This relatively young cooperative, created in 1957, today brings together 55 winegrowers attached to the Jura terroir. Their vines are partly located in the Château-Chalon area... Their yellow wines, including this one, are a credit to this very well-received winery. But all the grape varieties and all the wines of the Jura are represented. The estate comprises 5.5 ha, 4 of which are planted with Chardonnay and Savagnin, including a parcel of Château-Chalon. Philippe Butin, who has run the estate since 1980, has just handed over the pruning shears to his son Kevin and Aloïs, both of whom are equally passionate about their work. The white Savagnin is matured in 228-litre barrels, and the yellow wines impress even the most demanding tasters. Concerned about the environment, Emmanuel and Nathalie have been managing the estate's 9.5 hectares of organic farming since 2018. Their demands continue during the harvest when time is no longer important, the right maturity of each parcel is expected for the picking of the grapes. The harvest is done by manual selection of the grapes where the eye has all its importance, then the vinification is subject to rigorous monitoring. The wines are made with the least possible inputs in order to preserve the raw material and the juices. There are also natural wines.

This beautiful crèmerie, run by Marie and Christophe, lights up the square. Its architecture is typical of the fruitières of yesteryear. Born in 1907, this is a shop with a long history. It offers cheeses matured by Arnaud. Comtés aged from 5 to 36 months and matured at the Fort des Rousses. You'll also find other regional specialties, including "producer" wines. An outstanding winemaker, Jérôme Arnoux has 20 years of vineyard and cellar experience behind him, managing two niches at the same time. First, a 15-hectare estate, part of which is organic. Then there's "Les caves de la Reine Jeanne" (Queen Jeanne's cellars), where visitors are welcomed under medieval vaults and arches. It's hard to recommend a particular vintage, such is the care taken with each one. Our senses nevertheless came to rest on this "Exception", a 2018 Arbois rouge trousseau. A perfume of fresh fruit of unprecedented finesse, combined with a range of suppleness on the palate.

This family-run business, run by Stéphane Thaurin, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. It offers artisan hams, sausages and other delicacies made in the charcuterie-salaisons workshop. The choice of sausages is extensive: dry, smoked, based on regional wines... In addition to the unmissable hams and sausages, brési (the equivalent of viande des grisons) is also featured. The house also concocts succulent terrines. And in summer, grilled sausages (with Comté, Arbois wine, herbs...) are a must for your barbecues.

La fromagerie de Chevigny specializes in the production of high-quality artisan cheeses. Located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, it offers a wide range of cheeses, including Comté, Morbier, Mont-d'Or and many others. The cheese dairy attaches great importance to the quality of its raw materials and the traditional production methods it uses. You can discover all these delicious cheeses by visiting the Chevigny cheese dairy. Comté is famous for being different from other cheeses from higher altitudes.

The reputation of this fruit farm is well established: it ensures the in situ maturing of its production (8,700 wheels) which comes from the 3.3 million litres of milk produced annually. The cheesemakers Pascal and Mathieu and their teams produce 2 appellations, Comté and Morbier, as well as a tomme cheese called "La Fertoise" and a raclette cheese. In the shop, you will find a fine selection of regional products. Fruitière du Val d'Amour is a dairy cooperative founded in 1952, which has rapidly become a major player in the field of milk processing into quality dairy products. It stands out for its respect for the environment and biodiversity, with local producers who adhere to strict quality and sustainability standards. Comté and Morbier are the fruitière's flagship products. Other dairy products include butter, crème fraîche and yoghurt.

This shop was created more than 20 years ago by an association of milk producers' cooperatives from the Jura and Doubs regions. It presents carefully selected products. A prime example of the local produce of the Comtois region, with all the best specialities: charcuterie, wines, soft drinks, cakes, jams... You will find everything! Founded in 1953 by the Martin family, this is a 34-hectare estate. A forerunner in organic viticulture in 1999, it is now a biodynamic estate. The wines are matured mainly in wooden barrels in three large cellars, each 70 m long. The methods used in their production produce a full range of Jura wines of remarkable finesse and elegance, offering unforgettable tasting moments. The estate's staff welcome you to visit the cellars by appointment, and the boutique is located in the heart of Arbois for wine tasting.

Situated on the heights of Mount Roland in Düsseldorf, this brewery claims to be the "heir" of Walter Gysin who registered the brand in 1900. Maria and Fabrice Pannaux prepare excellent beverages from their experiences in Belgium, the Czech Republic and Germany. Their beers are made according to the "German laws of purity" (water, malt, hops, yeast). 8 variants: blonde, white, amber and red, brown, india pale ale with funny names. A terrace with a small restaurant will allow you to have a pleasant break.

This wine cooperative is the youngest in the vineyard, with 17 winegrowers and some 40 hectares covering the Côtes du Jura, Etoile and Château-Chalon. The whites are the most important with 80% of the vineyard in chardonnay and savagnin. The annual production is around 2,200 hectoliters. The culture is more than reasoned, an orientation turned towards the bio since even the residues of treatment are recycled on the spot. Do not hesitate to discover the crémants du Jura. Yassine Amrouni created his micro-enterprise in 2014 to achieve his dream: to produce distinctive, naturally sparkling and balanced beers. An advocate of organic, his beverages are unfiltered, unpasteurized and all made from rigorously chosen ingredients. In his South Jura region, his production has successfully intensified. His recipes are made according to his favourite recipes. 4 variants are available (blonde, amber, white and brown), all certified AB by Ecocert. Don't look for a "standard" wine from him. For Dominique Poitou, who works with all the grape varieties of the Jura, the strength of the Revermont wines is first and foremost their unique character. Settled in Saint-Lothain since 1973, he cleared a good part of his 4 ha before planting his vineyard. He is an ambassador for the Jura region and the know-how of the region's winegrowers. The philosophy of the house is to give time to time and twenty years later, these liquid nuggets have not aged a bit. You must taste their yellow wine!

This cooperative was founded in 1906 and was one of the first in France. It has 130 winegrowers, 2 cellars in Arbois and 3 others in the region: Arc-et-Senans, Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux and Poligny (Caveau des Jacobins). Cellar visits with tastings take place in the summer. In addition, there are summer Thursdays (visits, food and wine pairing evenings), tailor-made workshops (tasting of Savagnin and vertical yellow wine) and, to conclude, the discovery of the vineyards by bicycle.

For François Mossu, the love of the vine counts more than the glory. He knew how to transmit his passion to his daughter Alexandra with whom he has recently associated. The fruitière de Salins-les-Bains is an agricultural cooperative founded in 1928, specializing in the production of Comté, one of the region's most famous cheeses. It is located in an exceptional natural environment, surrounded by the Jura mountains and fir forests. Every day, it collects fresh milk from over 50 local producers, all of whom are committed to sustainable agriculture.
