Come and live your polar adventure! Different activities and levels of commitment are offered, from family stays to extreme raids. The plus : French-speaking guides. Primitif Aventure offers themed stays: special whale watching, special family, special ski-pulka, special boreal... Also offers accommodation for other activities in summer/fall, such as the hunt for the northern lights, or the summer version: the midnight sun. Under favourable conditions, the town has 180 km of cross-country ski trails. The best ones are in the central park (Keskuspuisto), as they are regularly maintained. The tourist office of the town can provide you with further information and maps of the circuits and routes set up. An opportunity to combine sport with a truly unusual visit to the city. We warmly recommend it if the weather permits!

Musher Juha-Pekka was one of the first to develop dog sledding in Lapland. He knows his 150 dogs by name, and trains them personally so that each one finds his place in the team. There are several safari options to choose from: from 1 hour to several days, in the middle of the forest and nature. For your information, the dogs cover around 12 km in 1 hour. A powerful and authentic excursion, far off the beaten tourist track. If you never want to leave this magical place, you can book a bed and breakfast.

Ounasvaara is the hill of Rovaniemi. Transformed into a summer and winter sports park, this is where the locals gather to practice their favourite sport. In winter, there are a dozen accessible downhill ski slopes, a freeride area and a snow park. It is also possible to go sledding in a buoy on an 800 m long track and reach 50 km/h! For the amateurs, it is also possible to take advantage of 100 km of cross-country ski tracks. The rest of the year, there are many walking routes.

It's Finland's biggest ski resort, with 43 green, blue, red and black runs, not to mention two snowparks. The longest run measures 2,500 m. At night, 15 slopes are floodlit and there are restaurants on the resort. All around, there are 230 km of cross-country ski trails, groomed every day, including 28 km of lit trails, 16 cabins and rest areas along the trails. Three stores to rent your equipment and pick up your ski passes: for families, for intermediate skiers and for pros (lift no. 6).

Iso Ysi is the name of the 9-hole course offered to the visitors of this golf course which has a good reputation in Finland as well as in the neighboring countries. The objective of the proposed facilities is to contribute to the democratization of this sport and the objective is fully met! On the program: a course with water hazards and bunkers scattered all along the course. Without pretension, the club-house will propose you a selection of fast food. A pro shop on site will also allow you to acquire all the equipment necessary to play golf.

Ruka Park is located in the ski resort of the same name. It is one of Finland's best known places for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. It has modified slopes throughout the season with the possibility of jumps, rails, mini-pipes... You will also find a MiniPark with small jumps and easier rails.

Ruka ski resort also has 34 ski slopes, 30 of which are lit and 26 with lifts. There is also a tobogganing area in summer and chair lifts.

Its unique shape is striking as soon as you reach Kilpisjärvi. This mountain has always been sacred to the Saami people, and its summit rises to 1,029 m. Once at the top, effort is rewarded. Magnificent views of the lake and mountain... and potentially of the northern lights. The ascent and descent take around 6 km, and are accessible to all. Be careful with small children, though, as it's a long way up. In terms of time, allow four hours, or even five if you want to take your time, from the Hiking Center.

If you're keen to hike through ever-changing scenery, between forests, stony hills and charming villages, why not try the Jomalaleden trail? This forty-kilometer-long hiking trail passes through the Ramsholmen nature reserve and leads to the astonishing military site of the Russian Küngso battery, built in 1916 (with its observation tower and remarkable panorama). Great fun!

Fifteen runs down the Sallan Pyhätunturit mountain (477 m), a snow park, and all around 160 km of cross-country ski trails, 43 of which are lit. Also a swimming pool on site. A family resort that offers fun for all types of people! Nothing to do with our resorts, but the landscapes and their splendid lights are there! A place to spend a nice holiday and the opportunity to enjoy Finland and its outdoor activities. In summer, there are many hiking trails to explore the forest and its views.

A miniature golf course that changes! We find ourselves in the dark, with fluorescent balls and obstacles, all in an atmosphere of a ghost train with skeletons dressed as cowboys... This is the attraction that is all the rage in Turku and has even dethroned the local bowling alley. It's true that this miniature golf course is a lot of fun! A concept straight from the United States. Ideal with friends, family with children or even on your own!

Nordic Safaris is a company that offers a wide variety of activities in and around the Tornio area. Depending on the season, the activities vary. In winter, as long as the snow is there, you can go dog sledding, snowshoeing, fatbike riding (which can be rented all year round), ice fishing... As soon as summer arrives and in autumn, you can go rafting in the rapids of the river, go kayaking, or why not fish and grill right afterwards. Good welcome, and activities for all budgets.

The Yllas-Ski resort is attached to the village of Akaslompolo. It is located on the northern slopes of Mount Yllas. The Sport Resort Yllas (Yllasjarvi) is linked to the Yllas Ski resort, giving skiers access to a total of 63 runs, stretching over 53 km, and 23 lifts. Ski passes are valid for both resorts. Other activities include snowshoeing, ski-cross, mountain biking, snowmobiling, horseback riding and saunas. Ideal for the whole family and all budgets.

Just 10 kilometres from Kemijärvi, head for Off-piste adventures, a riding centre that organises horseback rides all year round. Here, you can ride Finnish horses, which are protected by the European Union. You can also use the centre to improve your technique, thanks to the outdoor arenas for jumping. In winter, you can also take a ride on a reindeer-drawn sleigh, or simply discover the reindeer on the farm in summer.

A place where hikers like to meet, where they can find food and drink in the café-restaurant, where they can get their bearings (many maps and brochures) and where they can rent bicycles and ski equipment... Just next door, at 14145, you will find the Kilpisjärvi visitors' centre with information on the region, the possibility of reserving the national park huts and obtaining a fishing permit...

Every winter, an open-air skating rink is set up next to Central Station, between the National Theater and the Museum of Fine Arts. You can skate to music and drink hot chocolate. Young and old alike flock to the rink, where the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The rink is usually open from early December to late March, depending on the weather. Skating lessons are also available. Winter day" package including pool and sauna at Allas Sea Pool.

It's summer, it's hot and you feel like something more than just another cultural visit? With friends or family, Jukupark promises you relaxation, fun and good fatigue at the end of the day. We find ourselves with 2.5 hectares dedicated to leisure activities with dozens of slides, heated pools and saunas. Feel like having a little fun? Welcome to Flowpark! Fifteen adventure courses in the trees are waiting for you here! Be careful, you must be at least 7 years old and measure at least 1.20 m except for the first course, which is accessible to everyone. Then, several course colours as on the ski slopes, green, blue, red and black which give an indication of the difficulty of the tests. For the black course, for example, it must be at least 1.50 m long. We love it, we have fun and if we are in difficulty, we count on the help of the staff!

This adventure park is a very popular place for Turku families! In the summer, games serve as an amusement park with a mushroom shower, giant statues to climb, art workshops and plays. There is also a BMX track, the football stadium (with heated seats for those who are cold or wintery!) which hosted matches during the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, an ice skating track... In short, a sportsman's paradise!
