All year round, travelers will find Paris-Dubrovnik flights with Croatia Airlines (sometimes with a stopover in Zagreb), and, in summer, numerous low-cost airlines, including Ryanair and Volotea. In addition to a large cab service, shuttle buses run between the airport and the old town (stops opposite the cable car, at the port and at the bus station, with timetables in line with flights), as does the city bus service (Libertas). Allow around 30 minutes from the city.

9 km southeast of Zadar, the airport is served by various European airlines (Lufthansa, Intersky, Germanwings, Ryanair, Danube Wings). For France, Ryanair flights leave from Paris and Marseille. Two daily flights are available to Zagreb via Croatia Airlines (45 minutes). To reach the city center (bus station, historical center), you will find cabs or Liburnija buses (4 €). First passenger port in Croatia. Maritime traffic is dense and well organized. Jadrolinija, Adriatica and SEM-Marina provide the bulk of passenger transport. The Jadrolinija agency (information and purchase of ferry tickets) is located in the ferry terminal. Ferries to and from Ancona and Pescara (Italy), Dubrovnik, Šibenik, Zadar, Rijeka operate all year round (night crossing). The Blue Line company (Splitours agency) now operates low cost ferries between Split and Ancona (with a stop in Hvar).

Just 8 km from the city center, this airport is a convenient starting point for your trip to Croatia via Istria. If you arrive in Pula by plane, you'll be at the tip of the peninsula, a good base from which to explore the region. In summer, low-cost airlines EasyJet and Ryanair operate direct flights from Brussels or Paris. From Pula, domesticflights with Croatia Airlines or Ryanair land in Zagreb, Rijeka or Zadar. Airport shuttle buses run all day (airport-Pula centar or bus station).

On the southeast side of the harbor, 1 km from the old town, the marina enjoys good protection from the wind. It has recently been refurbished to suit the clientele of the Grand Hotel Park, a luxury hotel just opposite. Boaters enjoy the best views of Rovinj's historic center. On-site services include harbor master's office and reception, currency exchange, laundry, café-restaurants, free Wi-Fi, specialized stores and boutiques, and nautical repair equipment.

During July and August it is particularly difficult to find a parking space in Dubrovnik. That is why it is very useful to have a map and timetable of the city buses with you. The company Libertas serves the entire modern city, the airport and the main coastal towns on the Dubrovnik Riviera. Even though they are often crowded in summer, these buses will allow you to get around quickly, even late at night, and not limit your visit to the old town. The airport is about 15 kilometers from the city center and serves most major European cities. The reception fordomestic and international flights is on the first floor, near the service areas (currency exchange, tourist counter, book area, car rental, etc.). City buses leave every half hour for the Zagreb bus station. The trip takes 30 minutes and costs €4 (about €33 by cab).

The bus station is located in the new town, on the port side of Gruž, about 3 km from the old town (Pile gate). Buses connecting Dubrovnik's various districts, as well as national and international lines, all stop at this bus station, 400 m from the ferry terminal at the port of Gruž. Cab fares are generally expensive in Croatia, although there are now a number of (cheaper) apps such as Uber and Bolt. Depending on the destination, the fare is either metered or calculated on a flat-rate basis. As in France, cabs are used for urban and regional travel, from one town or village to another, when there are no buses, and for airport transfers (very practical!). A very useful taxi service in this rather large city, built all in stairs and terraces on the mountain, which has not set up an interurban bus network. So there are many drivers in town waiting for customers with their vehicles ready to go. Among other places, you can find a taxi at the bus station or on the main street Vukovarska. All of them provide transfers to Split airport, the ferry pier for the island of Brač, all regional runs on the coast or in the mountains

4-5 times a day in summer, a ferry runs between Makarska and Sumartin. A good option for arriving on the island of Brač in 1h30, or even 2 h of crossing. The small port of Sumartin is tranquil, with crystal-clear seas and calm tourism. The problem for travelers without vehicles is getting to Bol. While Supetar is well served by bus, only minibus cabs take you to Bol. There are also Makarska-Bol catamaran crossings (P Line Cie).

In Split, between bus, train and boat, there are various ways to get around. From Rijeka, Zadar, Ploče, Zagreb, Podgorica, Budapest, Mostar and Sarajevo, the city is accessible by train. Between Zagreb and Split, the night train with daily sleeping berths is comfortable and quite convenient to save time or even a hotel room. The daytime trains are also comfortable.
