LADOYE CIRCUS
Read moreAt 6 km from Château-Chalon, an amazing site that could compete in the remote of Baume-les-Messieurs. Lédoniens are many on the hiking trail on Sundays. Well indicated, it leaves Blois-sur-fit and carries out a loop at the bottom of the remote. In particular, we discovered the old milk cable that was feeding the village once. The view makes it possible to appreciate the beauty of the landscape. We can then understand how the Jura formed a few million years ago: an exceptional place. For nibble, on-site restaurant or hostel on the farm in Fay-en-Montagne

LES MARCEL'S
Read moreThe Marcel's have been a strange family for a few decades in Marcel Aymé's country. Some will say that some people are crazy, where good humour and farce are omnipresent. Constituted as an association, it is the meeting between a woodcarver and his supplier. The family is now large, with about a hundred wooden carved characters called the "Marcel's", in homage to the famous writer.... A rural family, too, which depicts life in the past, tells the story of the arrival of the train in the village, the legend of the Vouivre or that of the "Pacolets" that haunt the forest. Guided by a soundtrack, you can visit a castle and its medieval street. Further on, in the deep forest where the "Marcel's jalopy" takes you, a storyteller tells other stories. The 2019 program is provided:
2 formulas for groups from 10am to 6pm. They will take place on June 16, July 6, 20, 21, August 24 and 25, September 14 and 15. You will have a show at the castle, a visit to the Marcel's village, a show, a reconstruction of the life of the castle, a meal but also a trip in a "Marcel's tacot" in the heart of the forest.
Other highlights of the season will be fleas on August 4, a fondue party on October 19 and Christmas lights on December 14 and 21. Information by phone or on the site.

SORTING CENTER OF THE JURA
Read moreThe Jura pioneered the establishment of the uniform collection and sorting system throughout the department, before it expanded at national level in the 1980 s. Many cities have long been the «eco-citizens' commune». The recyclable waste of the inhabitants, grouped in a single blue bin per family, is collected "door-to-door", then manually differentiated at the sorting center and then recycled in some areas, creating jobs. As for the contents of the gray lid trash, it is incinerated at the adjacent plant. The heat of the incineration is recovered in particular to heat collective housing and the Aqua 'Rel center of Lons-le-Saunier. Visit places where garbage is sorted and incinerated? What a funny idea! However, the staff of the CDTOM welcome an average of 3,000 visitors per year. The free visit of the centers is instructive in many ways. The processes of waste management in the Jura and all facilities can be discovered. Documents are also available through the site and social network.

CONSERVATION VINE
Read moreThis vineyard of the Haut Val d'Amour, inaugurated on June1, 2019, received the Renou prize from the National Association of elected officials of the vine and wine. An achievement for the association of amateur winegrowers led by Christian Maréchal. The 38 old vines used in the past in the region occupy the plot enriched with a dry stone caborde (or shelter). This is a remarkable site because it overlooks the Loue valley. After having met the Argant noir, the Béclan and the Enfariné, a no less pleasant walk will complete your visit to the borders of the Doubs.
