The cuisine serves medieval dishes. It's a real culinary journey. The tradition is resurfacing as a workshop-museum opened its doors in the summer of 2007. This reputable inn relies on tradition and never disappoints. The interior, lulled by traditional music, is warm, with a multitude of retro objects. The service in period dress provides an authentic atmosphere. Carniole's specialities are in the spotlight and the menu is in French.

The cuisine is based mainly on meat in sauce and gives pride of place to seasonal game. The fillet of wild boar with cheese struklji is a house speciality. Apple strudel (jabučni zavitek) or honey struklji are worth a visit. Tasting in the wine cellar and buying local wines with wise advice, even Tito succumbed to this place.

Read moreYou quickly feel at home in this gostilna thanks to the simple and warm welcome of Boštjan Bernik, who makes you appreciate the local dishes and his bread baked on the spot while his wife Jožica works in the kitchen. The surroundings lend themselves to a stroll, the plain is at your feet and customers do not hesitate to come from the capital to here. The house specialty, a variety of meats and vegetables served on a wooden platter, is tempting. The kind of scene Brueghel would have been sure to sketch with his brushes.
