With four rooms and as many different atmospheres, it has become one of the most popular clubs in the city, no doubt thanks to its programming, its atmosphere and the quality of the artists who perform there. Whether you're into house, urban music, techno or mainstream hits, you're sure to find something to get your groove on! It's up to you to choose, or to navigate from one room to another throughout the night.

A nightclub that offers a wide range of rock music from the Pixies onwards. On Thursdays, a stereo club night that allows young local artists to be discovered by the Gothenburg rock audience. Sticky Fingers focuses on quality concerts and live performances, and you can hear hard rock, pop, indie music, funk and soul! So there's something for everyone and it's a good opportunity to discover new, sometimes famous bands and to let loose on the dance floor!

This former theatre is now a nightclub where rock music is the star. What was once a cinema is now a music scene with two bars and a balcony, and a capacity of 900 people! Many concerts are organized with sometimes a hip-hop or indie pop program. This club has a very special charm, both rustic and typical, which gives the place the cachet of the rock clubs of the past. You can also eat in the "dining room", a large room that can accommodate up to 200 people.

Music lovers, the Konserthus is for you! The Swedish National Symphony Orchestra performs here. Usually at least one or two concerts per week, except when on tour. The rest of the time, you can enjoy other shows or jazz, classical or contemporary concerts. The acoustics are sublime and, for a few years, the Finnish conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali has been officiating there... The program changes often, so the best thing to do is to go there or consult the site for information.

An integral part of the Hagabion independent cinema (French films in particular), Café Kino is a fashionable little bar that looks like a living room, small, warm and carefully decorated. The tired piano that lines one of the walls reinforces the feeling of being in an old house. The welcome is charming, the tables are low, the furniture is both old-fashioned and designer, and it is a golden youth who comes here to drink glasses of wine or pints of beer. You can also order food here for a small fee. Outside, a nice terrace overlooks Linnégatan.

This small café is located at a crossroads of the bohemian district of Haga, a place for students looking for a fika, regular residents and tourists looking for a warm and atypical address. The decor is indeed tasteful, from the ^18th century façade to the mosaics on the ceiling. Great choice of pastries (with the biggest kanelbullar of the city!) of teas and sandwiches at correct prices. A lot of places to sit in the two rooms of the establishment. A good address, one passes there with pleasure!

Highly recommended by the locals, this café in the eastern city wall is a regular meeting place for many Visby residents. Lovely and original with its medieval style and old stone walls. Every week (except in summer) they serve a traditional soup and salad buffet, accompanied by coffee and cakes. Lactose-free and gluten-free options are available on request. It is a great place to have a coffee or something to eat in a quiet and comfortable environment in Visby.

Just at the entrance to the town, this bakery-cafe offers a nice little break. Ideal for a stop on the way to (or from) Gothenburg. The home-made cakes are always fresh and tasty. We also appreciate the bread, which can be used to make sandwiches or for breakfast. And of course, the coffee is also up to scratch! The place also offers small menus for those who come at lunchtime, and you can sit on the small outdoor terrace to devour your sandwich.

A great place in Malmö for a cup of tea with some sweets. For coffee lovers, don't hesitate to sign up for a tasting session. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of coffee and the different stages of roasting. You'll understand what makes it tick and how to best prepare it for yourself and your guests. Perhaps the beginning of a vocation? The tasting season is from February to April and from September to November.

A piece of Scotland in the middle of Malmö is possible. There are over 30 whiskies on the menu, as well as beers from Scottish and Swedish microbreweries. For those who can't stand it, there is also the option of eating good meat, and even the traditional Scottish haggis (made from tripe) and tatties (baked potatoes). Rustic atmosphere, with wooden tables and Scottish barrels. A good way to spend an evening straddling two countries.

Babel is the temple of the party people. Housed in a former church, this club attracts faithful night owls with a large neon cross. The evenings are eclectic, the atmosphere varies between soul, techno, pop, jazz, electro, as well as live concerts. The clientele is just as varied and depending on the night, we meet a completely different public. One goes there with an open mind and ready to be surprised, and generally one does not leave disappointed. Recently, the whole sound system has been redone, so let yourself be impressed by the sound!

In need of sun and latino atmosphere? Don't worry, Gothenburg has what you need! Tranquilo is a bar with a very colorful Latin decoration, at the crossroads of Mexico and Brazil. An excellent cocktail menu completes the whole and allows you to feel in the tropics for good, while remaining in Sweden! If you are very hungry, let yourself be tempted by the very good burgers of the menu (one of the specialities of Tranquilo). The music is also there, to put you in the atmosphere and spend a good evening!

If you want to go out during the week and are looking for some atmosphere, come to Yaki-Da. Housed in a beautiful 18th century house with four floors, this bar-club has a different music programme on each level. Upstairs, there is a piano bar for those who just want to chat, but downstairs, DJs and live bands (depending on the night) set the scene. The kitchen stays open until late, so you can eat good food. As far as the clientele is concerned, Yaki-da is the place to be for trendy clubbers and even Kanye West has been there!

Avenyn's chic club, quite posh and blinged out. You'd better dress up to go out if you don't want to be refused entry by the ruthless face booker. Lounge(s) is one of the most established nightclubs along the main Avenyn boulevard. Inside, a beautiful multi-storey house awaits you, with dance floors and well-stocked bars. The decor is cosy and the DJ plays upbeat commercial hits. A special bonus is the beautiful terrace with a view of Gothenburg's rooftops by night!

A very nice little design bar on the roof of the Scandic Hotel in the city. Good electronic music and great views of Gothenburg. Whatever the weather, the place is welcoming and you will be protected from the wind and rain. The bartenders are very passionate about their work and will be happy to make you exotic and original cocktails, adapted to each season. The ideal place for an aperitif while admiring the sunset and to meet the trendy population of the city. In addition, the place is really Gay friendly!

This club now housed in the same building as its big brother Trädgår'n is the meeting place for the cream of Gothenburg's party people and Beautiful People, as soon as the weather is fine. With its large terrace and its outside bar, one would think in a trendy club of Cannes or Saint-Trop', from where the name of the club. Inside, two large bars and a very large dance floor where the DJ (always excellent) is enthroned, await you. The decoration is directly inspired by the best dancefloors of Miami and Ibiza! But what a success! We loved it!

Why not spend an evening at the cinema when you visit Gothenburg? Biopalatset is the cinema par excellence, and you can see all the films of the moment there. It's a good opportunity to discover Swedish cinema, if you can find a screening with subtitles (usually in English), or to enjoy the English and French films that are on show. Usually, a seat number is indicated on your ticket, so you can't sit wherever you want, at the risk of really upsetting the usually quiet Swedes!

One of the best espressos in the city is served at Da Matteo. Coffee fans will be in heaven. The address located in the heart of the Viktoria passage is really nice. The decoration is very original, since the philosophy of the place is to arrange the interior by bringing the street inside the café! The idea is that the place is open, raw and alive, like the cafés in the markets of the past. A concept that has been very successful since there are now five Da Matteo's in the city of Gothenburg, and maybe others will open soon!

Sjöbaren Fish Seafood is a seafood restaurant located in Gothenburg. The restaurant offers on-site dining as well as take-away, but does not offer a delivery service. The restaurant also has another address in Gothenburg, on Lorensbergsgatan 14.

The bar where you can have a drink as well as party. Theme nights are organised at weekends. Beer lovers will be delighted, as there are 200 brands of beer available at the bar. The bar also organises quiz nights, usually in Swedish, which are well attended and make for a great atmosphere. Even if you don't understand anything, it's always a good opportunity to meet the locals and if you are convincing enough, maybe the questions will be translated for you! A nice place for a lively drink.

Beer lovers, don't miss your chance to pay your respects to this institution! Built in the 1900's, Ölhallen 7: an is Sweden's oldest beer bar, really! At the beginning of the ^20th century, the square had 14 breweries and wine taverns and four liquor taverns. Traders would come here at the end of the day for a well-deserved break. The restored interior, with wooden walls, is original and will take you back in time. Be sure to try the house beers Ljusare än det ena and Mörkare ändet andra.

During the day, the Bar Centro is a café where they serve a very good espresso and soft focaccias. We stop there for a fika break with friends, a lunch break, or a late afternoon snack. But the Bar centro is also, as its name suggests, a bar, and as soon as the evening starts, you can enjoy good beers, quality wines, cheese and cold cuts plates, and many other very good things! So don't miss it, whatever the time of day, because even though it's a small place, it has a charm all of its own!

For more than twenty years, Oceanen has sought to highlight and promote alternative cultures in all their forms. The specialized programming gives an important place to music, with concerts of independent artists from all over the world, but the place also proposes theater performances, film projections, readings... and always in an intimate atmosphere, close to the artists. Club nights are offered on some weekends, and in summer you can enjoy a drink on the beautiful terrace.

Neither really inside nor outside, Kafé Magasinet is located in a remarkable place: the inner courtyard of a brick building, covered by a large glass roof. The floor is paved, shrubs and green plants proliferate, and the light bulbs coming down from the glass ceiling bring a little warmth when the sun goes down. It is one of the trendy places of Gothenburg, quickly taken over in the evening by the young people of the district who come to drink beers, but if one stops there during the day for a coffee, the atmosphere is more quiet.

Möllers Brewery is a place where locals gather for a good pint on Friday or Saturday night after a long week of work. In an old half-timbered house in the center of the city, this bar with a friendly atmosphere serves fresh local beers, including Ystad Färsköl, the pride of the place. At the time, this house was a malt house, supplying local breweries with the malt grains they needed. The spirit has certainly been preserved. You can also eat here.
