Museum dedicated to one of Lorraine's greatest artists, featuring a fine collection of drawings, objects and works of art
Housed in the former school of Montmédy's upper citadel, the museum is dedicated to one of Meuse's greatest artists, Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848-1884), born in Damvillers. A fine collection of never-before-exhibited drawings, objects and works on loan from the Musée Lorrain (Nancy) and the Musée Rodin (Paris). Thanks to this rich collection, the Musée Jules Bastien-Lepage in Montmédy sheds new light on the work of this internationally acclaimed artist from the Meuse region.
