The three-course menu (known as the market menu) changes regularly. A superb address very well known since 1991. It is one of The Hague's most valuable assets and has been able to renew its menu and décor over the years. Fouquet cooks in tune with the seasons and is a fan of slow food. A very popular address that we appreciate very much, especially if we are short of the local cuisine.

If you're in the mood for Kyoto, Amstelveen is the place to go. This address, between a shopping center and a busy street, may seem unlikely. The restaurant is accessed via a small (Japanese) garden and pretty flagstones. The atmosphere is very successful and the audience includes many Japanese, which is always a good sign. The cuisine is super-fresh and the wood-panelled setting very warm. The sushi is excellent, but let us recommend all the dishes. Izakaya is the ideal address after a visit to the Cobra Museum.

A pleasant address not far from the Peace Palace, where you can eat quiches, mixed salads and pasta dishes, as well as soups and omelettes. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service friendly, often fast and efficient. You can hear a lot of French being spoken here, as the French embassy is just a stone's throw away. The establishment is a sure bet in the city, with a pleasant, bright decor and large windows. If you're lucky, you might even bump into Anton Corbijn, the god of made-in-NL photography, who has a regular habit here.

Garoeda was one of the city's historic landmarks, opening its doors in 1949. Recently, it was taken over by the king of stoves, Ron Blauuw. He has transformed this slightly outdated classic into a warm, designer restaurant that's a must-see. Set over several floors, Garuda features a superb upstairs bar for lively evenings. But it's the bar within the bar that's the place to be. The menu is inventive and modern, while taking up the classics of this incredible cuisine. The cocktails are also excellent.

This golden inn is a superbly revisited city institution. The setting is historic, and its fabulous façade is a real draw. The inn offers quality brasserie dishes in a classy setting that always seems to be bustling. The design is very successful, combining classic elements with a zen-like modernity. In winter, the cosy atmosphere of the auberge is very pleasant. In summer, the terrace is always packed. If you get tired, you can extend the experience by staying overnight in the superb themed suites.

Pastanini is a top quality caterer. Here, in the heart of The Hague, you can enjoy sandwiches, various pasta dishes and bread like you can find in Italy! Very good address for an espresso of course. A good place for pasta and pizzas, not to mention the children who have their own menu. A classic of the city where it is good to pass. Why not succumb to one of the desserts or a cheese platter. An address filled with various temptations. The service is also efficient.

On Rotterdam's famous Witte de With, the street of thirst, Hamburg, a burger specialist, has been making its mark for several years. This address promotes "clean and decent" burgers, meaning good quality meat guaranteed without hormones and antibiotics. All the meat comes from the Netherlands and the burgers and sauces are homemade. The menu will make you drool! Several veggie burgers are available as well as a succulent fish & chips and chicken dishes. Children are not forgotten with dishes for them!

Roti is a club restaurant housed in a former garage in the city's northern district. The furniture is sober, the welcome warm and smiling, right next to the Skate Café, which we also like a lot. The menu is concise and offers broodjes, but also and above all dishes of Indonesian origin. Roti is not the dish we call it, but a generous portion of breaded chicken with sweet and sour sauce, or the delicious peanut-based satay soup. Once the meal is over, the place transforms into a club.

Lemongrass is a top-of-the-range eetcafé that serves fish specialities. The price-quality ratio is good, the wine list is varied and the staff does everything possible to ensure that customers have a pleasant evening. As the restaurant motto says, life is too short to drink bad wine! Here we like quality, in the plate and in the bottle. Several thematic menus are available. But it is also possible to have dinner à la carte. The ideal address for a beautiful evening that will ideally extend with a walk on the beach.

A charming eetcafé where you can enjoy simple, nourishing dishes by the fire or at the bar. Service is provided by students who do their best to make the evening enjoyable. We love this versatile address for a drink or a bite to eat, as a couple or a group. The atmosphere is always warm and positive. Note: the menu changes 4 times a year to highlight seasonal, quality produce. A great address that's a must for any visit to Delft.

For the unavoidable Indonesian specialties that grace a stay in the Netherlands. The decor doesn't hint at the quality of the food! One of Delft's oldest addresses. An address that combines the historical traditions of Indonesian cuisine. The famous rice tables will win you over. Beware: everything can be spicy, and so can the bill, so be sure to have the dishes explained to you. Presentation can sometimes be spectacular. Next to the restaurant, you can buy the dishes directly and enjoy them at home.

This is a very pleasant restaurant. Its internationally inspired cuisine is delicious. Design décor with glass panels and harmonious colors. You immediately feel at home. You can read a newspaper on the wooden benches, comfortably seated on the soft cushions. The menu also features comfort food, with tasty burgers, Dutch-style omelettes and full salads. In the evenings, the menu is more complete, but still with the gezelligheid we love so much.
