Day 4: Visit of the city of God Sun

Steps: Baalbek, Anjar

Direction the Bekaa plain (if safe conditions allow!). Baalbek, the city of the God Sun Baal, is the most beautiful site in Lebanon. It is unthinkable to miss it. The temples of Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus built under the Roman Empire are wonders. Anjar keeps the remains of the Umayyad Dynasty, the first dynasty of Islam.

Day 5: Saida, remnant of past civilizations

Steps: Saïda, Tyr

Saida's old town offers many cultural and architectural attractions. The sea castle of the crusaders, the soap museum, the Debanné palace built in 1721, and the Khan el-Franj are to be discovered. The Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine ruins of Tyre testify to the richness of this former commercial city. We finish the day on Tyre beach or enjoy a fish on the old harbour.

Day 6: Escape in the Kadisha Valley

Steps: Les Cèdres, Tannourine

Direction the Vallée valley and its monasteries built in the rock. In the afternoon a walk in the Cèdres forest is required.

Day 7: Discovering the life of the emirs

Day trip to the Chouf region. Deir el Qamar is a charming little village which was the residence of the Maan emirs from the 16th to the 17th century. Synthesis of all the architectural currents in Lebanon, the palace of Beiteddine is a marvel.
