Lionel Le Moullec, a seasoned Breton, was established years ago at the foot of the Grand Massif slopes to open his restaurant from here and elsewhere. L'Etoile des Neiges offers you sensual specialities that you can enjoy all winter. Fondue, mash, tartiflette and croziflette will take you back to the track. Smart was tempted by the tartiflette of the Aravis. Its particularity? Prunes invite potatoes, bacon and reblochon to charm your palate with a slightly sweet note. But the map does not stop there: except for salads, omelettes and pizzas, the fort of l'Etoile des Neiges is its pancakes and patties. Fresh and crisp, they have this inimitable taste born of ancestral know-how and quality regional products (the flour comes from the mill of Trémuson, for connoisseurs). This small station restaurant is distinguished by the variety of its menu and the freshness of its products. By dessert, if you don't stick to one of the pancakes, Tatin pie or homemade chocolate foam will be able to crack you. And for sure, you will return to the tide. !!

Read moreA practical situation: The Douchka is just steps away from the arrival docks of the ski slopes. A warm, warm decor with wooden tables, tile benches and a nice terrace, even in winter. The kitchen is traditional, with some Savoyard specialities: vacherin, fondue or charcuteries. And, of course, fine pizza pizza for amateurs (Italy is next to it). A nice welcome but a little price for the quantity!

Thread, the Mont Blanc in the foreground, then successively the Goûter Dome, the needle of the Midi and the Green Needle, recognizable as soon as the cloud of clouds left the summits. At an altitude of 1 485 metres, the magnificent chalet des Rhodos, renovated in 2014, is ideal for a nice stopover during a journey between Haute-Savoie and Savoie on the route of the Grand Alps (frequented by cyclists and bikers in summer), or simply a trip from the resorts of La Clusaz and La Croix-Fry in ten minutes by road. In winter, equipment is mandatory. In a design décor, tasteful, a chic mountain atmosphere which blends perfectly with the traditional Savoyard structure, the traditional specialities are restored as well as the changing brasserie dishes: bowl of beef tails in foie gras, candied pig breast, false beef fillet with colonata bacon,… to end with a financial aux or a delicate Pavlova. Indicated on the map, bio and low calorie proposals: gaspacho of nettle nettle to fumée smoke and tomme, pissaladière of season vegetables or vegetarian pastes. Stéphane, the owner, and his team will do everything to be satisfied - if we have forgotten his sunglasses or sight, no panic, they will give us suitable accessories, and in case of excessive freshness, a plaid. Unless you prefer to take refuge in the area, you can enjoy the fireplace. You can also book one of the guest rooms (music, cheyenne, travel, sport, mountain), contemporary, for a family or couple stay. Surprising! An address with a careful decoration that deserves a detour.
