On July 16, a huge popular festival is held in the Piazza Mercato, near the Carmine church. Pilgrims gather to pray to the Madonna and sing her praises with fireworks.

For a week around September 8, this festival pays tribute to the Virgin and to Neapolitan song. A whole program of musical festivities takes place in the church of Piedigrotta in Mergellina. It's a very important festival for Neapolitans, who devote a veritable cult to song.

Gourmets cannot miss this famous celebration in honour of Colonnata's bacon. Every year, on the third Sunday of September, the festivities begin with a historical costume parade with more than 1,200 figures that winds through the streets of the old town and a flea market that precedes a wild horse race in Piazza Alfieri in Asti, the central square of the city.

?? A traditional and popular event, authentic and good child. Each year, the festival of Forlimpopoli (province of Forlì and Segavecchia) extends over several days during the period of Lent. A merry and colourful carnival where musicians, street artists, giants and costumed… you make lo spettacolo! But the star puppet symbolizes the Segavecchia: that is, an ugly old woman.
