ETOSHA KING NEHALE
Read moreEtosha King Nehale is located on the Andoni plains, 1 km from the King Nehale gate in Etosha National Park. The lodge is shaped like the head of a nguni cattle, with chalets surprisingly spread out to the north and south, from the central area like the horns of a bull. From the moment you enter the reception, curio store, boma and dining rooms, the oshiwambo ethos is intriguingly evident in the colors, fabrics, cutlery, chandelier, table engravings with punchy proverbs and other embellishments.
The cottages are spacious and elegantly decorated with a touch of oshiwambo cultural ornaments, and each has its own swimming pool, allowing guests to gaze at the boundless horizons of the Andoni plains - ideal for a king and queen. The 40-room lodge pays tribute to the region's rich cultural heritage.
One detail that sets this lodge apart from all others is its private access to a secluded waterhole, Ontalelo Outpost, located in Etosha National Park. This waterhole is reserved for Etosha King Nehale guests, allowing them to immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature and observe the rich diversity of the animal world in this corner of paradise.
To the north, the reserve is surrounded by the bustling communal areas of Oshikoto, Oshana, Ohangwena and Omusati. This new Gondwana lodge offers guests the chance to combine Etosha's natural wonders with the cultural dynamism of the Aawambo people.

The dining room was decorated by Christine Marais, a Namibian artist who illustrated magnificent books on the fauna and flora of her country. The 14 spacious rooms have telephone and bathroom. The. is a little a and is compensated by the calm and palm trees of the gardens.

PALMWAG RHINOCAMP
Read moreLocated on the famous concession of Palmwag, this camp operates in conjunction with the Save The Rhino Trust NGO. The tracing of black rhino in their breeding area controlled by experts from their conservation is the main activity of the camp (minimum age: 12 years), but discovery of other abundant species in the region is not left aside (Hartmann's zebras, giraffes, sometimes desert elephants). The hotel is very close to the city centre and the hotel is a short walk away. The accommodation is in spacious tents decorated with a very safe taste. It takes at least 2 nights in this camp as long as the taxi route is far from the camp to avoid disturbing wild fauna. Travellers arriving by their own means can be recovered from the Palmwag Lodge after arrangement.
KHOWARIB REST CAMP
Read moreThis camp corresponds to a former protection camp for black rhino by camel patrouille. From the main runway, a sign indicates the camping towards the east by following the gorges of the river Khowarib. Tent and tent locations are available for a few dozen kilograms per person (with toilets and showers). The camp only proposes what we really need: water, a shelter and a sun with a light cast from the end of the afternoon (the reflections of light in the throat are worth displacement alone). It is therefore better to have the necessary arrangements for the duration of the stay. Spectacular views of Khowarib sclucht (gorge) and Hoanib river.
Proposed activities. Guided tours, visit of the traditional village of Anmire, excursions along the Hoanib River, bird observations and reservation, a camel-back hike to observe black (Save the Rhino Camel Patrol) rhino of half an hour to several days (to be reserved with Wildlife Scouts Namibia, P.O. BOX 40105, Windhoek Tel (061) 234 902 - Fax: (061) 230 116 - [email protected]).
