The Gaudinat-Boivin winery, located in Festigny, Champagne, is a must for sparkling wine lovers. Run by two brothers, Hervé and David, descendants of a long line of Champagne winemakers, it has been perpetuating ancestral know-how for three generations. Their 12.5 hectares of vines, cultivated with respect for the environment, produce mainly meunier, the grape variety emblematic of the Marne Valley crus. Cuvées are blended with chardonnay and pinot noir. Authenticity and typicality are the watchwords of this house, which is constantly perfecting its fine bubbles.

Located on the terroir classified as a Grand Cru of Avize, near the Place Léon Bourgeois, and certified "Vignobles et Découvertes", the House welcomes a large number of visitors each year. The vineyard extends over 12 hectares and allows the elaboration of beautiful Cuvées fully representative of their terroirs of origin. You will have the choice between the Cuvée Carte Blanche which is ideal for the aperitif, the Cuvée Réserve Brut, a blend that can accompany the whole meal or the Cuvée Marie-Joséphine dedicated to Marie-Joséphine Lanaud. Today, it is the fifth generation, and the great-grandson, Mathias, who is in charge of the estate with his wife. More than six hectares are planted, mainly in first growth, for an annual production of about 30 000 bottles. The vineyard is managed in sustainable viticulture. In the range, we find the Cuvée Brut Grande Réserve which testifies to their know-how. A wine with a powerful nose of honey and hazelnut, with a light mineral touch that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the table with a nice fish in sauce.

Champagne has been produced on this estate since 1925. Five generations of winemakers have succeeded one another in this vineyard in the Bouzy Grand Cru, which produces elegant, refined champagnes every year. If no such legislation exists, they must be at least 21 years of age. For champagne lovers, a visit to Champagne Gosset is a must when visiting Épernay.

This beautiful six-hectare family estate uses integrated viticulture and produces 7 different cuvées that are a pure reflection of their original terroirs. The vinifications are of the utmost finesse. The Fleur de Bulles cuvée is a case in point. The bubbles are lively and the wine is very fruity, typical of meunier. Deregard-Massing was founded in 1936 on the Côte des Blancs. The Brut Grande Réserve cuvée, for example, is predominantly Pinot Meunier, and can be summed up in one word: supple. Chardonnay adds finesse and fruitiness. The Brut Premier Cru also charms the palate, with its robust structure and white fruit. For lovers of rosé champagne, the Cuvée Rosé Premier Cru is a gentle pleasure. For four generations now, the David-Heucq family has been cultivating vines and producing champagne in this typical terroir, whose Lutetian limestone soils are strewn with shells. In the heart of the Montagne de Reims and spread out over several communes, we find the vineyard of Christian Patis, a winemaker who has always worked the vine with love, and who perpetuates the traditional know-how of the region. Produced on the property, a nice range of wines is offered, like the Grande Réserve Brut, a racy and fruity wine. It was in 1875 that the Marguet Bonnerave house was born in Ambonnay, under the impulse of Emile Marguet. Since 2005, the house is called Marguet Père et Fils, and it is Benoît, from the fifth generation of winemakers who is in charge of the domain today, a vineyard cared for in biodynamics, phytotherapy and aromatherapy, with work of the soil with a draft horse since 2010, for the better being of the earth. The house concentrates its efforts on a limited number of cuvées: Shaman, Shaman Rosé, Chouilly, Amboniacus...

In the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the Michel Arnould et Fils vineyard extends over 12 hectares of vines planted mainly with pinot noir. The wines of the domain are distinguished by their frank vinosity and their aromatic power. We find cuvees with a clear character like the Brut Tradition, a 100% pinot noir. The Carte d'Or cuvée is a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay grands crus, which come from the oldest vines of the estate. The nose is very expressive with generous aromas evolving subtly on the toasted.

Brother and sister, Clotilde and Nicolas Chauvet have joined their efforts and their common passion to manage the family estate located on two fabulous terroirs: Rilly-la-Montagne (premier cru) and Mont-Saint-Pierre. Each year, the duo produces beautiful wines such as the Cuvée Brut Tradition, made from a blend of equal parts of the three Champagne grape varieties, and a blend of the year's harvest and reserve wines (30%); and the Cuvée Brut Sélection. This beautiful champagne house was created in 1960 by Pierre and Françoise Lancelot Royer, and it is now their daughter Sylvie who since 1996 is in charge of the property. Since 1982, when Daniel Laurent and his wife Martine took over the estate, Domaine Laurent Gabriel has forged a solid reputation in the region. The company's cuvées are produced from the property's three hectares of vines on the slopes of Avenay-Val-d'Or (Premier Cru) and Avize (Grand Cru). The Cuvée Grande Réserve, composed of 75% pinot noir, 20% chardonnay and 5% meunier, particularly seduced us with its notes of cooked peach and honey. Divine with honey-marinated duck kebabs!

Spread over 17 communes, 3 of which are Grand Cru, the family vineyards of Maison Le Brun Servenay represent around 7 hectares of vines, some of which are octogenarian. These are the vines used to produce the 2005 Chardonnay cuvée. The other wines (Exhilarante 2004, Sélection NM, Rosé NM, Réserve NM, Cuvée XB 25, Cuvée XB 32), which have code names from spy films, are wines to treasure in your cellar.

Located in Barbonne-Fayel, this family business owns a dozen hectares spread over the Sézanne and Côte des Bars regions. With his 3 sons, Jérôme, Lionel and Laurent, Pierre Launay offers you very well worked wines. Their Brut, regularly awarded, caught our attention. In the Gold range, the Grande Réserve and the very beautiful Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut also impressed us. For them, we want to put the small dishes in the big and go hunting for the most beautiful products to concoct amazing food/wine matches!

The history of the domain is quite original, since its founder hesitated for a long time between his 2 passions: champagne and aviation, an activity that allowed him to rub shoulders with Mermoz and Saint-Exupéry! Barbier-Louvet Père et Fils have been managing a 99% classified Premier Cru vineyard for 6 generations. Pinot noir and Chardonnay are obviously king here, and the vines are worked with passion and great care. The results are very convincing, and the cuvées we discover are of the highest quality. A particular favorite is the L'Héritage de Serge Brut^{1er Cru} cuvée, a real success with its floral nose and fruity palate, and the beautiful Ensemble Prestige Grand Cru cuvée, a very fruity, delicate wine. Valérie and Benoît Lahaye are an atypical couple of winegrowers. Their small estate of 4.4 hectares, spread between Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tauxières-Mutry, is cultivated organically and with animal traction and their wine-making methods are beginning to interest many champagne producers in the region. Non-dosed wines, passage in barrels, non-use of sulfites for one of their cuvée (the Violaine cuvée of 2015, made in very few copies)... Located just north of Reims, the Les Six Coteaux cooperative is a group of winegrowers comprising over 100 producers and 115 hectares of vines. The winemaking methods and equipment used are modern, and the work carried out is worthy of the great Champagne houses. More affordable, the Delamotte champagne is also of great interest: the Blanc de Blancs cuvée, the stylish signature of the house, the Brut cuvée, an elegant and round champagne, with a generous length, the vintage Blanc de Blancs cuvée (currently 2014) and the Rosé cuvée, a very nice work in the finesse and fruit.
