Here, North Asian cuisine is celebrated, a mix of dishes inspired by Japan, Korea and North China, with a contemporary twist. Same spirit and same price as Farang, for a delicious journey of the senses. The lunch menu changes weekly and is regularly updated on their website. There is also a tasting menu strongly and deliciously inspired by Japanese cuisine. A little expensive, but delicious. Nice wine list.

Located in the center of the Haltia nature park, the restaurant of the same name is a great place to enjoy healthy, local, Scandinavian cuisine! In a large room lined with wooden tables (and with a terrace from which the view is magnificent), you take your tray before helping yourself, as much as you like, to the buffet. Depending on the day, you'll find salmon, stew with gratins or potatoes. The desserts are not to be outdone, with an excellent homemade crumble. Perfect before hiking in the nearby national park!

In 1880, one of Turku's schools for girls was built here. The pupils deserted the classroom in 1997 and it is the customers who crowd together in tight rows upstairs. On the ground floor, there is a wine and beer bar, all produced by the house on site. Visible vats above the counter. The planispheres and paintings have not moved. The spelling lessons have just given way to the prices... Huge, original and always surprising setting, with a terrace for 500 people. The good plan : the lounas during the week.

On the outskirts of Rauma's historic centre, this restaurant offers both international and traditional Finnish cuisine. On the menu, among other things: pan-fried Baltic herring stuffed with scrambled eggs and served with forest mushrooms, or a salad of marinated salmon and smoked shoulder of mutton with horseradish sauce. At the level of the Kumlinge marina, stands this small red wooden hotel and its cottages. Pleasant hotel of good standing with a quiet restaurant with sea view and terrace. Its twelve bungalows each have a sea view with a path leading to the church of Saint Anne, a pure delight! And to complete the relaxation, you can also rent the sauna. Right in the centre of Pori, close to the market square, Café Anton is both a pub and a very comfortable restaurant. And who says pub, also says good selection of beers! In the evenings, the atmosphere is provided by good music. As for the restaurant, go and taste the very copious and cheap lunches; the lounas is really worth it (from Monday to Friday, at lunchtime). As for the staff, they are very nice and helpful. In short, a good place to come at 11am as well as late at night until closing time to party.

Located in an old stone house in Mariehamn, the Indigo Restaurant has been there since 2004. This restaurant is ideal for romantic dinners with a menu that favours quality products and does not forget to work on its wine list and other beverages. On the^1st floor, the cosy bar also serves a bistro menu. Roasted salmon and grilled swordfish are recommended. In the summer, you can sit on the pleasant terrace, take your time, enjoy and savour the meal. The reception and service are very friendly but it can be a bit long at times.

Dino's bar welcomes you in the center of Mariehamn, just a few steps from the seafront and Miramar Park, in a slightly secluded alleyway. In the old wooden house dating from the 1860s, you'll find a cosy restaurant and a rock bar with a cool , live rock atmosphere. In summer, you can take advantage of the popular terrace. Here you can enjoy hamburgers, fish pasta and other good-for-you recipes. The dishes are good and well-stocked. There's also a pool table and pinball machines, which appeal to children and the elderly alike!

Not to be confused with Kuu. If you want to find a simple and authentic cuisine like you would find in a Finnish grandmother's home, KuuKuu is the place for you. It is essential to try the perfectly prepared meatballs that are famous throughout Helsinki. Accompanied by an exquisite purée, they make an excellent meal for a small fee. You can also come here to enjoy a drink at the bar side and KuuKuu offers a sunny terrace in summer. It is recommended to book for weekends when the evenings become more lively.

Several levels in the establishment: restaurant (with more restricted hours, usually until 10pm), bar and nightclub open from Wednesday to Saturday. It is one of the must-see places in the Finnish capital and perhaps one of the trendiest places in Helsinki. Adapt your budget accordingly... On the restaurant side, there are a few salads, a few burgers including a vegetarian choice and dishes such as a salmon steak cooked Asian-style and accompanied by noddles. Delicious! In the popular Kallio district, Juttutupa is a simple, original restaurant, more than a hundred years old, with unbeatable prices, where you can also simply enjoy a beer while listening to jazz concerts. The pizzas are huge and excellent. Housed in a tall grey stone building called "Graniittilinna", this restaurant has the distinction of having welcomed the young wolves of the Russian Revolution in exile in Helsinki... Lenin had his table there, which can still be seen today, nicknamed "the table of the revolution"!

In summer, the indoor terrace is open to the delight of tourists.

At the foot of the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, on the quays of the Katajanokka peninsula, Nokka is today a must, one of the best tables in Helsinki. The brick and old warehouse atmosphere combines wonderfully with the quality of the food. On the menu, chanterelles as a starter, beetroot combined with garlic cream and blinis, crab or artichokes in dishes, before discovering reindeer meat or grilled fish... Finish with Finnish cheese or white chocolate cake... Delicious!

Located on the ^8th floor, it's the place to go for fine dining, architecture and a superb view of the city. Alvar Aalto designed the plans in 1937, and the lamps and chairs are original. Mannerheim also had his table here. That's all there is to it... Very classy and impeccable service. The menu includes a crab salad with velouté, or a salad of crudités with winter truffles and cheese... Before indulging in a risotto or one of the excellent meats on offer, always very well accompanied. Everything is perfect.

A Russian restaurant with a good reputation. Behind the heavy bronze door, the decor of several private rooms recreates the atmosphere of the Tsarist era, to the nostalgic sounds of the balalaika. For over 40 years, this Russian restaurant has been Helsinki's best-known, and has managed to preserve its tradition and special atmosphere. Saslik reveals many secrets of Russian history. A restaurant that has stood the test of time and found its place in the local culinary landscape, without suffering from contemporary trends.

It is the only panoramic restaurant in the city, located at the top of the tower, accessible after a somewhat sportive climb in a small park with large trees. Magnificent view of course... Certainly one of the best restaurants in the city, with an elegant and luminous setting and large bay windows. The dishes are as beautiful as they are good, and they are as good as the view that is offered to us... We're in for a treat! Note: you can go up the tower for free just to admire the view, even if you don't eat in the restaurant.

From the top of the tower (168 m), the panorama of the lakes and forests surrounding the city is exceptional. The cuisine is in keeping with the setting, with dishes that have a strong Nordic flavour, in keeping with Scandinavian culinary tradition. The reindeer (with fennel) literally melts in your mouth, as does the sweet trout starter. To be able to enjoy such a meal in such a setting is a rare experience, enhanced by service that's totally up to scratch. Reservations are highly recommended!

The Mango restaurant is located in the Holiday Club Hotel. It is friendly, lively and often full. The choice is vast and the dishes are good and hearty. Both for breakfast and lunch, there are gluten-free options for those who want. In the morning, the buffet is copious with a wide choice of sweet and savoury products. The lounas between noon and 2pm is also of good quality, good value for money. The staff is very friendly and welcoming but one can however regret the lack of personality of the place.

Majakka means "lighthouse" in Finnish, so you won't be surprised to find a maritime decoration in this restaurant specialized in fish. As in many Finnish restaurants, the menu offers a choice of low-lactose or lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan, more or less spicy, vegetarian dishes... For almost every type of diet in short! The food is good and served by a friendly and welcoming staff. The plus: the large terrace in summer overlooking Lake Saimaa and the port.

Decorated with some beautiful icons, the Trapesa restaurant offers a hearty country buffet lunch and dinner. The Slavic menu features Malossol pickles with smetana (fresh cream) and honey, a kind of sauerkraut, smoked salmon and game. The "Valamo tea table" includes pies filled with mushrooms, salmon or sauerkraut. Honey cake with varenya (jam) is delicious. The same varenya is used to sweeten tea (Russian style) - tea served with a superb samovar - also Russian style.

This lively restaurant is very popular with the Finnish youth: pub, live music, and terrace in summer. It's ideal for a simple meal with a wide choice of dishes on the menu: mussels as a starter, salsify and garlic soup, or snails before attacking the house burgers, and being tempted by the pannacotta or the brownie for dessert. It's good, the plates are well filled and make you want to eat! As for the atmosphere, the place is definitely very nice and relaxing. We gladly drink one more glass to enjoy the music!

Isä Camillo is one of the best restaurants in Kuopio, on the edge of the historic centre and not far from the sea. Inside, the decoration is not left to chance and it is a superb bar in varnished wood that dominates this restaurant arranged in small intimate corners. Decorated around wine and bottles, light wood elements, subdued lighting and impeccable service, this is what awaits you. As for the food, no disappointment: it's excellent. Good value for money.

A little away from the centre, welcome to one of the city's gourmet restaurants. Since 1982, traditional Finnish cuisine has been honoured here with a wide selection. Installed in old cellars, we eat in the basement under a vaulted ceiling. On the plate, a little change compared to other traditional restaurants since the reindeer has been dethroned by the sheep! We will note the excellent beef tournedos. The menu is adapted to the seasons. Nice wine list to accompany the dishes. Fast and very good service.

Opening in September 2023, this brand-new restaurant aims to be lively, epicurean, local and open to all. What does this mean in practice? First, with a warm welcome and expert service! Then, on the plate, with finely-cooked dishes that give pride of place to local produce and skilfully revisited recipes. Char, for example, is gently cooked and melts in the mouth: delicious! The menu is regularly updated, and the careful selection of wines adds a delicate touch to what looks like a flawless performance.

For those who love Asian food and in particular Thai food, this is one of the best restaurants in town! Lemon Grass is a small Thai restaurant with delicious and cheap dishes. It has a neighborhood restaurant atmosphere, which makes it a very popular place for locals and it's always busy. From the food to the service, everything is perfect and the quality/price ratio is very good. Be careful though, the restaurant is rather small, so think of coming early or making a reservation if you don't want to wait a bit.

Dishes from all over Southeast Asia revisited in a contemporary way by the team of renowned chef Tomi Björck (the equivalent of Finland's Cyril Lignac). The result is delicious for both the eyes and the taste buds. The setting is cosy and simple. The bill is a little steep, but the meal is up to the task! A truly astonishing, spicy and epicurean culinary experience, especially if you try the Dégustation menu, which offers a veritable voyage between sashimi, grilled shrimp and other absolutely marvelous curried squash!

A Danish sandwich shop in Helsinki, founded in the 1960s and still going strong today, is the story of Tanskalainen Voileipä. In this tiny stall (with two chairs, a cash register and a counter for placing orders), you'll be delighted by the twenty or so different offerings. (Danish) classics with remoulade, roast, shrimp: the choice is yours. And don't be fooled by the apparent simplicity of the dish: it's nourishing. Very nourishing. In short, an address to treasure!
