Dominique Pascutto and Florian Da Ros opened their mushroom farm near Champagnole by reoccupying abandoned greenhouses. Its culture developed from the Middle Ages in the region, until the 1950 s, when farmers decide to highlight this pink gold. A Red Label was obtained in 1966 and, in 1996, the Protected geographical indication of the European bodies. As a consequence of this success, production today reached nearly 800 tons per year and 179 producers cultivate Lautrec rose garlic over 360 hectares. In Lautrec, we celebrate every year, the first Friday in August!
