, 12 restaurants have opened across the country. The address is renowned for being a veritable burger workshop! You choose the bun, then the meat and finally the side dish to create a sandwich to your taste. Very good burgers, organic, vegan for the Berlin, hallal meat for the chicken. Not the cheapest in town, but the quality is there, the Danish producers are highlighted and they're served with a smile in a very jazzy atmosphere.
SANDWICH CAFEEN
Read moreAn address that does not deceive on its products on sale! Here, you will find only sandwiches.... or almost! Located in the Hugo's Gård district, in a former fish smokehouse, easy to recognize by its ochre facade, it is the place in town where you can eat the cheapest sandwiches, but also salads, and finish on a sweet note with a very greedy milkshake. Fresh products (the bread comes out of the oven every day! Rye and gluten free) and local products. About thirty proposals on the menu, enough to come back every day...
BAGUETTE SVENDBORG
Read moreSmall bakery where the sweet owner, Annette, chats with each of her customers. You will enjoy organic cakes and a nice selection of breads (with various flours) baked in a stone oven and kneaded by hand. You can eat delicious frisksmurt frokostobolle, a small sandwich of his creation (which it would be a shame not to try), on two charming tables overlooking the pedestrian street accompanied by chocolate bites named after the great Sarah Bernhardt! Tables outside in summer.
VANDKUNSTEN
Read morePerhaps the cheapest sandwiches in Copenhagen: in fact, there is a long queue in front of this small store close to Huset/Use-it. There is a choice of about twenty classic or vegetarian sandwiches prepared every day in a flash. The concept was born 20 years ago after a stay in Italy to feast on paninis. The two friends then thought: why not create fresh, good and homemade sandwiches in Denmark? A second address was born in Torvegade 29 in the district of Christiana, if you wanted to eat on the go!
HELGES OST
Read moreIn the most Parisian of the city's streets, this cheese and sausage shop seems to be run by a true Parisian! So what? Why not take advantage of its delicatessen and delicatessen departments for a short lunch break in all simplicity, but with plenty of goodies! In the shop window, you'll be enchanted by the beautiful variety of wholemeal breads. Sandwiches are prepared on the spot after you place your order. The Alm with cheese, pesto, salad and charcuterie is truly delicious! On Fridays, we offer a variation based on a large, well-stocked bowl!

BRONX
Read moreBronx offers an alternative to Danish cuisine with a varied menu of burgers, nachos and salads, to eat in or take away. Ideally located next to the city hall and Tivoli. The room is friendly with its wooden boxes with two, four or eight seats! Even if the fast food is not the best - it must be said that after several days at CPH, the palate becomes difficult and selective! -, the plates are more than generous. So, the quality-price ratio remains very good!
