Decorated with some beautiful icons, the Trapesa restaurant offers a hearty country buffet lunch and dinner. The Slavic menu features Malossol pickles with smetana (fresh cream) and honey, a kind of sauerkraut, smoked salmon and game. The "Valamo tea table" includes pies filled with mushrooms, salmon or sauerkraut. Honey cake with varenya (jam) is delicious. The same varenya is used to sweeten tea (Russian style) - tea served with a superb samovar - also Russian style.
