BONJOUR BAKERY

Bakery
4.1/5
25 reviews
Open - from 07h00 to 20h00

Welcome to the boss of the galette des rois! Eric Buffenoir, two times winner of the Florida contest, offers homemade pastries and viennoiserie with the same taste as in France... Baguettes, strawberries, chocolate parfaits, the window is huge. We tried the pesto sandwich, it is incredible. It also serves breakfasts with scrambled eggs, poached eggs, eggs Benedict and, in Latin version, with a hot sauce. Not to mention, in the evening, lamb mouse with honey and rosemary or fish ballotins... A treat!

RENDEZ VOUS FRENCH BAKERY

Bakery
3.8/5
25 reviews
Open - from 07h30 to 15h00

We are surprised to find in the depths of Florida an artisan baker-pastry chef with a Provencal accent, straight from his village near Béziers. Joël Garcia, 20 years of baking, arrived in Sarasota in 2015 with his wife. You won't find donuts or cheesecake here, but baguettes, croissants, Saint-Honoré and Paris-Brest, all homemade, which are renowned throughout the region. On the savory side, there are also delicious bacon, cheese and spinach omelets.

LEVAIN BAKERY

Bakery

New Yorkers are ready to queue for a long time to get this cookie stamped best cookie in the city by a large number of foodies. Fortunately, this address is not the most popular (it is the original shop opened in 1995, which is on the Upper West Side), but in any case, the wait seems ridiculous when you finally bite into the precious sesame: melting and crispy at the same time, there is little chance that you have ever eaten a better one. Whatever your choice, you will be won over.

In addition to the bread you can buy at retail, you can have lunch, the cuisine is simple and made of sandwiches and salads. Don't miss cookies and sweet cakes, they're great. The particularity of the place is that Chef Dave makes his own flour at the back of the restaurant.

TARTINE BAKERY

Bakery

Tartine Bakery perfectly embodies the San Franciscan lifestyle. The pastries and viennoiseries are made in the purest tradition and with the best ingredients, but by tattooed and pierced bakers, punctuating each sentence with a dude. And if a smell of sweet France hovers in the street, it is to fly over a colorful crowd of families, hipsters and other Mexican grandmothers who have come to brunch French style. We want everything here, and everything is good, so leave dieting aside and succumb to the temptation.

FLOUR BAKERY

Bakery
4/5
1 review

A relaxed café-bakery, which offers a wide variety of pastries (éclairs, chocolate mousse, gooseberry pies but also American specialties such as the excellent banana bread), sandwiches and salads. The menu changes according to the seasons and the mood of the chef. One of the strong points of the place are its croissants and pain au chocolat, which are much better than in most American cafés. Flour Bakery is located next to the Boston Children's Museum, but there are several addresses in Boston.

A cute little French bakery aptly named, it opened in 2013 in San Francisco. The owner, wishing to recreate the bakery of his childhood in Arpajon, offers quality pastries and gourmet food as well as simple and traditional French dishes like quiche, croque-monsieur, croque-madame, pain au chocolat... It's a real little piece of France in San Francisco and one of the best brunches in town. Absolutely delicious, don't hesitate to treat yourself!

La Bicyclette Bakery

Bakery

A real bakery as it exists (almost) only in France. Just look at the opening hours, quite unusual in the city that never sleeps: after 1pm, don't expect to offer yourself a good chocolate croissant or the best baguette in New York (and we weigh our words), you'll have to wait until the next day. Everything is fresh and home-made, and the coffee is excellent too. The owner, a Frenchman, is a globe-trotting baker who made his debut in France before leaving for the four corners of the world to make the country shine.

MAE'S PLACE

Bakery

This is an American specialty that these restaurants have for breakfast or dinner. Mae will serve you only the traditional: eggs as you like them (omelette, fried, fried, fried, Bénédicte or sandwich...), pancakes, French toast, waffles (Belgian waffle). A little later in the morning, the more invigorating dishes arrive in force: burgers and sandwiches as thick as the phone book. Cheap and efficient. The locals know the place and often meet there for the weekend brunch.

LA COLOMBE

Bakery

With its warm atmosphere and bright setting, this coffee shop is the perfect place for a coffee break when visiting the neighborhood. Many New York University students work here, which gives the place a studious and peaceful atmosphere. We like the wooded decoration and the large bay windows which allow us to indulge in the art of people-watching, that is to say to observe the passers-by while quietly sipping a frothy latte. You can nibble good breads and pastries on the spot.

LA BOULANGERIE

Bakery

Frenchman and chef Dominique Rizzo opened this bakery in 2000. Enjoying a fine reputation, it nevertheless went through some difficult times when it reopened at the end of 2015, after a period of inactivity due to renovation. That's when renowned chef Donald Link, himself a customer of the establishment, stepped in, buying out the business and putting pastry chef Maggie Scales behind the stoves. You can find good crispy baguette, pastries, salads and sandwiches, etc. A must try!

LA BOULANGERIE

Bakery

The French chef Vincent Colombet runs this bakery which sells all the sweets we know well: baguettes, croissants, chocolate breads... You can eat on the spot but the place is quickly crowded, it is better to opt for a delicious pancake - a speciality of the house - to eat while strolling. If you are lucky, you can also meet the food truck of the bakery that walks the streets of Chicago. It is better to visit the establishment's site to find out where the truck is going.

BELWOOD BAKERY CAFE

Bakery €€

This family-run bakery is usually packed with children and teenagers from the two neighboring schools. A sort of nerve center for the Brentwood community, it's a great place to grab a coffee, indulge in a sweet treat, or grab a sandwich or quiche for lunch. In addition to pastries, Belwood Bakery Cafe specializes in muffins - in original flavors such as pumpkin, cappuccino, lemon and low-fat corn - and revisited macaroons - lavender, red velvet, tiramisu and Nutella, among others.

Brick & Bell Cafe

Bakery

This pretty brick house, which stands out from the surrounding buildings, is a La Jolla institution. Its specialty: scones, the original Scottish bread rolls that are almost as popular in North America as they are in the UK. Usually prepared "plain", Brick & Bell Cafe successfully revisits them with chocolate chips, maple syrup with walnuts or pumpkin. Also on the menu: paninis, as well as an interesting selection of breakfasts, coffees and desserts.
