The restaurant at the Riviera Hotel. This restaurant has written the most beautiful pages of Sardinian gastronomy with its famous lobster and other dishes of regional culture. For fish lovers the choice is great: absolute freshness! With a large bay overlooking the sea, the atmosphere is summer. Attentive service.

The history of this osteria is worthy of a fairy tale for restaurateur. At the beginning, there are three sisters, Giovanna, Adelina and Nannina, who have the idea to create a little inn by the sea. At the time, Positano was only a small fishing village and the dishes were designed to sailors. Then the explosion of tourism, it became a gold mine. Today it is the young Luigi, the grandson of Giovanna, local star, which holds the cash desk, to the shelter behind its sunglasses. Of course, it is a beach, but remember his grandmother who was the guest to leave satisfied. The pizzas are generally quite decent and generous. The same applies to the rest of the dishes with a wide selection of wines from Campania.

It is simple, when we visited, the tavern displayed always full. The setting and the quality of the dishes naturally cropped of Naples since its opening. Regulars and tourists are on the same wavelength. The cuisine from Campania was excellent colour-bearer. A musician comes to push the song with the piano almost every night. Almost mandatory reservation.

A pizzeria-restaurant with a very Neapolitan ambiance. As its name indicates, it serves dishes based on mussels (cozze) but also some pizzas (15 varieties). The bright and colourful garden makes the atmosphere pleasant and Mediterranean. Among the dishes, try a'cozziata, a rich plateau of mussels and other specialties of the sea, and, as cheese, the famous mozzarella mozzarella, speciality Neapolitan speciality.

To take a pot or eat a small trattoria, this cafe, just a few metres from the Coliseum down via Cavour, is nice. We'll take for example lasagna, salmon penne or one of the many kinds of pizzas.

This multicultural and friendly place to live is a haven of peace in the bustling Ballaro district. Coworking area, solidarity restaurant at reasonable prices: Moltivolti wants to create social links since 2014. Here all walks of life come together for a meal, a drink, an exhibition or a conference. Moltivolti is a place of diversity and integration, and employs refugees, some from Afghanistan, others from West Africa. The restaurant and bar are used to finance projects. Another Moltivolti is now in Kalsa.

You won't soon forget this restaurant, open since 1910, a real institution with a beautiful terrace. The specialities: black risotto with squid, octopus salad with orange and fennel, maccaruna alla Filippino and sesame biscuits dipped in malvasia. But most of all, the fish is fried, grilled or in a sauce, delicately carved before being served. The Bernardi brothers also produce Italian wines and liqueurs such as the famous rosolio, the Moscato grappa and the Lipari malvasia: let yourself be tempted.

Without a doubt, our favourite in Nuoro. Shop and restaurant at the same time, you can come there at any time, either for a shopping session or for a delicious meal. The large terrace on the square is very pleasant in the evening. In the warmer hours, the elegant black and white air-conditioned room is a must. Here you can sit under large hop garlands and enjoy a typically Italian cuisine with a lot of creativity. Ravioli with squid ink, pasta with mussels and shrimps, half-cooked red tuna... It's beautiful and good at the same time. We love it!

This is THE restaurant in Porto Torres, the one everyone in town knows and has tried at least once. Set back from the street, well hidden behind a hedge of trees, it's located just opposite the San Gavino basilica. On the menu, good pizzas in a friendly, chic atmosphere, with pretty white tablecloths covering the tables. The seafood pizza topped with mussels and the Neapolitan pizza are a treat. This is authentic, popular and fresh seafood cuisine: it's worth the detour and the prices are low.

Let's get the suspense out of the way right away: Gianluca is a couturier of taste buds, and an evening at Liberty is a fabulous gastronomic voyage. He's equally at home with seafood and mountain produce: the octopus is to die for, and the meats are perfectly cooked. The finesse of the dishes reflects the setting - Liberty means Art Nouveau - and the staff. The wines are delicious, and you'll be advised by a real sommelier. Everything is beautiful and elegant! We spent a wonderful evening in a truly atypical and enchanting place.

Gianni Giagoni has succumbed to the charm of the small square in the village of San Pantaleo to set down his pots and pans. Intimate and discreet, the restaurant occupies one of these typical houses of stone and canal tiles. Pots of fragrant herbs decorate the white tables. The glasses sparkle with the flame of candles or the sun. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxed. The cuisine is based on the freshness and authenticity of the ingredients. The fresh pasta is prepared by Mamma Natalina who knows all the secrets. You're sure to fall in love with it.

The restaurant is located on the beautiful promenade of Porto Maurizio and is one of the best addresses in Liguria. The room has high ceilings and a patio that is very popular in the summer months. The setting is contemporary, very comfortable, beautiful without being luxurious or ostentatious. The service is professional and the cuisine is its equal: red mullet with panisses, warm asparagus, black tagliolini with novellame and preserved lemons, passion fruit yoghurt and pinacolada cream make up the menu. Not to be missed!

As the years go by, Montebuoni remains THE sure bet in the Florence area. Former chef in France, Emilio renews his menu to present the best of Tuscany. Concerned about the quality of the products, he himself buys them and designs all the plates. The house is untreatable on freshness. A dish of pappardelle, Tuscan pasta, to start with. Then ask for snails, tuna or the excellent nirvetti (knee nerve) lying on toast. Moreover, on the markets of Florence, Emilio's recipe is sold.

In this restaurant, you can only treat yourself! The chef Daniele Caldarulo, and Emilio at the service, always with a smile on his face, will know how to pamper you to give the best of their cuisine. Excellent pizzas, like the whole menu. On the menu, tartars, risottos and pasta with a thousand flavours, fish with unimaginable recipes... The ricotta cake with its caramel cream is a delight, as is the dark chocolate cake with its white chocolate flowing, excellent value for money and very good wines.

In the historical centre, a welcoming and nicely decorated restaurant, adept of slow food. Organic cuisine, locavore (locally sourced), which ensures the quality of each product for high quality (but expensive) dishes. Divine crudo platter (raw fish), sublime antipasti plates. The steamed fish en papillote of leaves with herbs, capers, pine nuts and dried tomatoes was surprising and delicate, accompanied by a good glass of local grillo, the beautiful alliance! The menu included gluten-free specialities and vegetarian pasta.

This restaurant is a little out of the way. It's worth a detour. Specialising in fish and more particularly tuna, the chef offers a wide selection of dishes. Tartar, carpaccio, raw or cooked fish, always fresh and all caught in nearby waters, sea urchins and other delicious shellfish... The menu is constantly evolving. We are particularly fond of tagliata di tonno, linguine with sea urchins, breaded and lemon-breaded gurnard fillets. A guaranteed freshness, a very pleasant service and a modest but very careful and fair selection of wines. A good address.

Ideally situated on the heights of the historic heart of beautiful Tropea, a stone's throw from the superb duomo, and with a panorama to savour: the port and the mountains in the background. The service and cuisine are impeccable, with excellent value for money for a host of Mediterranean dishes. Good fried anchovies and seafood, to be accompanied by a fresh white wine. Grilled fish with cuttlefish ink pasta, tuna with Tropea red onions and pizzas, you will be delighted. An idyllic setting with a shady terrace.

At the entrance, a sign: "The greatest success in the kitchen is to fill your stomach with imagination": the tone is set! You could well enjoy the best meal of your trip here. Red carrots, ancient vegetables and other surprises are cooked with art and know-how. Vegetarian dishes, meats, desserts: everything is a delight. And for an extraordinary price-quality ratio. An address offering excellent value for money, located close to the Musée du Verre. The atmosphere here is warm and relaxed, with locals crowding the counter and chatting with the pizzaiolo. On the menu, you'll find excellent pizzas, made on site, well-stocked and very inexpensive, as well as meat and fish specialties like spaghetti with clams or fish soup. Smiling service. The large inner courtyard is very pleasant in summer, but reservations are essential.

Gastronomic restaurant run by four brothers who share the kitchen, the dining room and the wine cellar. Refined and creative, the cuisine offers a fine balance of flavours and textures: the finesse of the seafood is enhanced by the sweet acidity of a citrus fruit or the fruity bitterness of an olive oil, the delicate flesh of a fish is combined with a crispy crumble or a mousseline. Attentive service and homemade digestif served on the terrace overlooking the sea.

Restaurant Pitzock's chef, Oskar Messner, lovingly cooks the produce of the Val de Funes. He works closely with the region's small producers and breeders, some of whom belong to the Slow Food Presidio. One of the stars of the menu is lamb from the indigenous Villnösser Brillenschaf breed. Fresh pasta dishes, with the delicate flavors of garden herbs or the stronger flavors of Graukäse, the local cheese, are a delight. Ask for a table in the light wood-panelled back room, or on the terrace. A wonderful culinary discovery.

Close to the station, it's one of the city's top restaurants, with a terrace overlooking a pleasant little square, a cosy interior and a beautiful, sober neo-rustic decor. In the kitchen, the emphasis is on seafood, fish and shellfish. And since we don't use frozen foods, it's easy to accept the vagaries of the catch. The fish on your plate are caught between San Remo and Ventimiglia. A very popular restaurant in Ventimiglia these days. Refined atmosphere and quality cuisine at prices that are sometimes a little high.

Sulmona's gourmet restaurant is situated on a small square, away from the hustle and bustle of Corso Ovidio. In the plates at the appealing presentation, local flavours are in honor. The chef and owner Clemente Maiorano les the kitchens with passion and conveys the taste of the land with elegance. One of the hallmarks of the map is the pig fillet. The choice of wines from the region is pointed, the great Italian wines are also à la carte. An important address in Sulmona.

If you intend to dine in Margherita, it is better to be hungry. This family-run canteen fills up every night tables of regulars, who come here with friends or family every week. The refined and elegant setting, the discreet service, the beauty and balance of the dishes make Dal Corsaro the best restaurant on the island. Attention, the menu is for all the guests at the same table.

Opened for 6 months by a French, Elodie, this restaurant offers sophisticated, creative and revisited Venetian cuisine. It's a treat to dessert. We must recognize that Chief Andrea Iuliano is a young little genius. Your taste buds are not fooled by it. Enjoy the carpaccio tuna carpaccio, continue with grilled octopus with aubergines and rosemary, and finish with chocolate notes with chocolate notes. We have not yet recovered from these delicacies!

This trattoria pizzeria is unique because its terrace is the privileged observatory of Stromboli in the evening, especially now that its ascent is closed to the public. It is truly the closest and best place to see the activity of the crater of Stromboli. This is where you come to see the lava spouting in the dark while biting into your pizza. A good choice from the menu is the spaghetti with squid ink or the octopus salad. A free shuttle will pick you up if you book the restaurant, convenient.

The tables are set on the lawn, overlooking the illuminated bay at night. Palermo chef Nunzio Tomasello offers a wonderful platter of "crudi" and two daring menus: "Cala Luna", featuring seafood, and "La Rocca", with meats and the finest ingredients from Sicily. The typical Sicilian baccala a sfincione is revisited, the spaghetti a la "Norma 2.0" is accompanied by smoked eggplant, ricotta, almonds and sautéed tomatoes. To finish, the pistachio parfait is divine. Beautiful gastronomic table.

Situated on the square in the heart of Marina de Ragusa, this restaurant managed by the same family (Locanda Don Serafina has Ragusa Ibla) has celebrated its 60 years of existence in 2013. It serves a fisherman's kitchen based on fresh products, historical specialities such as fish soup, ménage (pasta) in swordfish, urchins pasta… The quality is there. The 1950 s decor adds to the charm of this establishment, which also rents small beach cabins in its surroundings. A safe address.

Trieste's historic harbour master's office has been beautifully restored and boasts a superb terrace, where a lounge bar-restaurant (Pier The Roof) has been installed. As soon as the sun comes out, it's a real pleasure to spend some time here, with a breathtaking view of the sea. At table, the dishes are refined. On the menu, fish carpaccio, shellfish (scallops, shrimp, prawns), fried calamari with sage sauce - a delight! Ditto for the pure, iodized plate of tempura, fresh seafood pasta or fish of the day with lacquered vegetables.

Dining by the pool or on the terrace, barbecuing in summer or sampling fresh fish dishes (seafood platters, crudités, grilled fish, fresh pasta, homemade focaccia...), the options here are many! The restaurant also offers interesting formulas with complete meals or dishes of the day with a glass of wine and dessert. In July and August, for weekends only, you can enjoy lunch with seafood sandwiches (e.g. with burrata and salted anchovies), salads or fried fish.

This pretty little blue and white restaurant, a 10-minute walk from the centre, has a veranda with a view of the Strombolito and serves tasty Sicilian dishes at reasonable prices. Especially since the service is nice. We liked the octopus salad with lemon, organic olive oil, garlic and parsley and the selection of organic cheeses from the island as antipasti, the spaghetti with seafood, and the steamed fish with cherry tomatoes, olive oil and white wine, which was juicy, hearty and tasty. A very good address held by a French-speaking chef.

This good address offers "market cuisine" in the heart of an authentic Sicilian market, that of Ballaro. All the more so as the district does not abound in good tables, too narrow and labyrinthine. Here, the products are fresher than nature, Sicilian, from the slow food circuit. But grandmothers' recipes have been modernized. Large choice of vegetarian, celiac, babies and children (games on site). Theosteria is also enoteca, between 15th century walls and columns, the setting is magnificent, and the range of wines is very wide.

A favourite for this typical restaurant that cannot be ignored. Daria, the boss is a wine specialist who ended up creating her own case to showcase her wines. The map lists regional specialities with particularly well chosen products. There is no need to specify that the wine is up to the task. A tip: book a place on the terrace (magnificent view of the Val d'Orcia) and specify when you book that you want a discovery menu with the wines. This formula has been tested several times with the same satisfaction each time.

Probably the prettiest restaurant and the most charming terrace in Ragusa Ibla. It serves family cuisine, with specialities of cavatelli (local pasta with pork sauce) and fresh homemade ravioli. Try the roasted local cheese, to be rolled on the floor, and the star of the house specialities: spaghetti alla rustica, with octopus, Sicilian tomatoes and basil. Remember to book if you want to taste this delicacy because the restaurant is often full at dinner time, especially at weekends!

If you have never eatenarancini, those fried rice balls filled with various typical Sicilian ingredients, this is the place to go. And even if you have already tasted them! Because these arancini don't have many competitors. So much so that the online shop ships them all over Europe. In the shop, you'll find them ready to munch on in the window: beef ragout, parmesan and tomato, cheese or pistachio, or ham and mozzarella, or aubergine or spinach and fennel... All tastes are allowed.

In the charming district of Sottoriva, on the banks of the Adige River, this rustic establishment offers local cuisine. Good local products, fresh fish and excellent pizzas prepared by the owners who are originally from Naples. Also on the menu are Venetian-style liver, risotto with amarone wine (seasoned to perfection) and creamy tiramisu. Pasta with lobster and seafood is also very popular. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the warm welcome you will receive in this beautiful restaurant.

An excellent and change of scenery address of the Spanish Quarters, with a joyful and noisy atmosphere, almost bordering on caricature. A must for the Neapolitan night, this restaurant offers great classics of Neapolitan popular cuisine. The dishes are cooked with seasonal products, the preparations are tasty and the service is very fast. Unforgettable moment: when Ciro, placed outside the restaurant, writes the reservations in his big book, everything is done in the street, a real open-air play!

You have to climb to the very top of the village to discover this Manarola address, opened in 2016. But it's worth it. The food is impeccable and the service is fast, just the thing for those who want to go hiking in the Cinque Terre afterwards. To try the cappun magru, remember to call in the morning to reserve a portion! And for those who don't know, it's a Genoese specialty: a sort of vegetable and fish terrine, topped with a parsley sauce. Delicious, and worth trying at least once!

FIAT, or Fate Infretta A Tavola (which could be translated as: hurry up and eat!). The tone is of course ironic and mocking in this osteria, symbol of the Lingotto district. Local workers and civil servants come here to have a bite to eat at noon, so the service is very quick. Nevertheless, the dishes remain very good and the prices more than correct. On the walls, photos, newspaper articles and old advertisements tell the story of the famous Italian car brand and the city of Turin associated with it.

More than a restaurant, this vineria is a real museum. First because it is possible to find every possible regional product imaginable, and second because the owner of the place, Romolo, displays his memories of his travels around the world. In a rustic atmosphere - the smell of the fireplace helping - you should try the Maremma soup, the charcoal meats and the various salamis. The house even offers homemade beer. As for wine, the local speciality, Morelino di Scansano, is a must. An excellent address.

This very chic restaurant, close to the sea, has a magnificent terrace under a secular pine tree in the summer. It is a gastronomic den where you can enjoy fresh fish and seafood dishes, but also sushi. The pizzas and homemade pastas are also worth a try! Good choice of perfectly selected Sicilian wines. Highly recommended by the locals, it is advisable to make a reservation as the address is popular.

One can only salivate at the approach of this sign which perfumes the street with the smell of salt products. Next to the grocery and wine shop, a restaurant room has been set up, where you can enjoy carefully selected cheese and charcuterie platters, accompanied by honeys, jams and wines from the region, a CollineSalernitane for example. The owner, who loves his region and its specialities, is available to explain each of his products in detail. The premises also host exhibitions. A must-see address in Salerno.
