Noma, a restaurant that has been voted "Best Restaurant in the World" several times, needs no introduction. At the helm of a 2.0 version, chef René Redzepi. His cuisine is both elaborate and inventive, using products grown or caught 100 km away! And products that have long been forgotten. For this "chef-magician-revealer of flavors", everything is edible: the earth, insects, tree moss... and they are often eaten raw. In 2024, Noma will close its doors, ready to concoct a new version of contemporary cuisine!

In the middle of the city but surrounded by old trees and green lawns, Orangeriet is situated on the edge of the Royal Garden. A romantic setting, an orangery at the service of a gastronomy inspired by classic Danish and European cuisine. A high-flying lunch or dinner in a cosy atmosphere, served in the elegant dining room, brightly lit by large bay windows, adorned with white ceiling chairs, or on the large terrace overlooking the garden. Dishes that sail between land and sea to satisfy your palate.

Kokkeriet discreetly displays its Michelin badge. Behind his stoves, a fine team of young enthusiasts gathered around the no less young chef, Morten Krogholm. If you wish, in addition to tasting top-notch cuisine, you can also get your hands dirty... two Thursdays a month! It's up to you, the delicate festivities! Typical Danish flavours, but inspired by seasonal produce, with a definite penchant for crunchy... seeds and flowers. Beauty but above all excellence in the mouth!

This downtown tavern, opened in 1929, is approaching the milestone of 100 years of good, tasty service! Atmosphere of yesteryear guaranteed at the "Sans Souci". Dark wood, old photos, still lifes hanging on the walls, checkered tablecloths and bistro chairs, dimmed lights to take you back in time for a bite to eat. Smørrebrød and other typical recipes to serve you. The smartest way to get a taste of everything is to share a hearty home-cooked plate. It includes: marinated herring, prawns, pork roast and terrine, chicken salad and cheeses.

A warm setting where you will enjoy eating. Sit on the comfortable upholstered benches lined up along the wall. Put your elbows on the tables covered with white tablecloths and... watch out for the contemporary hanging lamps that are a bit low over your head! You will eat Danish specialties, like the usual smørrebrød but also onion soup, soups au gratin, braised meats or mussels and French fries... Alma also offers three gourmet brunches. A sure value to meet with friends.

Under the clock! That's the name of this establishment serving traditional dishes served with house beer and old-fashioned smørrebrød. A welcoming, family atmosphere. It used to be a popular spot for workers, who came here to eat with family and friends. Regulars had their own glass marked with their name. One of these was the painter and writer Hans Scherfig, who rarely had enough to pay, so he would leave one of his paintings as a token. Today, his works are on display in museums... and on the restaurant's walls!

A small but friendly establishment, located just in front of the Marble Church, hence its name! The room is, as often, half basement. Inside, there are a few counters along the wall but above all a long table where guests can share their meal. The address is mainly frequented for its pizzas based on 100% organic products from fair trade. Probably the cheapest in town and certainly among the best! A la carte, with beautiful and hearty salads and well-filled sandwiches. Friendly welcome!

This hostel will appeal to all those who want to try traditional Danish cuisine.... And therefore the herring! At lunchtime, the buffet is a good option, not very expensive, as it allows you to taste the different recipes, about ten of them served with small potatoes, rye bread and butter. Finally, to conclude a Danish meal worthy of the name, there is nothing like a glass of aquavit. The house has about twenty fruity or spicy eaux-de-vie in its reserves. Every year in February, the Nordic herring championship is held here!

Huks Fluks brings color, freshness and Southern European taste to your plate. This inn-like restaurant - with its exposed brickwork, open fire, slates and hanging hams - serves (mostly) Mediterranean cuisine. Pata Negra and tapas (the house staple!), duck rillettes, croque-madame, Caesar salad, steak-frites and even coq au vin are all on the menu. Attractive terrace and giant outdoor barbecue! The wine list also features French and Spanish wines, all at reasonable prices.

Nothing Russian in this cafe brasserie neighborhood: his name refers to the Embassy of Russia which occupied this building for a while. In a relaxed atmosphere you can enjoy the usual smørrebrod and other compound plates which make the ordinary of every Dane worthy of this name.

A familiar face looms up in front of this crowded café! Sure enough, it's Gaston Lagaffe himself! And there's a reason for that: Gaston in Danish is Vakkse Viggo. And the restaurant's menu features the great classics of French cuisine: omelettes, galettes and sweet crêpes. Inside, the decor is worthy of a French-Belgian comic-book museum, with panels featuring Tintin or the Marsupilami. And the icing on the bistro's cake, French is spoken... as you'd expect on Copenhagen's most Parisian street!

At Bagelman (or Bagel store!), you will find no less than 12 different bagels: pastrami, crab, turkey, chicken, tuna, salmon... in lunch formulas or by the unit. As many sandwiches or wraps, but you can also enjoy delicious fresh salads (corn, red cabbage, snow peas, remoulade, tomatoes...) and pressed fruit juices. Something to satiate yourself between two visits to change a bit from smørrebrød! You will find them on Istegade next to Enghave Plads. To eat on the spot or to take away.

It is a place out of time that you will find here around this former port police station built in the early eighteenth century. A postcard-like setting on the edge of the canal, facing the boats that glide softly along the quay. To be lived from the terrace or comfortably installed inside, near the windows. A quality cuisine, inevitably inspired by the sea (fiske frikadeller and various kinds of herring on the programme), prepared by a chef honoured with several fine distinctions, including the Euro-toques label and the Michelin Bib Gourmand.

The story begins in 1898 with the installation of a boat rental company, between boat and rowboat. Soon a modest café opened its doors. Since then, you can eat excellent snacks halfway between French and Danish cuisine,(smørrebrød obliges...) for a good quality-price ratio and, especially, in a unique setting. Located on a pontoon moored along the canal, surrounded by the 18th century facades of Christianshavn, in the middle of ducks and ships of all kinds!

Hansen's Garden is a restaurant situated in an ocean of greenery in Frederiksberg Park, on farms that once depended on the castle. You can come here with family or friends, for lunch in the garden or dinner under the beautiful glass verandah. The recipes of yesteryear are revisited with a few notes of modernity, the plates are copiously served by waiters in white shirts and black waistcoats on checkered tablecloths. Noisy but convivial, crowded Saturday and Sunday lunchtime.

Formel B plays in the league of the city's top Michelin-starred restaurants... Its innovative, modern Nordic cuisine uses flavors borrowed from French and Asian gastronomy. It's a bit expensive to be a gourmet, but then again! Haute gastronomy has to be earned. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, a minimal, uncluttered aesthetic, and chromatic notes! Plates as beautiful as contemporary works of art. Added to this is a particularly careful selection of accompanying wines.
