From the outside, it looks like an ovambo village: wooden logs surround the lodge as is often the case in Frans Indongo's country. This great Namibian entrepreneur is one of the few black Namibians to own a lodge. The twelve thatched chalets are arranged around a central platform, from where you can watch a multitude of antelopes drinking at the waterhole. The game drive offers a nice surprise: the encounter with white and black rhinos. Numerous white-tailed wildebeest and oryx can also be seen.

Wir haben bereits 2x in der der Frans Indongo Lodge übernachtet und es war jedes Mal ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr herzlich als auch zuvorkommend. Die kleinen Hüttchen sind bezaubernd eingerichtet und bieten genug Privatsphäre im toll angelegten Garten. Auf den Grundstück befinden sich auch wunderschöne, lila blühende Palisanderholzbäume. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch noch das super leckere Essen in der Lodge. Definitive Weiterempfehlung, am besten am Anfang oder noch besser am Ende der Namibia Reise einplanen.

We had a great getaway. The staff are very friendly and kind. Lovely view from the deck to see animals at the water hole. I would say the rooms, bedding need perhaps more revamp/modernized without taking away the ethnic vibes. The bathrooms are really nice. Lovely tub. The grass and grounds are kept well. We enjoyed our mealS especially breakfast. We were not so keen on the wild meat/venison serves every night. It’s a bit rich for our taste buds. I wish they would have served beef, lamb and chicken because as a local the beef and lamb/mutton is the best in the world and gives more versatility to local flavors and not just game meat. Overall wonderful place to visit for relaxation or as a stop over. Thank you to all.

Sehr schöne Lodge sehr freundliches Personal super Essen, Top Frühstücksbuffet. Die Bungalows sind sehr komfortabel, von der Restaurantterasse kann man Tiere am Wasserloch besichtigen
