About twenty kilometers from the entrance of the Djoudj Park, Lampsar Lodge is a good alternative to enjoy the region. On the banks of a quiet branch of the Senegal River, the air-conditioned and/or ventilated huts with private showers are spread out in a magnificent garden with trees. Meals outside are taken on a terrace on stilts, windy and pleasant, feet in the water and a breathtaking view guaranteed! A good plan for small budgets! The hostel, which runs on solar electricity, has about ten huts and a large bar-restaurant, serving as a collective living space. This hotel, owned by the diocese of Ziguinchor, which had some 30 rooms, has been under construction for some time now. Only 12 rooms were operational at the time of our visit. Nestled at the northern tip of Saint-Louis, in a calm environment conducive to creation, it features a recording studio with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as cosy rooms in an early ^20th-century building.
