Located in the heart of Calle Arenal, this address is especially appreciated for its ham. The ham, cut with a knife and vacuum-packed, is ready to be eaten on the spot as a sandwich or to take away. The best product in the shop is the Iberian ham, but you can also buy chorizo, sausages, meat, manchego cheese and other typical Spanish cheeses such as cabrales, Torta del Casar, Idiazába...

With its Swiss chalet frontage, this restaurant is impossible to miss. A single dining room with woodwork and warm lights, where the welcome is warm. The two chefs, in their impeccable white outfits, are busy in the kitchen, which can be seen through the large pass-through. A fondue specialist, they offer numerous variations such as Savoyard, Burgundian and Chinese fondues, raclettes, but also filet mignon with rösti, confit or duck breast. And for dessert, there is chocolate fondue. Quite original in Madrid!

Located just outside the Teatro Real (Opera House) and opposite the Royal Palace, you are truly in the heart of the emblematic monuments of the Spanish monarchy. Despite its chic, stuffy look, Gloria de Montera is a favorite with Madrid's trendy youth. As soon as it's time for dinner, people flock here to sample the excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Above all, prices are surprisingly reasonable for a rather elaborate menu (we really enjoyed the 4-cheese risotto with asparagus) and a well-stocked wine cellar. The place is always packed, but reservations are impossible, so bear with us. The lunch menu is an excellent value option.

This is the restaurant of the parador, from which you will be able to appreciate the beautiful views of the tropical garden through the large windows. The local cuisine will of course be in the spotlight, with toast ofalmogrote (goat cheese and chili paste), kid meat or palm syrup(guarapo) to accompany some dishes. Occasionally, you can also opt for black cherne, a species of fish with delicate flesh, particularly appreciated by Canarians, accompanied by its papas and mojos.

This restaurant owes its name to the work of gofio, a grain flour inherited from the guanches. Opened in March 2019, it welcomes its customers in a large room with bright walls and often fills up because word of mouth has worked well. This is justified because the portions are quite copious and the prices quite mini. The menu changes regularly, but you can be tempted by the soup of the day, with mushrooms and spinach, by the gambas al ajillo or the goat cheese, served with palm honey. Reservation recommended.

Operating since 1986, this Chalana (small boat) is the ideal place to take a break when exploring the surroundings of Playa de Santiago. You will find everything you can appreciate in a beach restaurant: hearty mixed salads, croquettes and ultra-fresh fish. All served very copiously. The menu is simple but the prices are correct. Whether you are seated, if possible on the terrace by reserving in advance, or enjoying a drink on a barrel, you will appreciate the view on the beach.

Since its opening in 1973, this restaurant has given pride of place to local products, especially from the sea. As a result, it is now one of the most famous places on the island for fish, whether for its freshness or its preparation. Their mythical dish is the limpet soup, a must-try, but you can also taste their tuna and their prawns with various mojos. The gourmets will also appreciate their chocolate mousse or their gofio mousse. The space is small, so reservations are highly recommended.
