The first traces of this family of winegrowers date back to 1680. Since then, generations have succeeded one another, Philippe Brun and Antoine, his son, are determined to perpetuate the tradition. Philippe took over the reins in 2000 with his wife Alexandra. Together, they continue to run the 10-hectare estate and produce traditional cuvées and a special vintage, produced each year according to the vintage and inspiration. Tastings are held on site, with a visit to the estate as a bonus. Wedding aperitifs are organised.

Here, it's above all a family affair, first between father and son, then between cousins. Since 1626, 13 generations have perpetuated this estate with passion. Pierre Trimbach, president of the Grandes Maisons d'Alsace, is ranked among the world's top 10 white winemakers. His reputation is based on the unquestionable quality of his aromatic, dry wines for laying down. Since its creation in 1955, the cooperative cellar of Turckheim has become one of the best references by producing wines faithful to their origins and with their own identity. It gathers about 216 wine growers who exploit 400 hectares of vineyards. Do not hesitate to consult the website of the cellar, it is very well designed. It lists the wines in various categories: Tradition, Reserve, Terroirs, Specialities, Grands Crus, Vendanges Tardives, Crémants d'Alsace, Bio... Moreover, the reception at the tasting and sales area is impeccable!

This very famous family estate is run according to the virtuous precepts of organic and biodynamic viticulture. It produces wines that are appreciated all over the world, as far away as Thailand, that's all. The prices charged are certainly much higher than the average in the region, but what a wonder when you come to taste them... by appointment only! You can be seduced without sulking your pleasure by the Muscat Roche Moulée with its beautifully voluptuous fruitiness, the lively and salty Zind or the Pinot Noir Heimbourg, a wine that can be kept deep and velvety.

This domain spreads over 12 hectares of which more than 7 hectares are on the famous Grand Cru Brand terroir. Its vineyard is composed for a good part of old vines of more than 40 years, and even 70 years for some! Conducted 100% biodynamically since 2016, Domaine Armand Hurst produces healthy and unadorned, yet powerful and racy wines. In particular the Pinot Noir Coeur de Dragon which seduces with its fleshy expression and silky mouth. More atypical, the SY'RO (a wine made from a sylvaner maceration) is a perfect accompaniment to a good baeckeoffe!

Welcome to a family of passionate winegrowers who manage their vineyard in organic and biodynamic methods, with the double certification Ecocert and Biodyvin. The Barthelmé family manages with love and harmony their domain which is among the most successful of the Alsatian vineyard. These good practices allow the Domaine Albert Mann to produce surprisingly balanced wines. Examples include the 2019 Gewurztraminer (Trophée du Meilleur Vin Moelleux/Doux Elle à Table 2021) and the 2018 Pinot Noir Les Saintes Claires rated 96/100 by the Revue des Vins de France.

It is a duo of sisters that we meet at the Josmeyer estate: Céline and Isabelle, the^5th generation of the estate, who manage 90 plots of land in the plain and on the slopes of the Grands Crus Hengst and Brand. Here, they are keen to give the soul of the terroir to each wine and to add passion and even poetry (which can be found on the walls of their cellar and on their unique and original labels) to make each cuvée unique, matured in century-old oak tuns. A favorite is the Riesling le Dragon 2020, 16/20 in the Guide des meilleurs vins de France.

The tasting cellar of the Cave de Hunawihr presents beautiful vintages from a vast mosaic of terroirs and recently adorned with new labels. They are regularly acclaimed by professionals. This is the case of the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Rosacker stamped with a star in the Hachette Wine Guide. If you can't come to the store, don't hesitate to visit the online store which is very well designed: it even offers a sommelier advice service!

Jérôme Mendelin manages this beautiful vineyard according to the principles of environmentally-friendly agriculture (HVE certification). Assisted by Adrien Schoenheitz, he produces some fine cuvées that you'll be delighted to discover during your visit, including a powerful, dry and floral Pinot Gris Val Saint Grégoire (rated 94/100 by James Suckling). By appointment, take advantage of vineyard tours, introductory tastings or wine and cheese pairings.

At the turn of the year 2000, the Westhalten cellar and the Heim House became part of the Bennwihr cellar. It is from this happy merger that the name Bestheim was born, synonymous with terroirs rich in famous vintages and an association of complementary know-how! Today, the site is dedicated to the development and production of crémants. Just the return of things since the Westhalten cellar was one of the instigators of the Crémant d'Alsace appellation! Converted for a long time to organic farming (1970) and biodynamic farming (Demeter, 1981), this estate has been awarded a star by the Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2021! A precious recognition of the work done by Jean-Pierre Frick, pioneer of wines without added sulfites. Praised for their non-academic character, these excellent wines are available in the "Pure Wines - Zero Sulfite Added" range. To be tasted during your visit, the Pinot Gris 2018 Macération with its surprising cherry color and subtle aromas of red currant and pomegranate!

The Wolfberger Boutique organizes a variety of events and workshops, including the Prestige commented tasting and the guided tour of the vineyard. During your visit, don't hesitate to linger at the tasting bar, where you'll make some wonderful discoveries! Afterwards, it's up to you to choose from a selection of Crémants d'Alsace, Riesling Vendanges Tardives and Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles. You'll also find a fine selection of eaux-de-vie and liqueurs.

The history of the Humbrecht family dates back to around 1620. Established in Pfaffenheim since 1900, they work the vines according to the rules of organic and biodynamic agriculture. They plough with draught horses and use sheep. They also encourage the spread of flowers and plants for pollinators, and install nesting boxes for birds. The Paul Humbrecht estate produces exceptional wines, depending on the vintage, as well as liqueurs and eaux-de-vie that combine quality with very competitive prices.

If the Cave des Vignerons de Pfaffenheim is considered to be one of Alsace's highest quality wineries, it's thanks to a guiding principle that it has followed since 1955: favoring the terroir's imprint and encouraging good vineyard practices (integrated pest management, grassing, green harvesting...). This is where the grapes from the various grands crus, the flagship wines of the estate, are vinified. Cellar visits followed by tastings are scheduled every week.

The Maison Bentheim boutique presents wines from the best terroirs of the region. During your visit, you can discover the Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg 2019 (gold medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy) and the Crémant Grand Prestige 2015 (2 stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins). Among the new cuvées under the aegis of the Mondfangers, the Crémant "Qui chasse la lune récolte le Soleil" is a delicately fruity and aromatic wonder. We find the trace of the first winegrower of the Ginglinger lineage in 1610! Today, André and Marie-Paule perpetuate the tradition with their daughter Éliane who has a training as an oenologist. Some of their wines are matured in oak barrels, others have obtained a sigillé from the Confrérie Saint-Étienne. During your visit, you will be able to visit the cellar (capacity: 50 people) but also the vineyard. Good to know: your children can romp around in a playground while you taste some of the excellent Ginglinger-Fix vintages!

Although its origins date back to 1795, Domaine Kuentz-Bas has existed under this name since the ^19th century. Ecocert and Demeter certified, its wines are available in 3 ranges: La^4e Tour, Vendanges Tardives and Collection Trois Châteaux dedicated to biodynamic wines (Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Gris Grand Cru Eichberg, Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Pfersigberg...). We love the gourmet Muscat Trois Châteaux Ottonel 2018 and the cuvée Signature 2019 (pinot blanc, auxerrois, pinot gris, muscat). Matthieu Kuehn runs with passion this 8-hectare family estate, which collects awards: 3 gold medals at the National Cremant Competition, 17 at the Best Paris Wines Competition, 4 at the Mâcon Competition... A success that can be appreciated in a cellar where the welcome is equal to the wines tasted. Some vintages prove to be exceptional, notably the Riesling Grand Cru Eichberg with intense citrus notes. As for the Crémant d'Alsace Brut 100% Riesling, the Revue du Vin de France awarded it the superb score of 17/20!

The Becker family has been established in Zellenberg for four centuries. They have been pampering their superb organic vineyard for 25 years. In the cellar, small vinifications give birth to finely fruity wines that sumptuously illustrate the terroirs from which they come. Notably the Pinot Gris Rimerlsberg 2021 (gold medal at the Colmar competition) and the Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg 2019 gold medal at the Feminalise competition 2022. This family estate of 9 ha is managed by Franck Hartweg who produces quality wines, often acclaimed by the critics, including several from great growths, such as Mandelberg and Sonnenglantz. Frank will welcome you with his legendary smile to offer you to taste his wines. The Muscat " Gourmandise de Lisa " 2020 has been awarded 2 stars in the Guide Hachette 2023, the Pinot Noir " Prestige du Chat Noir 2020 " and the Gewurztraminer " Grand Cru Sonnenglantz " 2020 have been awarded 1 star each, a beautiful winning trio to taste urgently !

A great name in Alsatian viticulture, the Hugel family has been dedicated for generations to the promotion of Alsace wines. This estate of 30 ha, with a worldwide reputation, exported to more than 100 countries, is today managed by Jean-Frédéric and Marc-André, representing the ^13th generation. Tastings are possible in their typical and charming cellar. A favorite is the Gentil Hugel 2021, which combines the spice of gewurztraminer, the body of pinot gris and the subtlety of riesling with the fruitiness of muscat and the thirst-quenching side of sylvaner.

Certified Ecocert and Demeter, this estate is rated 5 stars in the Parker and Bettane & Desseauve guides! It takes its name from the Weinbach( winestream ), the small river that runs through it. Catherine Faller runs the Domaine Weinbach with her sons Eddy and Théo. The wines are declined in Cuvées (Sainte-Catherine, Laurence, Colette, Théo), Terroirs (Clos des Capucins, Altenbourg), Grands Crus (Schlossberg, Furstenstum, Mambourg, Marckrain), Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles. Bringing together 175 winegrowers, Cave Jean Geiler boasts 390 ha of vineyards spread over a mosaic of varied terroirs, including 10 Grands Crus! The cellar is very convivial, and the winstub hosts tastings for groups and culinary events. A winegrower's museum has been set up with the help of the local historical society. For the Kublers, viticulture has been a family tradition since 1620! Author of prestigious vintages, Paul Kubler has developed the estate to its present size of around ten hectares in the heart of the Vallée Noble. It's a veritable garden of vines, cultivated using environmentally-friendly methods. At the turn of the 2000s, Paul Kubler handed over the reins to his son Philippe, a graduate in oenology. The latter produces precise, ever-improving cuvées that appeal to an ever-increasing number of connoisseurs and specialists.

Olivier and Jérôme run this store dedicated to local and visiting beer lovers. More than 650 references from all over the world, only that! There are so many cans and bottles on the shelves, some with very colorful and peppy labels, that you don't know where to look! Switzerland, France, the United States, Germany and a large offer of Belgian beers. You can find very different brewed beers (sometimes vintage), some of which are very original like these Polish beers IPA Mango & Kiwi or Lemon & Grapefruit, Double Gose.

The Brewery of the Welche Country enjoys a well-deserved reputation, as proven by its Bière au Pain, a favorite stamped with 3 stars in the Guide Hachette des Bières 2022! The brewery elaborates its beers with organic malt and the manufacturing residues are recovered by a farmer of the village who recycles them to feed his cows! During your visit, you will be able to taste and buy lager, brown or amber beers, but also delicious beer jams. And... have a picnic in the covered area of the brewery's yard!

Hervé Lichtle, a famous wine merchant in Kaysesberg, owning a famous vineyard in Husseren-les-Chateaux, has made the excellent decision to settle in South Alsace and very exactly in the charming little village of Brunstatt. Romane, her passionate sparkling saleswoman, will find THE bottle that will leave its mark on your taste buds among the 1,000 wine and spirit references of this true wine cellar. Italian wines imported directly from Italy, small wines from the Rhone Valley and some excellent bottles of Alsace wines, including of course those from Domaine Lichtle, but not only. The board is very important and small tastings are regularly organised.

Melissa Will brilliantly runs a blog dedicated to her favorite wines in Alsace and elsewhere. In her wake, we discover breathtaking landscapes, passionate winemakers and excellent wines that are mostly organic and/or biodynamic.
