The packaging evokes a medicine from ancient times, but the aromas set the tone: mint-lemon, verbena or blueberry-ginger. Made in the Forez Mountains from organically grown ingredients with a low sugar content, these digestives come in different bottle sizes, from the large container to the box of small bottles "Le trio de l'apothicaire", for the pleasure of discovery. MAISON 16 - LIQUEUR
Read moreYou knew the Sapinette, here is the Serpolette! This wild thyme liqueur, at 25° of alcohol, completes the offer of Maison 16. Located in the heart of the Forez region, this producer makes his home-made liqueurs from hand-picked organic plants. This is also the case for the fir buds and needles that go into the composition of the Sapinette, the house's first liqueur, created in 2019. Maison 16's products are not sold directly to the consumer, but are available in many wine shops and delicatessens in the region, to contribute to the dynamism of local commerce. LA SOURCE DISTILLERIE
Read moreThe heights around Saint-Étienne harbor incredible resources. The two founders of La Source Distillerie exploit the plants of these Auvergne hills to create local spirits. Two gentian-based aperitifs, "La petite soeur" and "La grande soeur", appeal to Suze lovers. A highly original pastis forézien has also been added to the range. Elderberry, raspberry and vine peach wines complete the range. La Source Distillerie has also turned its attention to digestifs, notably with L'Instant forézien. Local resources have enabled the production of 100% local vinegars and mustards, as well as delicious honeys and royal jelly.
VERVEINE DU FOREZ
Read moreIn a few years, Sébastien Forissier has dusted off the verbena cultivated in the past in Forez. A dazzling success that led him to double his production. With his Verveine du Forez, he has brought the "grandfather's liqueur" up to date. Wild verbena, lemongrass, officinal, all are labeled organic and grown in open fields without pesticides, picked and trimmed by hand. The maceration is done without coloring agents or preservatives, the product is less alcoholic for an authentic and artisanal liqueur mixing power and freshness. Many starred chefs, wine merchants, delicatessens and restaurants display it on their menus and new products are regularly created.
