The world-famous gooseberry jam with quill pen has been the pride of the Barisiens since 1344. This house, founded in 1879 by Mr. Amiable, was bought in 1974, with its manufacturing secrets, by the family of Anne Dutriez, your hostess. Alongside red, white and pink currant jams, you will discover a range of specialities from Lorraine: syrups, juices, local beers and wines, spices, herbal teas... And also: natural cosmetics, mead, etc.

In 1755, King Stanislas entertained in style. During the meal, his pastry chef handed in his apron! A servant, Madeleine, made the golden, melt-in-the-mouth cakes that were served on feast days in his home town, Commercy. Since 1882, 5 generations of Madeleine craftsmen have succeeded one another in this pretty store for over a century. Established in 2020 in Revigny, the Nettancourt cooperative brewery relies exclusively on the short circuit: it produces and distributes its own organic beer. The Confrérie de la Truffe en Lorraine was founded in 1996. Its main role is to promote and recognize the region's truffles (Tuber uncinatum and mesentericum). The Grand Master of the Confrérie is Jacky Haim. Cooking classes and themed weekends are organized from October to March, as well as exhibitions. Created in 1969, Jardin de Lorraine is a fruit cooperative located on the Meuse coast. Its orchards cover an area of 60 km and this collective enterprise brings together some sixty arboriculturists. Their activities are divided into three main sectors: the sale of fruit (Mirabelle plums, quetsches, Morello cherries), the production of AOC brandies from their three main fruits and made through traditional distillation and finally by-products for the gourmet. The old castle of Charmois has been entirely renovated by a family with a passion for old stones. The son, Alain Bonnefoy, established his microbrewery there more than a decade ago. He created his own beer, the Charmoy, which is considered the little sister of the Belgian Trappist beer of Orval. These delicious mushrooms are harvested in the autumn, during the "tilt", given to the instrument used to dig truffles, with the help of a dog's flair.
