Steps: Cahuita
For this second day, we suggest several activities. The first would be to visit Cahuita National Park. Here you'll encounter white-headed monkeys. We also recommend the Manzanillo hike, which will take you to a viewpoint. Finally, there's a jaguar rescue center, which we recommend, giving you the chance to see them up close.
Sarapiqui

Steps: Puerto Viejo De Sarapiquí
The Sarapiqui River is bordered by lush vegetation, making it a popular destination for biologists and other explorers. The region is in fact a biological corridor through which millions of migratory birds pass every year, and where over 180 animal species have been recorded.
You'll visit an organic pineapple farm: a member of the family will take you on a tour of this superb organic farm. You'll discover pineapple, pepper, vanilla, cocoa and sugar cane crops. You'll learn about reforestation and respect for the environment. You'll also observe the wildlife (toucans, parrots, frogs, sloths...) that inhabit the property.
Arenal - Day 1

Steps: Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal
A must for exploring this beautiful region with its almost perfectly shaped Arenal volcano. You can climb the slopes of Cerro Chato, its sleeping neighbor, and take a dip in the lake formed in its crater. The region offers many options for relaxing in the thermal waters emerging from the volcanic rocks.
Imagine waking up to the sound of birdsong and finding yourself face to face with one of Costa Rica's most majestic volcanoes... It's a dream come true, isn't it? Hiking in the park and around the lake, observing the surrounding flora and fauna, strolling on suspension bridges among century-old trees. The region is bursting with activity. At the end of the day, relax in the hot thermal springs emerging straight from the volcanic rocks. A moment of pure relaxation.
We recommend the thermal waters of Paradise Spring. At night, it's the best!
Arenal - Day 2

Steps: Laguna De Arenal
Lake Arenal, Costa Rica's largest lake, offers a wide range of activities. Kayaking is one of the most popular activities.
You can also discover the Arenal natura reserve. All the diversity of flora and fauna concentrated in this pretty little private reserve facing the volcano. You can observe the famous green frog and other amphibian species, reptiles, crocodiles, birds and many other animals that inhabit this tropical forest.
Tenorio - Day 1

Steps: Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio
A small wonder of Costa Rica, Tenorio Volcano National Park is one of the country's must-sees. It owes its popularity not so much to its volcano, extinct and covered in vegetation, but rather to the magnificent river that flows through it: the Rio Celeste. With its unreal turquoise color, the Rio Céleste captivates the eye. Legend has it that God washed his brushes in the river after painting the sky blue, the reason for its pigmentation. Poetic, isn't it?
Tenorio - Day 2

After visiting Tenorio Park and its magnificent turquoise lake, we recommend the 9,969-hectare Caño Negro wildlife refuge. There, you'll take a boat ride on the Río Frío and the site's lagoons. Your guide will show you the refuge's many treasures. The list of birds, reptiles and mammals would be too long to go into here, but you'll take away an unforgettable memory.
Monteverde - Day 1

Steps: Monteverde
Immerse yourself in the heart of Monteverde's cloud forest and enchanting mountains. Accessible only by trail, the Monteverde reserve has to be earned. But what a sight it is! You may be lucky enough to spot the famous resplendent Quetzal while sipping a good cup of locally-grown coffee.
You'll visit a coffee farm to learn more about the cultivation of this bean. From the plantation to the ground coffee you've come to know, you'll see every step of the way.
Monteverde - Day 2

Steps: Monteverde
You'll discover suspension bridges to see the canopy from above. During this excursion, you'll be accompanied by a naturalist guide, who will explain everything he knows about the surrounding flora and fauna. The view from the treetops over the forest below is a unique experience!
Uvita - Day 1

Steps: Punta Uvita
Uvita (and the small neighboring village of Dominical) offer a rugged natural setting, with magnificent waterfalls, forests and long beaches lined with coconut palms. Uvita is also the gateway to the Marino Ballena marine park, with its long beach and tropical mangroves. From August to October, humpback whales and their calves are out and about, enjoying the warm waters of the Pacific. An exceptional sight to behold, just like in the movies! Fun fact: when viewed from above, the shores of Parc Marino Ballena resemble a whale's tail - coincidence?
For this first day, we recommend the Marino Ballena National Park.
Uvita - Day 2

Steps: Punta Uvita
On your second day in Costa Rica, set off to discover the small village of Dominical. Located north of Uvita, this small surfing village has a hippie feel. In the afternoon, a small artisan market takes place along the beach.
The Uvita coast is a renowned spot for humpback whale watching. Between July and October, they come to both mate and calve in the shallow waters of the Pacific. This boat trip is guaranteed to be a thrilling spectacle! Beware of seasickness.
Puerto Jimenez - Day 1

Steps: Puerto Jiménez
Located on the shores of the Golfo Dulce, Puerto Jimenez is the last town before Corcovado Park, at the southernmost tip of the Osa Peninsula. It is Costa Rica's green pearl. Pumas, jaguars, tapirs, howler monkeys and caimans are just some of the species present. A veritable zoo, minus the enclosures!
We'll take you on a guided tour through the heart of the rainforest in Costa Rica's green pearl.
Puerto Jimenez - Day 2

Steps: Puerto Jiménez
For this second day, we recommend you set sail on the Golfo Dulce and enjoy the tranquility of the area and the beauty of the scenery. With a bit of luck, you may be surrounded by a few curious dolphins and even humpback whales if it's the right season. Some tours also offer you the chance to stop in the open sea and get out your mask and snorkel to admire the seabed.
Manuel Antonio

Steps: Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio is famous for its park, home to sloths, coatis and white-headed monkeys. Magnificent rainforest-fringed beaches make this a popular seaside resort. From August to October, you can watch humpback whales and their calves come to enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific. A dream come true, don't you think?
The main attraction is the national park, which we highly recommend for its flora and fauna, beaches and viewpoints.
The next day, you'll take the road to Alajuela airport for your return flight.
