LE BIEN, LE MALT
Read moreThe beers are brewed in small volumes and are inspired by English and American Ales as well as Belgian Saisons (some are available in bottles to take away). New beers are regularly created according to the seasons and the availability of products, especially fruits and forest products. The brewery also offers sausages, smoked fish rillettes and grilled sandwiches. A list of alcohols and spirits, including several from Quebec, is also available.
TÊTE D'ALLUMETTE MICROBRASSERIE
Read moreIt's hard, if not impossible, not to fall under the spell of this magnificent two-hundred-year-old house, with no neighbors, overlooking the river with a breathtaking view and terrace/backyard. What sets this microbrewery apart is its wood-fired brewing process. Unique in America! Small snack menu, too, including mixed nuts, dry sausages, arancini with forest mushrooms and local cheese, organic fougasse and other delights.
LE CAVEAU DES TROIS-PISTOLES
Read moreThe former Caveau-Théâtre is now a microbrewery. The place's past and regional history are reflected in the names of the beers, such as La Guerre des Clochers (rye stout), the name of the last play performed at the Caveau-Théâtre before it closed, or La Dame des Neiges (Belgian white with forest essences), a reference to the patron saint of Trois-Pistoles. Programming of literary, musical and artistic events, and brunch on summer weekends.
AUX FOUS BRASSANT
Read moreThey serve delicious homemade nectars made from mostly Quebec and organic barley, as well as seasonal beers and other creations of the brewer. We particularly like the Bagatême, a Belgian-style white with an orange taste and notes of coriander and ginger, as well as the Embrouille, a NEIPA with peach and tropical fruit aromas. Appetizers and snacks are also on the menu, as well as a program that includes exhibitions of works by local artists, shows and pub quiz nights.
