This full-length restaurant is located near Thun Wua Laen Beach, about 20 km north of Chumphon. You can find a little bit of everything in this pirate's lair all made of wood, from Thai cuisine, but also several more or less successful western dishes with Italian, French or Scandinavian sauces. But we come here mainly for the atmosphere, which is always very nice. It's also a haven for local athletes. A good spot to enjoy the day at the beach if you arrive early in Chumphon. Located at the beginning of Rambuttri Alley, this small street food restaurant is probably the best place in the neighborhood. A few plastic tables are set up on the street, and you'll probably have to wait to get a seat as the place is a legitimate success. The menu offers a wide range of local specialties, from pad krapao to Chiang Mai khao soi to southern panaeng curry. It's very good, quite copious and all at very competitive prices, including beer. Fast and smiling service. Heart with fingers...

The Pepenero is located on the main road between the beaches of Mae Nam and Bophut. He is undoubtedly one of the best Italians on the island! The menu is limited, which is often a guarantee of quality, with traditional antipasti, homemade pasta, fish and beef dishes, and a very interesting choice of wines. The cuisine is fine and tasty. The place has a modern atmosphere, with the marriage of waxed concrete and wood. The walls are adorned with bottles that make you salivate. Warm welcome. Reservation recommended.

This small restaurant in a straw hut is located with its feet in the water and offers a magnificent view of the beach of Mae Nam. It's a beach bar with touches of color here and there. Excellent traditional Thai cuisine, fresh fruit juices and even massages! It is the occasion to taste the famous mango sticky rice, very good here, which is the favourite dessert of the Thai people. Good music but not too loud. A perfect place to spend a nice day at the beach...

As its name suggests, this café is close to the Sri Ban Phe landing stage. There are several dishes on the menu, including spaghetti bolognese, fish & chips and pad thai, but the speciality here is burgers, available in several recipes, as well as fresh juices, excellent coffee... And a few sweets for a snack. A selection of spirits, including a few wines and cold beers. The place is pleasant, modern and cosy. Prompt, pleasant service. A very good option for lunch or a gourmet break.

This is surely the most creative and original restaurant in the area! There are only a dozen tables, so reservations are recommended. The place has a unique decor, not necessarily to our taste, but the cuisine on offer is of a rare quality. Cafe 69 offers Thai dishes, revisited and modernized. Some would call it fusion cuisine. Dishes are presented with care, color and imagination. The menu changes regularly according to the chef's inspirations. Excellent cocktails are also available.

This Nora Buri Resort & Spa restaurant is a little gem. The beachside terrace offers a romantic setting, and your plate is equally well-stocked: sumptuous seafood, well-prepared meats, divine desserts... If you'd like to dine for two and enjoy some of the tastiest international cuisine, head for this fine restaurant on Rock Beach. The resort is also home to another restaurant: Rice Barge & Terrace, serving Thai specialties.

A French-style brasserie in Koh Tao! The Sairee Sairee offers a wide selection of steaks, fish and seafood, pizzas, homemade pasta and burgers. French and European aperitifs and digestives as well as a nice wine list (France, Italy, Chile, Australia), and cocktails that are not to be disliked either. The setting is modern and quite chic. The reception is generally very friendly and the service is prompt and efficient. A "Swiss Army Knife" place where the whole family will find happiness. Popular in Koh Tao!

This small restaurant has a cosy and very pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are made with excellent quality products, some of which are imported directly from Italy. À la carte, fresh pasta, ravioli, lasagne, risottos and calzones... And of course pizzas, probably the best on the island! For dessert, tiramisu is really delicious. The room is pleasant with wooden furniture. And the welcome is warm, a little hard to find, at the end of an alley, but it's worth looking!

This small establishment doesn't look like much, but it serves delicious food. It is a Thai restaurant located on the beach of Bang Po, specializing in seafood. It is frequented as much by tourists as by locals, which is a guarantee of quality. Wooden tables and chairs are placed on the sand, where you can sit in the shade in the open room. It's excellent and the rates are very low.

Chef Gao worked in some of the finest restaurants on the Côte d'Azur before settling in Bophut with his wife. Two types of cuisine are offered: Thai and French, Mediterranean and Provençal. Half-cooked tuna with exotic sauces, fish of the day, porcini ravioli, 7-hour-cooked lamb mice, also very good meat from Australia. Dessert was also top-notch, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream surrounded by a warm doughnut covered in strawberry coulis. A real treat!

Without a doubt the best option for dinner. The place has a modern architecture, with a large terrace and wooden furniture. It serves Isaan and local specialties. The food is authentic, so be careful with the chillies! The dishes are carefully prepared. The restaurant offers a wine list, which is rare enough to be highlighted. You can also sit at the counter of the small bar for a drink. It's a little more expensive than other establishments, but the prices are honest. To be discovered.

Korean specialty restaurant located in the dead end just in front of the Ayutthaya Grand Hotel, i.e. near the bus station. The setting is very pleasant and the map is well presented. The speciality of the place is the barbecue: you choose your meat and you can grill it directly on a plate in the center of the table. Each dish is served with an assortment of side dishes, including the famous kimchi, fermented cabbage. Be careful, Korean cuisine is as spicy as Thai. Charming welcome as if it were right!

It is by far the best restaurant in Kanchanaburi, overlooking the river, with a view of the famous bridge. Restaurant with modern architecture, offering a beautiful menu of Thai and international recipes. Correct, even excellent cuisine, with generous quantities. Bands perform live to enhance the dinner. The servers have a limited level of English but are attentive and smiling. And if you want to sing a song, rooms with karaoke are available. A good option to eat well as a couple, without ruining yourself.

A charming little café in a street parallel to the main road, at the Sak Suk Resort. The place looks more like an English tea room than a Thai restaurant! It offers all kinds of drinks but also tasty and well presented dishes, such as massaman curry or spaghetti pad thai. Save room for desserts as the house makes its own delicious ice cream. You can sit in the room or in the garden. Very pleasant bucolic atmosphere. Recommended.

The café-restaurant of this modern, elegant establishment is well worth a visit! It serves excellent Italian cuisine (salads, seafood, smoked salmon, meats...), as well as excellent desserts (panna cotta, cheesecake...), in a resolutely Mediterranean atmosphere. This small restaurant, facing Lake Chong Kham, is made of brick and wood. The decor is rustic but pleasant. The IDA is the place of predilection of the youth of Phimai. You can eat, drink and watch a concert. Rock atmosphere in this warehouse style room with brick walls where Harley exhaust pipes are hung. It has a high ceiling and two floors. On the menu: Thai specialties and some steaks. The most impressive thing is the beer list, with many local and international beers! Right in the center of town, this typically Chinese establishment is located on the second floor (above a large parking lot). It's a large room with a canteen atmosphere, but the quality of the dishes is quite good for the prices. Prices are in fact for dishes for 2 to 8 people: practical for group dinners. Communication with the waiters is a little difficult, as their level of English is very low, but the menu includes a few photos, which makes it easy to understand! A good address.

The popularity of this restaurant lies more in its setting than in its cuisine. Located facing the river, in a beautiful traditional wooden building, you can choose to sit on the floor around small tables or, more typically, sit on the sides with hanging legs (which gives the restaurant its name). Three atmospheres are offered: the air-conditioned dining room, the terrace and the garden. The menu includes Thai specialties, of course, as well as French dishes, Italian pastas, pizzas and burgers... And because this is Phuket, fish and seafood also feature prominently on the menu. The meats on offer are all halal. The quality is top-notch, and the service is friendly.

This little café near Wat Phra Sing may not look like much, but it's sure to make you feel good! Coriander in Redwood, Mae Sariang's first restaurant, is located in an old traditional teak house dating back almost a century. It is managed by the Riverhousehotel Group and is located on the banks of the Yuam River. It serves excellent Thai specialities and some very good Western dishes. The prices are low, including for beer. Undoubtedly the best place for a quality dinner, in a charming and full of character place, with a superb view of the river.

This cosy establishment, just across from the Kai Bae Market, is very charming. It is a restaurant, bistro and bar where it is very pleasant to spend time, to have a snack or a drink. Varied menu with carefully prepared dishes, both Thai and Western specialities (burgers, sandwiches, etc.). You can set up on the terrace, in the bar, or in the dining room. Billiards and screens with sports events broadcasted on the floor, which also has tables in the dining room or on the balcony. The bosses are charming and the staff is friendly and attentive.
