Pinto is a stilt restaurant located in an old traditional house in Lanta Old Town, with a large terrace offering a splendid view of the horizon. The menu offers perfectly executed Thai cuisine, the dishes are hearty and delicately presented. We recommend the Penang and Massaman curries, succulent. The welcome is smiling and the service attentive. If you are staying on the other side of the island, you will want to cross it every day to come and eat at Pinto! A great discovery.

Located in a house once owned by Chef Tam's grandmother, the complex has been converted into a space with three sections; Tepa Kitchen, Tepa Garden and the house itself. Baan Tepa's culinary experience is interactive. Guests are welcomed with a tour of the garden, then the team, led by chef Tam Chudaree Debhakam, offers a menu that changes with the seasons. Recipes are prepared with ingredients grown by small farming communities sharing a common philosophy for quality and the environment.

I fell in love with this original restaurant. It serves contemporary Thai and international cuisine with exquisite, colorful presentation. On the menu: beef massaman curry, duck paneng curry, stewed pork... The desserts are not to be outdone. Creative and unusual. The setting is modern and simple, but well-kept, with welcome wood panelling. An ethereal atmosphere and very courteous service. A superb initiative rewarded by loyal customers who come year after year. We warmly recommend it!

This place doesn't look like much and yet its reputation has gone beyond the borders of the Kingdom of Siam... This restaurant is specialized in fish and seafood. Crabs, lobsters, oysters, shrimps, fish, shellfish... The choice is vast! The whole declined in several recipes, all as delicious the ones as the others, to be accompanied by a small dry and fresh white wine or a beer (the establishment does not serve alcohol between 2 pm and 5 pm). Service can be a little slow, but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Want to change your mind? Visit El Barrio restaurant to taste some excellent Mexican specialities. On the menu: tacos, fajitas, burritos, guacamole but also ceviche, to be served with a fresh Desperado or a good bottle of wine. It is certainly a little expensive but the dishes are prepared with imported quality products. To whet your appetite, have a small tequila, with salt and lemon served on a miniature chair. We fell in love with this restaurant located in a new and modern building. It offers a rustic eastern cuisine, that is to say the traditional cuisine of the province of Trat but also that of Isaan. The dishes are carefully prepared and delicately scented. The formulas are served in a lunchbox and include several dishes. It's an opportunity to taste new flavours in a rather chic setting. A real pleasant surprise, both for the originality and quality of the cuisine and for the very low prices charged.

The Baan Mai is a restaurant with a singular architecture with a lot of woodwork, well located only a few meters from Kamala beach. It is run by a friendly Frenchman who will be able to advise you for your stay. Swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna, massages, soft music and Zen atmosphere for this restaurant which is built all in bamboo around a very friendly wooden bar as well. Thai and French cuisine (go for the prime rib with roquefort sauce!). It's a must-see place, especially for local francophones

Backed by an experienced kitchen brigade, he offers unique dishes nourished by his experiences in France and Italy, with influences from his Argentinian heritage. Product quality, meticulous presentation and subtle, varied flavors. The setting is absolutely sumptuous and the service impeccable. A spellbinding culinary experience. Reservations essential.

The Kitchen is one of the best known restaurants in Chaweng, having opened in 2007 and now has over a dozen restaurants in Samui, Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. The restaurant overlooks the main street and is an ideal place to quench your thirst and eat. The food here is very good but it is difficult to choose because of the wide range of dishes on offer. Thai or international, you will not be disappointed (the menu is available on the website).

The Celtic, a little difficult to find, offers Thai, French and Italian specialties, the menu offers an incredible variety of dishes. For more than a dozen years now in Thailand, Bertrand, an expatriate from Brittany, has always been in a good mood in his restaurant. It is not uncommon for the boss and chef to come to the guests' table to make sure that the meal is going well. Very friendly welcome. The dining room exudes a friendly atmosphere. Unpretentious restaurant, whose very ordinary setting is more like a canteen, but which has grown in size as its reputation has grown. A single-storey building in the immediate vicinity of the Hadthong Hotel, with a large, pleasant terrace overlooking the waterfront. The establishment offers decent seafood and fish specialties at affordable prices, though more expensive than its neighbors. The food on offer is of uneven quality, with Thai dishes to be preferred. Service is decent. The location along the promenade is its main quality, and in the evening the atmosphere is pleasant for a drink, while listening to local musicians.

When you arrive by the port of Mae Haad, one of the first restaurants you see is Café Del Sol, run by Robert for the past twenty years. The cuisine is exclusively French and European: steak tartare, flank steak with shallots, pizzas, grilled meat and fish... Almost everything is home-made! The place, open on the street, is very pleasant. The tables are spaced out. You can also come for a good breakfast. The service is impeccable.

The restaurant of the Resort of the same name probably has one of the best locations in the city centre: on the river, with a nice view on the wooden bridge. The large terrace has a bucolic atmosphere where it is pleasant to stroll. The cuisine is all in all classic, with Thai dishes, burgers, salads, fresh fruit shakes... It's quite successful and the prices are very honest. You can also come here to enjoy a cold beer.

This long restaurant is located on the main road in the city centre. On the menu: Thai food of course, but also grills, pizzas, pasta, burgers... The place, popular, is mainly frequented by families of foreign tourists. The dishes are logically "westernized", therefore less spicy, and the menu is varied to meet all the demands, including those of these dear children. Very good value for money.

This hotel restaurant is in keeping with the establishment, extremely cosy and warm, with wooden furniture. The menu offers Thai and Burmese dishes, as well as excellent fish and seafood specialties. Myanmar dishes are a great discovery, especially since no other restaurant on the island offers them. The menu changes regularly, and the establishment is open to all! The cocktail menu is also of high quality. ODT is a good choice for a dinner party even if it's a bit expensive, but you should also think about having fun!

This outward-looking restaurant attracts both passing tourists and locals. Bee Bee is on the stove and prepares both traditional Thai cuisine and excellent thin pastry pizzas (on Fridays). Her husband's in the gym. The dishes are hearty and tasty, and adapted to European palates. On the other hand, the service can sometimes be a little long or even totally nonchalant if the bosses are absent. The Bee Bee is still the best place in Ban Phe to spend a good evening with friends

This little restaurant doesn't look like much, wedged between two buildings, but it's well located with its shaded terrace overlooking the river. The cuisine on offer is inspired by Peranakane, i.e. inherited from the first Chinese migrants to Thailand. It's good, indeed, but the prices are a little overpriced to take advantage of the foreign clientele. It's an opportunity to sample the region's fish and seafood, especially the excellent freshwater prawns. A good address for lunch.

Established in Sukhothia many years ago, this discreet restaurant is one of Sukhothai's best tables for tourists. In fact, the dishes are adapted to Western palates, and will only be spiced up at your request. There are also a few Western recipes (steak and French fries), as well as some very good sandwiches. The reputation of the breakfasts is well established, and the menu subtly blends local flavors with Western influences. An amusing detail: the walls are covered with words left by travelers... Located just opposite Wat Ratchaburana, Malakor is one of the most pleasant places in the city. This large wooden structure houses a café-restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and terrace and a small air-conditioned room on the ground floor dedicated to the coffee section. Excellent Thai cuisine, fine and flavoured. The dishes, both classic and original, are delicately presented. Efficient and friendly service. A recommended place for lunch or dinner, but it is likely that once you try it you will want to go back!

Located in the Jungceylon shopping centre, this restaurant is decorated like a Parisian bistro with a leather bench and a small table, with a Thai touch (photos, paintings, half tuk tuk...). You can also eat at the counter, sitting on stools. The menu is divided between Thai specialities and Western recipes. The dishes are generous, very tasty, and the atmosphere is always very friendly. A good option to eat during your shopping session, or to start your evening. Good alcohol list.

Good chic Italian restaurant located south of the Night Bazaar, at the level where Pracha Samphan Street branches off towards Chang Klan Avenue. Very correct welcome. Giorgio, a very discreet Venetian, offers a wide choice of specialities from his country and prepares his own pasta. Pizzas and other Italian specialities are of course on the menu. As for drinks, there are some Italian wines, Thai beers and the must-have Grappa, Limoncello and Amaretto.

Very pleasant bar-restaurant installed on a corner of the beach, with a very friendly atmosphere. The rustic decoration has a lot of charm. Excellent Thai specialties served with feet in the sand and eyes in the water. Wooden tables and chairs, delicate presentation of the dishes and a smiling team. Get ready to have a good time, because they also serve good cocktails, it will be hard to leave! Warmly recommended.

An excellent place for those wishing to sample traditional Lanna cuisine, prepared to the highest standards. Very popular with locals, this typical, unpretentious restaurant offers a range of specialties: grilled pork, offal, beef, stuffed chicken, lanna sausages, soups, curries, various nam prik, several recipes for papaya salads (som tam)... The menu is exhaustive, and here dishes are shared between guests, Thai-style! The portions are generous and the flavours authentic. A recommended address.

Finally a small traditional Thai restaurant in Pai! Located at a corner of Walking Street, this local colourful establishment offers dishes at very competitive prices! The classics of Siamese cuisine are present on the menu, from Khao Soi to Pad Thai. The service is nice, you can choose to sit in the open room or in another air-conditioned one. The only drawback is that the portions are a bit small. In the evening, the restaurant is a bit hidden by the Night Market stalls but a raised sign indicates its location. A good plan for the city.

Restaurant located in the southern area of Pattaya, beyond the «hot district» (pedestrian area), right next to the French-speaking Area. The place is rather quiet. The location manager, Jacky, offers different options at reasonable prices. Grills and pizzas.

Right in the city centre, on the left bank of the Phetchaburi River and just next to the Chom Klao bridge, this nice little wooden restaurant with its old-fashioned decoration exudes a certain charm: background music, photos of singers hanging on the walls and a view of the river. Thai specialties at low prices. The proposed rooms have shared bathrooms and look like small cells! For (very) tight budgets only.

Much the same as its neighbors: very fresh seafood, preferably grilled. If there's more than one of you, it's best to order several dishes so you can build up a range of grilled fish and seafood. Dishes requiring more skill are rarely successful.
