Near the Vosges, in one of the most wooded communes of the Meuse is the only museum in the Lorraine horse. Opened around 1860, the workshop continues to make small friends complicit in children. The company Petitcollin reveals to the public its techniques and secrets of centuries-old manufacturing. Thanks to a thematic course conducted through loans from private collectors and with the valuable help of the company, one can (re) discover the whole history of the brand and that of many models that have made and still shine the eyes of the children. Opposite the Citadelle, the former guardhouse, abandoned for years, now houses a museum. Opening in 2023, it traces the career of Michel Dupré, the Mayenne draughtsman who was swept up in the war in 1914, thanks to his many drawings, but also to Pierre Brancher, a photographer in the same regiment. A faithful reconstruction with an exceptional collection of objects that belonged to the Poilus. A 3-in-1 venue, the museum also includes a bar/restaurant and a store.
