THE CHAMBERS

British restaurant
5/5
1 review

The Chambers is one of the city's largest pubs, styled in much lighter tones than traditional pubs. With its contemporary decor and mezzanine, it's a really friendly place to enjoy burgers, pizzas, grills and salads. And it's always at the Chambers that the population is the most heterogeneous and changes throughout the day. Bands play regularly, and the island's young people come to dance the night away, often to the sound of a DJ or live band.

QUAYSIDE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

British restaurant €€
4.5/5

Located in the heart of Saint-Hélier, opposite the port in the Liberty Wharf complex, Quayside Bistro is a place for epicureans. We come here to eat well, but mostly for the view. If you're looking for a friendly setting, this is the place. The cuisine is of the highest quality and the presentation is meticulous. You can also enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail on the upstairs terrace. An address not to be missed, very lively especially on Sunday lunchtimes.

LE MOULIN DE LECQ

British restaurant
4/5
1 review

Here is an old mill transformed into a pub which proposes British cooking always copious with its meats in sauce and its soups and also - proximity of the sea obliges - of many seafood. The building is charming and warm (but we prefer the large terrace nevertheless). In winter, it's a fireplace, teas and good beers. And in summer, the beautiful terrace adjoins a magnificent little park for children to enjoy the good weather. An address to come to in large numbers, with family or friends.

LE HOCQ INN

British restaurant
4/5
1 review

Here is a small typical English pub, transformed into a very nice and pleasant restaurant, which benefits from a very beautiful view on the coast. It proposes a rather traditional kitchen. You can taste very good pizzas, sandwiches, but also a fish pie with lobster bisque sauce and pea and parmesan purée, an omelette garnie, linguine with Jersey crabs and shrimps sautéed in white wine... After a hearty meal, the beach and the thousands of rocks are waiting for you for a digestive stroll nearby

LA FRÉGATE CAFÉ

British restaurant

This café looks like an overturned boat... Impossible to miss it! This lath-covered building is isolated along the harbor. It serves excellent breakfasts (note that the café boasts the biggest scones on the island...), honest dishes during the day and a very nice menu of Thai specialties in the evening. But we will come there especially at the end of the day, at sunset time, to drink a glass of wine facing the Elizabeth Castle and the bay of Saint-Aubin. A magical moment in perspective.

Located in a quiet little street in Saint-Peter-Port, this really nice place offers hot chocolates as thick as you want, 100% natural smoothies to die for, good and not too expensive dishes (fish'n chips, seafood linguine, burger with local beef and bacon, croque-madame...) to nibble on the go at any time of the day, and in the evening welcomes young and old alike in a lounge atmosphere with a tempting cocktail list. VILLAGE EAST BISTRO BRASSERIE & BAR

Fusion restaurant and international cuisine €€
4/5
1 review

This small restaurant in the capital of Guernsey is a well-known address for the locals. Which, to be honest, is always a good sign. On the menu of this restaurant, which faces the port of Saint-Peter-Port, you'll find classic dishes that are always well prepared, from simple sandwiches to plates of shellfish, but also good dishes with Mediterranean, Italian and Portuguese influences. Because the chef, originally from the Madeira archipelago, likes to marry the flavors of his home with the products of Guernsey.

An institution in Guernsey! A café-brewery where there are always people, at noon or in the evening. It is indeed very well located and welcomes the workers of the capital from the lunch break. At lunchtime, a large choice of sandwiches, pastas, salads and a hearty dish of the day. In the afternoon, it is an ideal place to have a coffee or a cream tea, while tasting some home-made cakes. In the evening, you can sit down to a seafood platter or quality international cuisine in the restaurant, which has a chic setting.

MAI THAÏ

Thai restaurant €€

In the heart of Sainte-Anne, here is a very good Thai restaurant which proposes well prepared and especially very copious dishes. Excellent curries, a pad thaï to fall down and all the other great classics of the gastronomy of the Land of Smiles. It is in any case very original to eat Thai on this small island in the Channel. As an aperitif, you can also enjoy a good cocktail. Note that take-away is also possible (until 9:30 pm).

THE GRILL

Fusion restaurant and international cuisine €€€

This chic restaurant is very popular with islanders and is located on the first floor of The Royal Yacht Hotel. It offers sophisticated international cuisine, with Executive Chef Inaka Weerasinghe at the helm since 2021, who brings an Australasian flair to a menu that blends local products with more exotic ingredients. The wine list is very well stocked with labels from all over the world. In short, a very good cuisine in a very sophisticated setting. You can also go there for the very nice view on the marina and the central square.

SEAFISH CAFE

British restaurant

Located in Saint-Hélier's main square, this fish & chips offers hearty dishes in a very lively, modern decor, on the small terrace in the shopping mall or to take away to enjoy on a sunny day. Prices are fairly reasonable, and the dishes are quite good, prepared to order and always cooked to perfection. A good address for fish and chips, of course... but not the only one, as you can also choose from a number of excellent burgers. There's also another restaurant in the village of Saint-Aubin.

COBO BAY HOTEL

British restaurant €€

The Beach Restaurant at the Coco Bay Hotel is a very good, award-winning restaurant with a magnificent view of the sea. On the menu, traditional dishes are always well done: roasted salmon on pea puree and vermouth sauce, large steak and onion confit. Especially during the summer months, shellfish and seafood from the bay are passed directly from the fishermen to the menu of Lars Kloetzer, the restaurant's German-born chef. The restaurant also offers an excellent tea room. The service is always friendly.

MARAIS HALL PUB

British restaurant

In this friendly pub, people flock at mealtimes to enjoy the chef's gargantuan and tasty cuisine (we may be able to reheat something for you outside these times, but it's not certain). Fish, crabs and other seafood products feature prominently on the menu, but not only. You'll also find pasta, meat (the beef is delicious, by the way) and chicken. Everything is produced on site: another good reason (if you needed more) to choose this address.

CONSERVATORY RESTAURANT - BEST WESTERN MOORES CENTRAL HOTEL

British restaurant €€

If you don't know where to go when it's time to put your feet under the table, especially during the low season, here is a golden address. Here, you will find inexpensive and copious dishes, always refined, all to be tasted in a rather classy atmosphere, without being stuffy. On the menu, the ineffable local dishes, accompanied or not according to the season by the soup of the day. In the evening, the 3-course menu is an excellent option.

CHÂTEAU LA CHAIRE

In the Rozel valley, here is the very famous gastronomic restaurant of the eponymous hotel, chic and delicious. The service is as good as the place, including during the very popular afternoon tea time. THE FARM HOUSE

British restaurant €€

We love this authentic and pleasant address where you can eat hearty dishes after a day of walking. Among the main dishes, the meats are really good, the hamburgers very good and there are many sweet and sour side dishes. Even if it has recently changed its name, L'Auberge du Nord is one of the oldest establishments on the island which also has an adjoining pub. The reception is always attentive.

SAINT-MARY’S COUNTRY INN

British restaurant

In the heart of this charming, long village, here's a pub with a very friendly atmosphere, housed in a typical Jersey inn, and serving good local specialties. The dishes are obviously hearty (chicken cordon-bleu, burgers, pies), sometimes a little more elaborate (seafood with curry and coconut milk), and above all change with the seasons. In winter, the wood fire is a welcome addition. A great little "country" address, just the way we like it.
