Read moreA family business founded in 1929, Société fromagère de la Brie manufactures a variety of cheeses: brie de Meaux, brie de Melun, brie de Montereau, coulommiers as well as certain "triple cream" specialties (Jean de Brie, vignelait, bayard gourmand, brillat-savarin, brie de coulommiers, brie de Nangis...) and "double cream" (saint-siméon, brie de Montereau, explorateur)... On the leaner side: 1000-year-old cheese or cendré de la Champagne at 20% or 30% fat content.

Their 40 Montbeliarde cows graze on 40 hectares of pasture, and their milk is transformed on the farm into delicious Brie, coulommiers, tomes and fresh cheeses. You can watch the milking and buy organic cheeses on site or through La Ruche qui dit oui! Even Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris buy from this open farm, lovingly run by Nicolas and Camille, where animal welfare is a priority.
