Tartine Bakery perfectly embodies the San Franciscan lifestyle. The pastries and viennoiseries are made in the purest tradition and with the best ingredients, but by tattooed and pierced bakers, punctuating each sentence with a dude. And if a smell of sweet France hovers in the street, it is to fly over a colorful crowd of families, hipsters and other Mexican grandmothers who have come to brunch French style.
