Read moreMusher Juha-Pekka was one of the first to develop dog sledding in Lapland. He knows his 150 dogs by name, and trains them personally so that each one finds his place in the team. There are several safari options to choose from: from 1 hour to several days, in the middle of the forest and nature. For your information, the dogs cover around 12 km in 1 hour. A powerful and authentic excursion, far off the beaten tourist track. If you never want to leave this magical place, you can book a bed and breakfast.

Read moreOunasvaara is the hill of Rovaniemi. Transformed into a summer and winter sports park, this is where the locals gather to practice their favourite sport. In winter, there are a dozen accessible downhill ski slopes, a freeride area and a snow park. It is also possible to go sledding in a buoy on an 800 m long track and reach 50 km/h! For the amateurs, it is also possible to take advantage of 100 km of cross-country ski tracks. The rest of the year, there are many walking routes.

Read moreIt's Finland's biggest ski resort, with 43 green, blue, red and black runs, not to mention two snowparks. The longest run measures 2,500 m. At night, 15 slopes are floodlit and there are restaurants on the resort. All around, there are 230 km of cross-country ski trails, groomed every day, including 28 km of lit trails, 16 cabins and rest areas along the trails. Three stores to rent your equipment and pick up your ski passes: for families, for intermediate skiers and for pros (lift no. 6).
PALOHEINÄ GOLF
Read moreIso Ysi is the name of the 9-hole course offered to the visitors of this golf course which has a good reputation in Finland as well as in the neighboring countries. The objective of the proposed facilities is to contribute to the democratization of this sport and the objective is fully met! On the program: a course with water hazards and bunkers scattered all along the course. Without pretension, the club-house will propose you a selection of fast food. A pro shop on site will also allow you to acquire all the equipment necessary to play golf.
RUKA PARK
Read moreRuka Park is located in the ski resort of the same name. It is one of Finland's best known places for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. It has modified slopes throughout the season with the possibility of jumps, rails, mini-pipes... You will also find a MiniPark with small jumps and easier rails.
Ruka ski resort also has 34 ski slopes, 30 of which are lit and 26 with lifts. There is also a tobogganing area in summer and chair lifts.
MONT SAANA
Read moreIts unique shape is striking as soon as you reach Kilpisjärvi. This mountain has always been sacred to the Saami people, and its summit rises to 1,029 m. Once at the top, effort is rewarded. Magnificent views of the lake and mountain... and potentially of the northern lights. The ascent and descent take around 6 km, and are accessible to all. Be careful with small children, though, as it's a long way up. In terms of time, allow four hours, or even five if you want to take your time, from the Hiking Center.
JOMALALEDEN - CHEMIN DE RANDONNÉE

This forty-kilometer-long hiking trail passes through the Ramsholmen nature reserve and leads to the astonishing military site of the Russian Küngso battery, built in 1916 (with its observation tower and remarkable panorama). Be careful, you must be at least 7 years old and measure at least 1.20 m except for the first course, which is accessible to everyone. Then, several course colours as on the ski slopes, green, blue, red and black which give an indication of the difficulty of the tests. For the black course, for example, it must be at least 1.50 m long. We love it, we have fun and if we are in difficulty, we count on the help of the staff!
