This chapel is just steps from the cathedral. Here, everything is home, money from foie gras. Freshness of products and authenticity of flavours are the watchwords of this inspired and generous local cuisine. Example: porto egg in port and foie gras or salad and crunchy cheese (fresh goat in its brick, delight!) honey and lavender keys. Then: walnuts of Saint-Jacques liquorice/anise or crushed can of nuts/liver. In cooking, the benevolent Carine Cuoq varies the pleasures according to the seasons: magret duck with lavender honey or play wolf with candied tomatoes in summer. Declination around mushrooms and chestnuts in autumn. Plates are well fitted and well presented… Until the last touch: a dessert dessert for those who don't like to choose! A trio: Creamy orange cream cake with zests, mini-panacotta/grout of cassis and full burnt cream. A restaurant in the city centre that is unanimously appreciated and for good reason: here, the welcome is charming, the prices affordable, the décor playing with wrought iron and excellent dishes. In the kitchen, the local products are sublimated, in particular olives and PDO oil from Nyons, honey and truffles, lime and lamb, not to mention picodon. On that day, the delicious crispy goat cheese with caramelized almonds offered a subtle harmony of sweet/salty, the rabbit saddle stuffed with Nyons olives and its carrot purée with cumin was excellent. Just like the peach soup and its apricot sorbet. A warmly recommended address.

At the bottom of the city, not far from the quays and shops, the small wrought iron terrace at Comptoir des Loges will attract your attention. A la carte, or rather in slate, classic cuisine, simple and good even if one would appreciate a little more choice. The Counter also works as a tea salon if you just want to take a break in the day, and also offer themed evenings or tapas aperitifs. Note that this is one of the oldest restaurants in the city, created in the 20 s.
