The site guarantees total isolation in a magical setting, with robust facilities made from local materials. Many activities are possible: early morning hikes with a guide who is an expert on the local fauna; self-drive 4WD tours in the dunes (provided you deflate your tires); astronomy... El campamento NamibRand Family Hideout se encuentra en una reserva natural de excepcional belleza. Solo tiene 3 lugares de acampada, cada uno con zona cubierta con mesa y bancos, fregadero, baño, lavabo y ducha privados.

El entorno es precioso y se pueden encontrar bastantes animales, entre los que destacan oryx, springbocks y avestruces. Nosotros mientras cenábamos se nos acercaron varios oryx a comer incluso dentro de nuestra parcela!

Es muy cómodo, ya que la zona de camping está bien equipada, con zona de mesa grande de madera, bancos corridos, zona de mesado con fregadero y luz.
Al lado se encuentran unas escaleras que llevan a una zona cerrada donde se encuentra el wc, ducha con agua caliente y lavabo. También hay un espejo y banco para apoyar las cosas.

Nosotros hemos estado muy cómodos y el entorno nos ha encantado. Además, puedes hacer una ruta en coche de 10km alrededor del parque para ver la fauna y vistas del desierto.
Por cierto, ver el firmamento desde aquí es especialmente excepcional.

La réserve est superbe c’est vrai, mais ne possède que très peu d’animaux : springbok et oryx principalement. Nous avons trouvé le lodge trop cher pour ce qu’il propose. Il y a que 3 campsites quel dommage ! Impossible de se ravitailler en quoi que ce soit. Nous nous sommes occupés avec les activités proposées, malheureusement il n’y a que la sortie sundown drive avec Francky (Merci meilleur guide de tout notre voyage !) comme sortie qui nous a vraiment plu ! Oubliez le sunboard , et les vélos ne sont pas en bon état..

We had the whole farmhouse for ourselves. Charming place with its own history. I was afraid it might be a bit boring (there is no signal) but there are tons of interesting books and even board games to keep you entertained. Oryx, springbok and ostrichs frequently stroll in front of the house, as well as other mammals and birds. The NamibRand reserve is absolutely stunning. I also recommend visiting the nadeet centre nearby.

Wonderful experience. Feels like you are alone in the dunes. There are 2 campsites only and they are each private. Both sites provide abolitions, hot water and 12V power.

The views and the scenery are simply magnificent and my only regret was that we only had 2 nights at this magical place. The stars at night a breathtaking and once you switch off the lights at your camp, there is no artificial light.

While there is a 4x4 trail, the real winner is to walk amongst the dunes.
