Epoqu'auto is another show with classic cars and motorcycles. It is organized by the Club des Amateurs d'Automobiles Anciennes since 1979. More than 80 000 visitors come to admire the vehicles during the three days of the show. Each year, some brands are honored, many clubs are present with their most beautiful models, but also dealers of parts, miniatures, restorers, artists. Without forgetting the auction allowing to see the evolution of the car market and eventually sell or buy a car.

You are here in the Monts Mountains, about kilometres west of Lyon. This virtual Lane is accessible only by bicycle, and for cause: it is evolving on RD 600, a small, very small departmental road, which is prohibited for motor vehicles - except for neighbours. In 6 kilometres you reach the Nézel, a place called Larajasse. The course is pleasant, it offers you this and there beautiful views of the valley.

The Voie Verte du Beaujolais runs for 15 km through the Ardières valley, making it an ideal itinerary for hikers, cyclists and other soft mobility enthusiasts. Accessible to all, its tarmac surface allows easy, level progress in an enchanting natural setting. Dotted with 10 cycle tourism loops, this greenway invites you to discover the Beaujolais vineyards and forests, thanks to a network of surrounding cycle routes. Managed by the Rhône department, this infrastructure perfectly combines the pleasure of cycling with respect for the environment.

The Lyon 2 Wheel Show has been held since 1994. The aim of this association is to promote and teach gospel music throughout the year through workshops of vocal practice of contemporary and traditional works of blues and soul music. Every year the Absolute Gospel Festival is organised in Lyon, in which many great names of the scene take part.

Advice to amateur and passionate runners! On March 19, 2017, Villeurbanne will host the sports event des Stasi de Villeurbanne. In the programme: two circuits of 5 and 10 kilometres, to be travelled individually or by teams of four. Only, with family or friends, choose the race that suits you best, put your trainers, and join the many athletes expected that day!

Tariff: € 10 per participant for the 10 km, and € 8 for 5 km.

The idea of mountain biking in the city was born in 1995 with Bike in Lyon. 29 years later, the Lyon Free Bike is a not-to-be-missed event, with over 8,000 mountain bikers criss-crossing the streets of Lyon on a course that changes with each edition, with loops for all levels. It's a family-friendly event where everyone can find a course to suit their level: from the XL to the Discovery course, not forgetting the Rouler pour elles solidarity ride, open to men, to fight women's cancers.

To refresh yourself and discover the city in a different way, cross Lyon by kayak on the waves. Descent of the colourful Saône river from Rochetaillée-sur-Saône (shuttle) with more than 2 000 participants coming with their own boats - possibility to rent a two-seater canoe on site : kayak, canoe, stand-up paddle very fashionable, but also original canoes and a para-canoe challenge for people with disabilities . See the city as you've never seen it before! The urban trail was invented in Lyon, a style of running that has spread to other cities, which have become, for a weekend, special running grounds. With its marked relief (we are talking about a difference in altitude of 1,400 m and 6,000 steps for the 37 km, the main event reserved for a maximum of 1,000 runners), Lyon is the ideal city to welcome the best trailers and beginners (from the 8 km to the 37 km, without forgetting the 12 km rando). Always the same advice: register early (as early as December for a spring edition), because the participants are jostling each other at the starting gate.

Lyon's Hangar du Premier-Film is a must-see for film buffs. Located within the Institut Lumière, it offers visitors the chance to (re)discover films from all eras and geographical origins. Indeed, this historic location is the site of the first Lumière film, shot in 1895. The hangar, once a photographic plate factory, was saved from destruction by film enthusiasts. Today, it houses a 269-seat cinema where films are shown. Visitors can also enjoy the library, bookshop, café and galleries on site. A must-see for all cinephiles!

The Salon Gastronomique Mer et Vigne is a not-to-be-missed event in Lyon. The show features exhibitors working in short circuits, such as producers, craftsmen, winegrowers and oyster farmers. Visitors will have the opportunity to exchange, share and taste quality products. The show offers a wide variety of products, from aperitifs and digestifs to seafood delights and local specialities, both sweet and savoury. For wine lovers, a DRIVE-WINE service is available free of charge. Simply make your purchases on site and collect the cases of wine from storage at the entrance to the main parking lot. Superposition is an art gallery offering a variety of services, including on-site dining. Superposition also offers a program of events, such as exhibitions by local and emerging artists, DJ sets, creative workshops, concerts and yoga.
