Karlsruhe Zoological Garden is a German zoo in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg. The zoo covers an area of around 9 hectares, in addition to 13 hectares of public gardens and 16 hectares of forest. The Wilhelma Botanical and Zoological Garden dates back to the middle of the 19th century and was originally a Moorish garden created for King Wilhelm I. The 280,000 m² botanical park also has tree-lined paths as well as buildings and greenhouses in the neo-Moorish style.
